I love this app as it really does help to show the progress and baby's routine of kicks and it is really simple to use. It would just be amazing if it would sync to your smart watch. As there's often times in the working day where I can't have my phone out in front of me. So I miss a lot of the day time activity, but If I could just count the kicks on my watch it wouldn't be as noticeable and I would have a full account of baies day not just the morning and evenings.
Reviews for Count the Kicks
I'm really happy with the functionality of the app. Devs did a great job and thank you for making it so free (of ads especially) My only constructive criticism, would be the somewhat unsettling colour scheme of red and orange together - maybe a nice, more subtle combination of cooler or paler/pastel shades would be easier on the eyes. It's a small thing in the grand scheme though.
I just downloaded this app. It keeps freezing and closing without saving the kicks counted. Very frustrating and quite useless since its not serving its advertised purpose. It also keeps bringing a pop-up asking me to "meet the team". I want to count my baby's kicks and save them, not meet your team. I am deleting my account and uninstalling it.
Seems like a great app but the technical glitches make it impossible to use effectively. I could sign up with a username and password but kept getting error messages when completing my profile, which meant that my email address was never attached to my account so I now can't recover my forgotten password. The kick session I'd registered also vanished from my account too. Such a shame because the alternative apps for counting kicks don't look as useful.
The app works without an account, so I started using it, and after I decided I liked it I created the account that the app was prompting me to do anyway. What I expected was that the data collected so far will be transfered to the newly created account. What happened instead is that the data is lost completely, not even available once I signed out. Extremely disappointing experience.
At first, I thought it was a helpful way to keep track of kicks, but now I just get frustrated because it will freeze up and not save my current kick counts and I have to start over. This makes it inaccurate for timing too. I'm pretty much done using this app as its been happening consistently each night for a while now. I can count on my own
It's good to use, but after I had completed two weeks of tracking kicks, it logged me out of my account and lost my data so I had to start my profile again. Hopefully this won't happen a second time. Otherwise I enjoy using it to help me keep track and it sends me a reminder if I haven't counted kicks in more than 24 hours. As a reminder tool it is great!
The counter works well but isn't that great for looking back at data. I wish the history was shown as a pattern, like average times and strengths during a typical 24 hours. Rather than just a list of times. None of these apps really seem to do what I want. I've stuck to this for a couple of weeks and I think I'm going to try something else. I also wish you could cancel a session, sometimes baby will only make a couple of kicks so I don't need to count it as a session.
Really like the app, nice and easy way to record kicks. it would be useful if there was a way to turn it into a widget so I could record the kicks without the app being open rather than having to re-open it every time
For something as simple as counting, this app makes everything infuriatingly frustrating. I had to sign up three times, because the register box kept closing on its own, just to learn that the previous attempts HAD gone through after all. When I finally got through signing up (why on earth was my postal code a required field?) it hadn't even saved my kicks, and I had to start over after doing a second in-app registration for the baby profile. Just write it down on paper, much, MUCH easier.
