I love this app as it really does help to show the progress and baby's routine of kicks and it is really simple to use. It would just be amazing if it would sync to your smart watch. As there's often times in the working day where I can't have my phone out in front of me. So I miss a lot of the day time activity, but If I could just count the kicks on my watch it wouldn't be as noticeable and I would have a full account of baies day not just the morning and evenings.
Reviews for Count the Kicks
← Back to Count the KicksI'm really happy with the functionality of the app. Devs did a great job and thank you for making it so free (of ads especially) My only constructive criticism, would be the somewhat unsettling colour scheme of red and orange together - maybe a nice, more subtle combination of cooler or paler/pastel shades would be easier on the eyes. It's a small thing in the grand scheme though.
I just downloaded this app. It keeps freezing and closing without saving the kicks counted. Very frustrating and quite useless since its not serving its advertised purpose. It also keeps bringing a pop-up asking me to "meet the team". I want to count my baby's kicks and save them, not meet your team. I am deleting my account and uninstalling it.
Seems like a great app but the technical glitches make it impossible to use effectively. I could sign up with a username and password but kept getting error messages when completing my profile, which meant that my email address was never attached to my account so I now can't recover my forgotten password. The kick session I'd registered also vanished from my account too. Such a shame because the alternative apps for counting kicks don't look as useful.
The app works without an account, so I started using it, and after I decided I liked it I created the account that the app was prompting me to do anyway. What I expected was that the data collected so far will be transfered to the newly created account. What happened instead is that the data is lost completely, not even available once I signed out. Extremely disappointing experience.
At first, I thought it was a helpful way to keep track of kicks, but now I just get frustrated because it will freeze up and not save my current kick counts and I have to start over. This makes it inaccurate for timing too. I'm pretty much done using this app as its been happening consistently each night for a while now. I can count on my own
It's good to use, but after I had completed two weeks of tracking kicks, it logged me out of my account and lost my data so I had to start my profile again. Hopefully this won't happen a second time. Otherwise I enjoy using it to help me keep track and it sends me a reminder if I haven't counted kicks in more than 24 hours. As a reminder tool it is great!
The counter works well but isn't that great for looking back at data. I wish the history was shown as a pattern, like average times and strengths during a typical 24 hours. Rather than just a list of times. None of these apps really seem to do what I want. I've stuck to this for a couple of weeks and I think I'm going to try something else. I also wish you could cancel a session, sometimes baby will only make a couple of kicks so I don't need to count it as a session.
Really like the app, nice and easy way to record kicks. it would be useful if there was a way to turn it into a widget so I could record the kicks without the app being open rather than having to re-open it every time
For something as simple as counting, this app makes everything infuriatingly frustrating. I had to sign up three times, because the register box kept closing on its own, just to learn that the previous attempts HAD gone through after all. When I finally got through signing up (why on earth was my postal code a required field?) it hadn't even saved my kicks, and I had to start over after doing a second in-app registration for the baby profile. Just write it down on paper, much, MUCH easier.
love this app. thank you devs for fixing the bug and making this app perfect again! I really love all the different resources. I actually found some I need that had not found anywhere else! so thank you!
App is frozen since update. I have been trying to log my kicks since 9/3 and it will will not finalize sessions. I have tried restarting, uninstalling, and checking for more updates. It's just stuck and I've lost 3 days of data
I really like the app, however since I updated it on Friday, it won't finalize the sessions. I've logged out, restarted etc. same issue. I've emailed the provided email address but the domain doesn't even exist. I've been struggling with this issue since the 05.09.25
I found out about this app from literature at my obstetrician's office. Count the Kicks makes counting my baby's movements much easier and less stressful, and I recommend it. The only issue that has happened to me 3 or 4 times is when I've finished a session and the app behaves like I've finished, the session will actually be incomplete because for some reason the 10th kick isn't counted. So, I've taken to double-checking each session in the Kick Session History and reentering the final kick.
Good premise for the app overall. However I often end up disappointed because I forget to come back and count, fall asleep, or baby needs me, my count will be way off and read, say an hour, when my last kick happened while I was busy. I wish I could edit kicks later for when I can't find my phone or am busy but feel kicking. The only options are to do each kick the moment it happens and in the time it happened. No editing whatsoever. I end up deleting overtimed ones and lose my data.
I appreciate this app for it's straightforward simplicity and ease of use. My biggest complaint is after the most recent update--Each time I open the app or complete a kick count, a form launches asking me for extensive personal information. This includes full name, email, DOB, and ZIP code. There's no info about why they're asking or it how it will be used. There's no option to opt out, so I see the form twice per session. It feels intrusive, and it's making me look into other options.
I really like this app. It's simple and easy to use. Before using the app I found it difficult to keep track of how many kicks I felt within a certain time period. I also like that it reminds me to count kicks. The only thing I would change is the graphs at the end. It's hard to see overall trends. While it does give you your average time I feel like it could give you more feedback and clearer graphs. Overall great free app with no ads and helps me keep tabs on my baby.
Very simple app, and easy to use. My only complaint is that I've had trouble setting up reminders. I turned them on for every night at the same time and I've had it for almost a week and haven't gotten any notifications. I made sure notifications are enabled for the app in my settings too but still nothing. Not a huge deal as I can set a calendar reminder, it would just be nice if that worked for me.
Great app, easy to use, doesn't require wifi when tracking like other apps. I'm a loss mama. Often times I will complete a session and it won't register it properly so the next time I go in to start a new session, it's been ticking away for hours, causing an inaccuracy. Wish I could just track kicks overall rather than count to 10, and that data was better sorted to identify baby's most active times. A lot could be done to improve this app, and I'd love to see that happen!
This app is easy to use with one big button to click for every kick. I wish they would more easily track active times of day. .. also if they had a start and stop time for active times not just counting until 10 kicks. I'm trying to track when my baby is most active as well as kicks. And possibly a notes section for "after a meal" " after a work out" ect so you can tell what activity is making your little one move.
