Pictures would be zoomed in upon viewing and would not allow me to zoom out (only while my fingers were holding the zoom). Counted the first photo perfectly, then failed to count about half of what was in photo from then on.
Reviews for Count This・Counting Things App
← Back to Count This・Counting Things AppIn App purchase needed. 3 day trail phase with mandatory credit card info, and a yearly subscription combined. I uninstalled directly. If it could be bought for a few bucks.... maybe. But yearly subscription? Just wait for a free app.
Loved the app it was super useful when counting meds at work. Sadly, for the past 2 weeks or so, the app either gives the wrong amount, or i get a network error.
this app worked good the 1st 3 months. I purchased a year subscription for $20. everything was going fine until the other day. I went to use it and every time I submit a picture to count the objects in it keeps continuously popping up saying network error even though I'm connected to Wi-Fi and have 5G internet. I even got a new pixel 9 phone today and got it all set up. tried it on that phone. hoping the issue would be resolved and still nothing. they better fix this or I want a refund 😡
Doesn't count simple objects like pine cones... I used this app a few years ago, or one exactly like this, and it worked amazing! We counted pinecones with it for giving the kids money for each pinecone they pick up out of the yard. Now it doesn't count very well at all. What happened?
Fun idea, but extremely limited once actually using the app. You need to tell it what you're trying to count first, which I did and it still got it wrong anyway. It also requires a subscription at $6/wk beyond the free trial. Good luck with that.
Works perfectly fine, only in portrait angles. Once the photo is taken slightly angled, the image is unzoomable. There is no functionality with seeing the whole image if taken at an angle. Must be an android thing, because my co-workers phones an iPhone and works as intended.
One of those apps which are so utterly incompetently designed that it's genuinely heartwarming that it thinks you'll happily fork out $6 a week. The machine learning bot isn't that bad - it's the interface that makes it useless. Some notes: - the total should match the number of markers because that's how counting works. - you should be able to scroll horizontally or zoom out on photos - the paywall right after install is a lovely touch
this app completely and utterly does not work it doesn't matter if the picture is clear as day less than a foot and a half away it misses the count by at least 20 to 30 of them so I had to manually click the items on the screen in order to get them to count properly and then it was still putting counts next to the items I click not even the ones I click adding multiple accounts so I had to delete additional accounts that added without me even pressing it... would not recommend this app to anyone
I gave this three stars, because the app is fantastic, but it license options make zero sense. $26.00\year, or $5.00\week. So $26.00 a year or $260.00 a year. I think it was supposed to read $4.99\mth, but there's a glitch obviously, and why anyone would choose to even pay $60.00 a year over $26.00 a year, doesn't make sense either. Regardless, Google keeps cancelling the subscription after charging me $0.00 for the app. I think the developer needs to get this sorted out.
Seriously, you want money for this useless app, it failed miserably to count even in great conditions, the objects were round and well defined by shadows, the algorithm of the app is poorly written, I will make a free app that will be 100 times better than this, you will see in a few months, or maybe in January 2023, believe me, I have all the programming knowledge and mathematical skills to accomplish it. It makes me angry how people want to profit through fraud.
Doesn't come close to working, even after paying for the subscription. Small black objects on a white table, with proper overhead lighting, perfect contrast, and the app counted 6 out of the ~30 objects. Canceled subscription after maybe 5 minutes. Very disappointed.
Used it my first run and it accurately counted 445 pills on the first take. Seems to work pretty good so far, granted I've only used to it count my pills nothing else. Update: after using twice, I can no longer use. Everytime I try to use, I take a photo and im hit with there ad to sign up/ trial offer. Every single time I exit off this it pops up again. So I will delete. It seem promising.
it's continuously gotten better over time each time I use it. I personally don't use it very often but the improvements were quite significant at times now is just consistently good at what it does. use to be I had to spread stuff out to make sure nothing touching while at times I still need to slightly spread things out most of the time I don't and even when things are overlapping each other they get counted correctly it's pretty awesome now in days.
I wish this worked. I'm going to have to unsubscribe. When you take a photo, then it asks you to select one of the items, it won't let you move over the photo to select which part you want. It always shoots the photo back over to the left no matter what. It's such a pain. In 2024,we should have the technology to count items in a picture using a computer. My need is to count tiny seeds in a photo so that I can compare that to the weight and save that information. This won't work for that. Bummer.
Worked great, but the $3.99 per week subscription cost is ridiculous for someone like me who just wants to use it once or twice a month to verify the pill counts of meds I receive. If it was $1.99 a month I might subscribe but $3.99 per week? Ridiculous for the number of times I would use it. Maybe if they based the subscription on number of scans allowed per month, it might work. Say 50 scans per months for $1.99 or unlimited for $3.99 per week. I just can't justify $16 per month for 5 scans.
I love this app I love the ability to count large amounts broken down into 10 separate photos, the mass variety of "things" you can choose from to have counted for you is easy to discern from each separate category because it clearly states what the item is and shows a photo of said item. I love the fact that this is hands down the fastest counter Ive had to opportunity to use first hand and it has not let me down yet. Kudos to the creator.
Garbage, only allows a minute quantity of known types of objects to be counted. Of those, it rarely results in an accurate sum of items. Of course, the very first screen shows you options to get the full version. I would not recommend even if the full version was free.
The app seems to be working in some ways. the picture that we took kept defaulting to the left side of the screen and we couldn't zoom in or out and it or select anything on the other parts of the screen making it pretty much unusable for us. but if we took a picture of something on The left side of the screen and only that part of the screen it worked okay
I gave the app three stars, because it has features that the other players don't. The ability to check and correct counts after the image is taken, the ability to rename an image, and the ability to share images to other network locations. However, for a product that says "Pills" in the description, it is way too innacurate. There are double counts and miscounts continually. The average so far is 4 out of 5 counts are wrong, and that makes this an unreliable choice...
