So here's my take on CountThings from Photos. I've tested a bunch of business productivity apps and this one's actually pretty solid. The object detection works well most of the time and it's great that you can customize the templates or even build your own. Saves a ton of time compared to counting stuff manually. On the downside, the free version has annoying ads and the paid upgrade is a little pricey. But if you need this kind of functionality, it's one of the better options out there.

Pros

  • Quickly and accurately counts objects in photos
  • Tons of pre-made templates to choose from
  • Can customize the app to your specific workflow
  • Free to download, though ads can get annoying

Cons

  • Template detection isn't perfect, can be hit or miss
  • Paid version is a bit pricey for an app of this type
  • Gets repetitive if you're using it for the same task over and over

Description

Been using CountThings from Photos for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you quickly count objects in your photos. Pretty solid if you’re into business apps and need to, well, count things from photos.

Here’s what you do: you just take a pic, the app analyzes it, and then it counts the number of whatever you’re trying to count – could be products, inventory, parts, whatever. There’s also a bunch of pre-made templates you can use, which is pretty cool. And you can even customize the app to your specific workflow – take out the features you don’t need and just keep the ones you do.

Look, if you work in a field where you’re constantly counting things, you’ll probably get a lot of use out of this app. It’s not perfect – the templates can be a little hit or miss sometimes – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if that sounds like something you need.

Works great for counting logs on trucks Lots of templates that makes tallying unique objects accurately. The only downside is that it's a subscription plan that starts at $99/month. If...

I've had this app for almost a year and was very satisfied. However, they now require a hefty subscription that isn't worth the output. I would have kept it even...

App is really accurate only problem is too expensive for a monthly fee and unfortunately my company will not pay that. Developers could offer once off payments. Customers can buy...
