I was able to login and advance one time. I paid the advance back on time and before my due date. I logged in a couple of days later and t says I'm permanently banned and then I go to log into the same account and I get to the verification code screen and it says it has sent code and nothing happens every single time. I've tried troubleshooting every way I can think of. THIS APP IS COMPLETE TRASH. 🗑 OH and I might add that months have gone by and the app has been updated on multiple occasions.

I don't recommend this app at all and then once you repay your Advance then they charge you for your subscription as well. afterwards you have to wait for that to process
This app started out great and helpful but now I can't seem to add my new debit card. All it says is "card connection is not available."I've contacted support several times only to receive an email saying that they are working on the issue. However, I still can't add my new debit card and no one has fixed the issue or contacted me since.
Was immediately granted a $100 advance to be repaid on my next pay day. The instant transfer fee is a little steeper than some other apps, but the trade off is that you don't have to purchase a monthly subscription (which I couldn't currently afford, hence the need for the advance). You also don't have to pay that fee up front either. Hopefully, in the near future, I'll be in a position where I won't need apps like Credit Genie. Until then, they've earned my vote of confidence.
Don't do this to yourself, don't think of installing this. My loan repayment was taken out of my account, and it took over a week of contacting "customer service" to acknowledge the debit. The app was saying the payment was "late," and repayment would be attempted later that week. Finally, today, after losing my s$#@ I got a customer service agent to acknowledge in writing that they had taken the money out. Beyond Ridiculous.
I was going to do 5 stars. No joke. The process was quick and easy, I was even ok paying the $4.99 monthly fee. the money was debited on the day it needed to come out. It's no longer pending, but the app says past due 2 days with then saying they will take another 114. Ansoloutly not, it's gone frim my acct and you're you're not taking double. Like I said, I would have kept the app, continued the 4.99 subscription, not disconnected my bank and given 5 stars. but not anymore. I can prove it came
I disconnected my bank info in error, however it says I have to wait 5 days until being able to reconnect it again. it's been about 5 days now and it's still saying the same thing when I try to reconnect my bank info. I'm really frustrated at this time because I really thought credit Genie was great but it's starting to really make me second my review on this because it's not coming through on its promises. It's really being difficult for me to reconnect.
$50 advance, along with a *bargain* $6.99 fee, was easy enough to secure. the fact the $56.99 repayment was debited from my attached checking account a FULL DAY EARLIER than contracted is shady as hell. in addition, my checking account balance has reflected the COMPLETED premature repayment since the debit was initiated. meanwhile, it's still showing in the app as *pending*?? the lack transparency isn't ok. my account will be closed immediately.
I decided to give this app a try. Big mistake! I tried to get 3 loans and was denied. But I was charged $4.99 TWICE within TWO WEEKS. I want to cancel but was told I can only disable my account. Now I'm finding out that I will still continue to get charged that $4.99 unless I disconnect my bank account. Can't do that because I have no access to my account for 60 days. I DO NOT recommend Credit Genie to anyone! There are better apps like this that are SO much better!!
This is a really great app when you are in need and need a little help until Payday. What stunned me is the fee of I believe $5.99 that comes out each pay check and in addition, if you want the funds immediately, it's almost $20. And basically the same by 50 cent difference if you decide to get it same day but free if you decide, you want to wait 3 to 5 days which most people don't have. Overall decent app, but the fees are outrageous.
I was approved right away for $100, however the fee to recieve the cash instantly is $14.99. That is way too high. While I understand the fee is optional to receive the cash right away, it's still too high. And waiting a few days to receive it for free is not always an option. I've used other apps in the past Life Dave, who charged $5, Earnin who didn't have a fee for instant cash, & Moneylion, which was $8.
I meet and have met ALL qualifications listed to get an advance for several months now and all I get is "Cannot get an advance at this time. Try again in 24hrs". Also, it won't let me add my debit card. Always says "Card connection not available!" Pretty sure the app is just a scam so they can make money off of you paying the bank connection fee every month.
I was approved for a advance had a agreement to pay it back in 4 payments. 1st payment goes through no problem, then randomly before the second payment is due they take the rest and block me from using again. I wasn't late and everything was up to date. I emailed for support and wasn't given any other information. Will be contacting my bank that wasn't the agreement and I am making a formal complaint with the attorney general. Your service sucks.
This was a very good app for medium-sized payday loans and I have been a customer with them since March of 2024. Fees are the highest in the industry and they will close accounts for "terms and conditions". I believe this was done in error and was told to contact CS and ask for a review. 5 attempts to do this have been made, and each response was a robotic reply repeating the same generic response" your account was closed due to terms % conditions. Not one attempt to review my account!!
I was happy with app at first I view it as a little blanket of financial help. From the beginning it was awesome installed app and was offered 100 dollars right away. but there is no option to make the payment early if you want. I tried to make a payment manually early so I can have access to it again it claimed that I was past due and took it out of my bank account now the app won't even open up for me so I guess it's a one and done for me a can't even access the app anymore.
I keep having charges come out of my account. The app keeps crashing, and I can't see what is going on. **** as of 10/10/2025**** I am going to have to keep a close eye on my bank account to make sure payments come out. I put in a request to close the subscription and was told I had to wait until my balance was paid back. not sure if it has become I cannot get on the app. it constantly crashes. I have cleared everything and re-installed. Still nothing. Good thing I took a screenshot
Horrible customer service! Don't waist your time with this app especially with other apps out there that don't charge you these crazy fees. $12 to transfer $100, 8.99 a month. Takes a week for advance to settle before you can get a new advance even though it's cleared my bank on the day it's due. Tried numerous times to link my debit card without success and customer service email me saying I'm inputting my info incorrectly! I know which card is linked to my bank. Not even an option to cancel
Not sure why this app says it offers cash advance, because I haven't qualified one time in the few months I've been using it. I am, however, perfectly qualified to pay them 4.99 every two weeks for absolutely nothing but telling me what is going on in my bank accounts! So, basically, if you sign up and it denies you an advance, go ahead and delete it (and disconnect it from your bank!), because chances are, you won't ever qualify. Oh! And they "can't" delete your info, so that's great, too. 🙄
*This is a new review*I borrowed $20 a couple times and then was able to borrow $100. It takes an excruciatingly long time for paymemts to clear and they always take it out in micropayments. It doesn't matter if the $ is in your acct they'll take less. At least for me anyway. So weird! So if you're trying to borrow money often and think you can borrow right after you pay it, this is not the app for you!
1) they charge a subscription fee (that you don't sign up for) even if you don't use the app. They also say when they take the money out of your account it will clear within a few hours. My payment cleared almost a week ago & it still shows as outstanding. I've tried using the limited chat function, but it's useless. I've put in for an agent to contact me multiple times but they have never replied. I wish I had never dealt with them at this point.
