CreditWise is very useful in helping to monitor and build credit scores. Useful tips, timely notifications. The only downside is that it most usually takes several attempts to access it, saying the app is taking longer than usual to boot up, check back later. This happens more often than not. It is very frustrating when trying to take care of business on the go. I would otherwise recommend the app for anyone who is trying to build back or to maintain a good credit score.
Reviews for CreditWise from Capital One
Easy to use credit tracker, but doesn't track funds in real time, even if you pay off your debt, it won't show up on your credit report sometimes even after a FEW 7 day updates, best to pay off your debt right away every time you use any credit because you'll never know when it will report your balance or available credit to the bureau's. This is the best way to build credit and increase your line of credit the quickest.
Hands down the best credit monitoring app I have found. I love how each part of the score is broken down and made it easy to figure out how it all works. Then you got the simulator which can tell you (very close estimation) what your score would do by introducing a new line of credit. Or if I paid 50 toward a credit card, I am shown my score would rise slightly becsusr my "credit used" went down.
They have a input calculator that shows how much your score will go up or down depending on if you pay your debt off or spend more. That is just one example of the calculator but really you can input any possible change to your credit report and it will show you how much your score will change if you actually end up doing it. This is a super helpful feature that helps you plan ahead to keep your score as high as possible.
Couldn't be any easier to navigate. Love how you can simulate very different scenarios to see if your score will drop or go up, depending if making a big purchase or paying off loans/credit cards. This app also alerts you on a possible breach to one of your accounts and even your email. I log in once or twice a week to see how I am doing. Thank you for the app.
My credit score is so different then what my bank reports. They are using the same system yet, there is 45 difference. Seems like Capitol One purposely lowers your score and they will tell you they don't know why.."we just don't understand" was the normal response I got from them. The app for monitoring your score and changes to your credit, its good, just have 2nd way of checking your score. If you don't, it my cost you money... that's one of the reasons I changed credit card companies.
I can honestly say, that utilizing "CreditWise," has been easy and wonderful, simultaneously. CreditWise does all the work for you. You simply login, and view your file. It is so simplistic. You receive what I call, a "Scorecard," which gives you a grade on each subcategory of your credit report. You can easily see where work is required, to improve your score. Most importantly, you can view it whenever without your credit-score being jeopardized. No soft/hard hits to your credit record.
A product that needs an upgrade so often needs to be redesigned. Is it really an upgrade, or the source of all these mysterious new emails I have been getting...in addition, much of the metrics are redundant, but seem to at the same time signify something different. Makes no sense. Just a panic button to get you to buy something. I am impressed at how quickly and accurately information is gathered. Too bad banks dont actually use it. Getting a loan is a mysterious matter beyond a credit score.
seems pretty good and easy to use. I don't how much detail is available but for the average person who just wants to see where they are its good and its free. I like the little credit simulator - if you want to open it account or buy a house it shows what it does to your credit rating, and if your going to be late on payments (say it isnt so lol) it shows that also. Here also there are not lot of options but it is easy to use. It has been a good App so far & w free service its even better : )
500 characters? i'll try to keep it short. it's cool but, not always accurate. The app does not update your current balances even after the updates. It will say I have money owed in one or two places and I never leave a balance on any of my cards for more than 20 days, I also have no other credit lines open (loans, etc.) It also says my credit score is about 80-100points lower than my FICO score from my banks/Credit unions (FICO is the best one, as it checks all 3 Credit scores)So, stay vigilant
