I love this app! It's so helpful to have a record of all my threads. I used a spreadsheet before but kept forgetting to update it, but the app makes that a lot easier. The fabric calculator is very helpful too. The only problem I found today is that four Anchor varigated threads aren't listed so I can't add them (1260, 1214, 2526, 1235).
Reviews for Cross Stitch Thread Organizer
← Back to Cross Stitch Thread OrganizerThe best app ever! Very versatile, I could buy 3 apps to do what this one does. Very easy to use and you can always go back to the help menus at any time. I only had one problem where I entered a fabric size/colour and it didn't save, but that could have been my error.
Great app! I had already listed my threads into a spreadsheet to include the two brands I have but this is unwieldy on my phone. This app will make shopping so much easier as I will be able to see at a glance if i need to purchase a colour. I can see from other reviews that the app developer takes on board users' experience to make improvements and the positive feedback gave me confidence to buy the app, which I've never done before. I would definitely recommend it!
this app is such a lifesaver. 2 features that would make it even better: a 'empty shopping cart' option so I don't have to do it 1-by-1 and an option mark a color 'close to running out' or something similar; a precursor to putting things in the shopping cart.
It's really a nice app, but could you fix the DMC Eco Vita line? there are only 14 colors showing and the numbers are different what is on the skein. I will happily change my rate after that to 5 stars :)
Love this app! Having this with all my projects, shopping lists, and fabrics definitely curbs my floss purchases. A feature I wish it had was tracking whether you have a floss as a bobbin, a skein, or a partially used set. Not sure if it's a viable aspect that can be added to the app so at least I still have a backup spreadsheet with these specifics.
Great tool to inventory my huge thread stash! I love that we can also add custom lists for the threads that don't have their own. I recently created a list of all 445 Appletons Crewel Wool threads. i wanted to share it with the app creator in case it might be of interest to other stitchers, but unfortunately that function didn't work for me. I get a warning saying the app couldn't find an email app on my phone to sent the list (I have 2).
useful but needs a way to track bobbins and skeins separately
Love this app! Fast and easy way to keep track of what I have what I need, and what projects I am working on. Completely above the free apps I was using before. Frame calculator is great and the app will automatically remove thread from inventory when you add it to a project or removes it from the shopping list when it is added to the inventory. If you chose to do so in the settings. Colour matcher! Simple and easy to use. Tutorials are easy to understand and can be replayed if needed.
After feedback!! Thanks for helping me find the button i needed... Five stars!! Nice!! I love this app, had a similar one YEARS ago which was lost when the ipad dropped. How easy would it be to instead of click and hold to add to inventory, just have a + or - button. Adding a long list of colours to my store takes a long time and often where there is 4/5 skeins i add and remove and add and add to list etc. Any ideas...
Good organizer, although it took me some time to realize some of the possibilities. It would be nice, after finishing a project, to be asked, if there are leftovers. Also some dimension colours are missing and the link to the dimensions website doesn't work. I would add the colours by myself, but as I noticed, it is not possible. I don't want to create my own list.
Love this App! My threads are inventoried and I love that I can record the quantity of each colour. I've had issues with adding a photo to my projects. I keep getting a symbol with ! or something that looks like mountains but I don't know they mean. Help appreciated! I've tried re-adding a dozen times with same result. I want to keep this as my go-to App!
Love this app! I have been using it for over a year now, and it's never let me down. I really love the added features of start & end dates on projects, as well as notes. I always rely on the shopping cart when I go to purchase new floss, and I'd love to be able to add from my cart, to my inventory (perhaps a swipe feature?) after I've made my purchase! Thanks for the work you've put into this app 💕💕
I love this app! It's been a great help with floss organization but more so with helping in color substitutions and blending colors. It's my go-to app for all my threads and seed beads. I'm just starting to use it for my projects as well. I'd recommend this app to anyone.
I love this app. Before the pandemic it was very useful to take with me shopping. The only two things I wish it had were,.a notes button on the individual colors. I used the low button but that got confusing. The second is the option to add the extra inches on fabric on the calculator. I have a messed up brain so when I think I have it measure several times, write out down & I still mess up my fabric. If there was a way for the calculator to tell me my measurements then it would be 10 stars.
I love this app and have been using it for years. It's brilliant for tracking threads, fabric, shopping lists, patterns and projects with conversion of patterns into a project. There is project thread allocation and stitch completion and photo logs and thread brand conversion. Plus you can also export to backup data.
Pretty good! I wanted to suggest though, if it would be possible to add total stitch count for a project without being required to add horizontal and vertical dimensions. Most of my projects are not full-coverage, so the total stitch counts become inaccurate. Update: Thank you for the instructions on how to find this. Updated to 5 stars for the help and response :)
This app is fantastic. A bit confusing... and I wish I could add threads to projects without them first having to be in my inventory. I am just starting out and have a lot of already made up kits, I don't want to have to add the threads to the inventory and then remove them to add them to a project. It would be nice to just have them in a project and I can add them to my inventory later. Also wish there was a category for purchased kits that could be added to projects without adding threads.
Amazing app! You've thought of everything! This fixes all the issues I didn't like about a different app I used. Awesome that it shows the color on screen and can help me find color substitutions. Love that there is a calculator (& it can be switched from metric to imperial) and I don't have to open a separate app for that. I really like that I can just have the lists of threads I use and turn off the ones I don't use. Great tutorials and thank you for making it able to see them again! Thank you!
Great app! I used to try to keep a spreadsheet of my threads, but it was just too much of a pain to keep updated. I'm a statistics nerd so I was a bit disappointed the thread list didn't have overall counts until I found that under Misc. One improvement I would like to see would be to filter by threads in a list I DON'T have, so I could easily build up stock to where I have all DMC colors (yes, I'm a completionist). LOL, found the filter option I wanted right after writing this! Slow brain day!
