I used the application alot to reserve a spot in classes. Recently, I was prompted to upgrade, attempted it several times and finally removed the application. Rebooted the phone and attempted a clean install. That also failed. Not sure why you'd change an application that was working. You may want to consider user testing before rollout!
Reviews for Crunch Fitness
← Back to Crunch FitnessThe app works well enough, but it's a bit frustrating when every time I open the app it asks me to enable notifications. I simply use the app to check into the gym so there's no need for it to send me notifications. It doesn't matter how many times I say no enabling push notifications, it asks every single time. Fix this and it would get 5 stars
App seems all-around broken. Check in tracker doesn't work, class reservations don't work. I haven't been able to do a class in awhile because every time I attempt to reserve a spot, the app is busted, and I apparently can't just walk in and sign up for a class. The whole reason I got peak membership was for classes that I can't use. Feels like a big scam.
Overall, the app is okay. What's very disappointing to be are the Crunch Live videos. First, they can no longer be found on Roku or Apple TV. That's no fault of the app and wouldn't be an issue IF I could stream them from the app to my TV. But then, you can't even turn your phone and have the image rotate on your screen. The last two things would be an easy fix. Also recently realized that my Fitbit updated once when I paired it and hasn't updated since.
Since the update before last, I have been unable to even open the app beyond the loading screen. That's two updates of nothing but loading and then crash. I've even tried to delete and start over with full install, to no avail. I can't even evaluate it properly if it won't even load. **Edit** For the first time in 5 months I'm able to get into app after deleting and reinstalling for 10th time. So good on the company for getting the crashes fixed. Still, 5 months? 1 star to 3 stars.
I only downloaded the app to be able to book a class. There's no option to book a class, so I uninstalled the app. (I'm not interested in logging my check-ins and workouts, so I didn't try to test these features--although from other reviews they seem to be buggy as well.) I don't see a way to book a class on the online website for my gym, either, so I guess my only option is to show up to the gym and hope that the class isn't booked. (It seems from their FAQ that this feature varies from gym to gym and tells you to "Contact your home gym.") VERY annoying.
I have been having issues with this app!! I can't login! It keeps saying that they don't have my username and password on file!!! This is ridiculous!!!! I go over to the gym and my key is scanned everytime!!! This needs to be fixed!! I have no idea what classes are available, what time they are!! I'm very annoyed by this!!
I have been trying for 5 days to book classes and it isn't allowing it. I deleted the app and reinstalled it. Still not working. I've missed classes because I couldn't book it and they filled up. Spoke with 2 employees at my gym and they have no idea why. I'm paying for a membership and can't book classes. Not happy about this at all. Im considering canceling my membership if it's not fixed soon.
I recently joined the gym and downloaded the app, which doesn't actually work. I try to log in and get an error message saying to try again later. A gym employee tried to help me, but there's definitely something wrong with the app. Now, I'm missing out on some popular classes because I can't sign up for the classes through the app. Please fix asap. Very disappointing. I may cancel my membership as I really only joined for the classes.
The app needs to stop asking me if I want to enable notifications. Every day, I select "Not now," yet it keeps pestering me. It's annoying how it constantly asks to enable notifications. Maybe there could be an option like "No, I'm not interested" instead of asking every time I open the damn app. And adding a message saying I can disable notifications right after enabling them feels like an attempt to make me forget about it and leave the notifications on.
App is great for scheduling classes and tracking times you went to the gym, but it sucks for logging workouts or anything else. It doesn't log your fitness classes as part of your workouts as if you can remember each exercise you did in a 30-60 min HIIT class. And it deletes my strength exercises multiple times from the workout tracker as I'm trying to record it. You have to create ANOTHER account (EGYM) to actually review your past workouts, but I've never seen an EGYM machine. I hate this app.
Unstable app! It took forever to register for a class last night. Today it's snowing and I can't access the app to cancel my spot for the class. I logged in online (not the app) and cancelled it. However with the app not functioning, I don't have access to my scan code because I never received a physical card. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the app to fix the issue. You can't direct your customer base to an app for all of their needs if the app is unreliable.
I downloaded the app a month ago or so. Primarily to see when the gym is busy as im in recovery from and injury and don't want to be in there during peak times. I haven't been able to use it once. I keep getting "We're sorry! Something went wrong. Please try again later." Can't log in, can't change password. But I can definitely get emails from them.
Honestly, the only reason why I downloaded the app was to participate in activity points and gym rankings, super pointless when it doesn't track right. Will not actually add my points up to accurately say where I am compared to others! I've tried uninstalling and adding the app back, closing it, logging out. This app only shows the points from my last workout, so while others have thousands of points, I sit in the hundreds no matter how often I go. Would not recommend it!
When trying to record workouts, it has had me have to reinstall everything more than once, so I stopped using the feature. Does not keep accurate track of all gym visits . Constantly missing days each week. Is convenient to sca. In with my phone. Having all the different equipment listed is great. Just wish it was a little more user friendly.
The app is okay at best. There are some glaring issues with how it works. My biggest complaint, I paid for personal training sessions, but the app won't communicate with what the trainer's app has so I can see assigned workouts. I even tried entering the workouts myself to create a workout, well that doesn't work because it does not align with the exercises in her system. I reached out for support, but never received a respinse and my home gym is trying, no luck there. It needs a serious revamp.
I hate this app it won't let me log in at all and can't register for zumba!!!! I hate it and just because I got a new number. I email customer service and they didn't help me at all or gym!!! I even feel like calling crunch headquarters or customer service number. I really think their customer service needs to get better i hate that I'm having this much trouble with an app.
App is decent, would be an easy 4 or 5 stars with two additional features. In addition to the short preview of each exercise when you click on the image, a link to a more detailed video would be amazing as new gym goers. Also support for Samsung Health linking would be great, it's the most common wearable on android and even the equipment in the gym pairs to it.
I use the app all the time to reserve classes, create and log custom workouts, and track my weight lifted. I like that it saves the last weight entered, and it has helped me progressively overload. My check-in tally is not accurate, I wish I could go out to scan my barcode without having to lose the workout I'm tracking (if I'm doing recovery) and sometimes it's wonky to find and save a workout but otherwise a very beneficial and user-friendly app.
A "pop up" came up suddenly to prompts to "allow notifications" and states that you can go into settings and change this setting anytime. The ONLY options are "allow" and "not at this time." I went into my settings, and they are set to not allow notifications. Despite this, the pop-up comes up every time I open this app and forces me to make a selection every single time before I can use the app. I am tempted to end my membership with Crunch completely.
