Reviews for Cupixel: make art with a twist

I'm not going to pay $12.99/mo for an app if I can't get a free trial to see if I like it. It's just a bunch of videos showing how to draw using the app but you can't actually use the app to draw.

Really satisfied with the app and also final painting. Great use of technology to make the lives of novice painters like me very easy. I really felt like I am a professional painters even I didn't had any prior experience in this artwork. Using AR in the fielding of painting is something out of the box. App has superb user experience and well guided steps for creating a masterpiece. Thank you Cupixel 😊

Cupixel is a great app for experienced, or even novice artist. They are currently adding even more to the app, making it even better! You can pick from their suggested projects, or import your own pictures to draw and paint. From converting your image into a sketch to tracing through your devices camera, instructional videos help you along your way. Pause the video while you work on your project, or chat with instructors. You will be creating your own works in no time!

I gave this app two stars because whenever I tried to draw, the app kept moving the picture, and it wouldn't stay still. You also have to pay a lot of money to draw the good things.

I have absolutely no art experience, but that doesn't matter with this app. I'm absolutely able to draw using this. Maybe the best part is the portraits I can draw using my own pictures. They're awesome.

The app is hot trash. The fact that it requires me to have a membership in order to use anything on the app and don't even get me started on the fact that I need to be consistently connected to the Internet. Why? I would rather take art class in person or I don't know. Fail my way to becoming a better artist. The only savings grace is that I bought this at Joann's when they were going out of business.

The layout could be so much better!! This app has the potential to be the #1 AR Art App. I appreciate the stand they send, gosh it makes it easier!! What is hard is my larger projects or more detailed projects. Yall have put so much work into this app, I truly appreciate all yalls hardwork and dedication to only making it better!!

App doesn't work. I did everything. Downloaded, subscribed, got stand, etc. But everytime I start to trace the App stops working. EVERYTIME.!!! So technically I've never been able to actually use the App. I want my money back.

Using your own photos should be free. Especially paying for the stand and paint. Stay away from this unless you want to waste money on an app. Just get a mini projector or full size one, you'll spend the same per year The only thing I use the stand for is to hold my phone while cooking

Real life product is great, app...isnt. The real kit has very nice acrylic paints, pretty good paint brushes and pencils, a nice eraser and device stand, and good canvas. However, the app itself isn't that amazing. If your screen happens to shut off while the app is on you usually need to restart the app because it just shows a loading screen. It also wont allow me to play music on a seperate app even if it's not showing a video. Please update the app! Overall fun project but needs work.

I liked using Cupixal. I used it to copy a picture from my phone onto a shirt that I would work on for the next week, embroidering. It's a real cool tool to transfer a pattern onto fabric. My only disappointment was that I couldn't upload a picture of my finished project a week later. You have to finish your art in one sitting to be able to upload a picture of the finished piece. If they could fix that, I would give this app 5 stars. If it's already possible, they need to be more clear on how.

i dont really review things but i bought this kit at joanne fabrics expecting to basicallly have a paint by numbers type activity to relax. this thing had a sticker price of 30 bucks but there was a whole shelf of them going for a little less. they coudnt even sell these things if they tried. know why? you cant use your own photos to trace without paying them. shameful. i was duped. do better.

this is such a useless app. you get the product for so much and then you need a subscription? there's so many other apps out there that actually let's you use pictures from your gallery without having a subscription. I don't get the 4 star 5 star ratings.

I highly recommend this app even if you are an advanced artist this app is amazing! there is over a thousand plus artisan lead projects they're constantly adding more. what's even more so is the people who are bringing these projects to you they are wonderful they're warm they're caring they really do help you and answer all of your questions. not only that but they remember the little details with each one of us and the app is constantly getting better every time they have an update.

I loved this app in the beginning, but that was before every time I tried to open the app it said Oops, sorry things aren't working correctly. Try again later. All it does now is load and flash that message. I can't access the app even though I keep getting notifications from it. Although when you get into the app it has great features and I really enjoyed it.

You guys, seriously? I'm pretty sure that people buy your product to help them draw from their own photos. THAT is a premium feature that needs a subscription? How can I gift your product and then tell the recipient that they'll need a subscription. You boast about the free app but neglect to make it clear that it requires a subscription for the most basic of functions. How many stock images really meet everyone's needs?

This is a huge rip-off with limited capabilities unless you have a monthly subscription. The kit is basically useless without the paid subscription ($13/mo !!! Outrageous!!) I'll be returning it to the store. To be clear, in reply to the admin who responded, this is a $13 monthly subscription for MINIMAL return. I know there is a trial period, and I'm aware of the free options, which are at their best 1st grade coloring pages. There's zero justification for the exorbitant fee.

Not worth $12.99 a month. Very disappointing. Was hoping for more free options to help my daughter out. Only a set of clip art feet. Can't add any of my own pictures either for free. Just not worth the price imo. Was excited to see how it worked but this was a let down. There should be a free tear where we can add a limited amount of our own pictures a month and basic tools, nothing fancy. I.e: 3 pix a month. Then maybe a second tear for $5.99 with more features added.

I love this app so much. I bought one of the sets with a stand included when my local JoAnn Fabrics was going out of business. I had no idea at the time the app would be such a source of inspiration! I love to paint, but am not great at drawing. The tracing technology opens things wide open for me now! it seems like the possibilities are endless. The classes and art instructors are great. I can't believe the monthly membership is so affordable. I'm okay with it - for sure! I'm just surprised.

What a brilliant little app. First I was upset because you only get a few free images you can trace and you cannot access images in your own gallery without paying. But, fair enough the images are useful to establish if you like the app or not. It's so simple. My 9 year old effortlessly drew some spectacular images. We decided to get the app for 7.99$ per month. He's enjoying it so much. As a bonus when you sign up, you can add 3 extra family members or friends to use the full app. Very happy.
