I honestly don't get all the bad reviews. Our production company is using it at our event without issue. Granted, we aren't using the attendee functionality, just keeping track of all the general sessions and breakouts. I like the ability to search and filter for literally anything. It could be snappier, but so could the WiFi in literally every ballroom. So I can't fault it like everyone else seems to be. It has a simple and effective interface.
Reviews for Cvent Events
Incredibly slow. Tapping on any item often takes 10 seconds or more before anything happens. The default schedule view isn't smart enough to show me current and future sessions, it always starts from the first event of the conference. Then I have to try to scroll (which often doesn't work) to the current day. And don't think you'll have any better luck by adding them to your personal schedule. Clicking the plus button works rarely. In summary, something is seriously broken with this app.
Broken links to live events or significant audio static interference, making audio impossible to hear.
I can't screenshot the app. The profile photo uploader doesn't offer an image resizer.
I hate this app and wished the conference would stop using it. It rarely works and is a battery drain.
App is good. I used it for a conference at my workplace. Couple of things can be improved: 1. Log in interface could be better. I had to log in multiple times when I was adding the event to the app. 2. The event search doesn't give any autofill recommendations. You have to type in the full name of the event and that too, you need to know it exactly. E.g., if you type 'and' in the event search, and the actual name of the event had '&' in it, the search won't find the event, a bit diasspointing.
pretty easy to use. it was a little balky right after installation but that straightened out quickly enough.
A good, user friendly tool for organizing attendees at conferences.
Impossible to upload a photo then lost entire ability to do profile.
Clunky, buggy app! Drains your phone rapidly. No password. All attendees use same code to sign in. Despite many setup attempts, it never worked!!! Customer unsupport (Vaibhav and his manager Jyodi) were wholly disinterested in helping with the log-in glitches. Responses included: "No one would be able to help you," "A supervisor can't help you," "I wouldn't know how to help," and best of all "Who gave you our [Cvent] number?" There are way better apps out there for conference attendees!
