Reviews for Dairy Queen® Food & Treats

I eat there 3-4xs a week. The app has awesome coupons and it is supposed to be easy to earn points. Unfortunately this is not the case. The ordering system doesn't list all items that are available in store. I end up missing a lot of points. Worst thing... the other night I submitted an order, went to my DQ, notified via app I was there. It was confirmed as successful. The freaking store wasn't even open!!! It hadn't been for awhile that night. I mean seriously... WTH???

App is glitchy, installed today and was able to order and pay successfully. The tracking order feature doesn't update when it's ready. It gives you an estimated time. I went inside and it was already prepared. The process of ordering and picking up was really easy. I noticed the drink options were limited on the app versus what I could purchase inside. When I tried logging back into the app tonight, it didn't work. It wouldn't even find my location any longer. I uninstalled/reinstalled, no luck

Ordering/paying was easy. I ordered curbside pick up after using the app for the first time. It took me 15 minutes to realize there was an email where I need to "check in" my order to have my order prepared. I was also prompted to use the app to say "I'm here" however I could not find that option in the app anywhere. I eventually just walked into the DQ to retrieve my order. There are also some menu limitations in terms of what items you can order that are being served currently.

It's very inconvenient that there's absolutely no way to cancel an order once it's submitted. The store that you send the order to can't cancel & neither can the app. *Update* & so today I discovered that there's no way to get your points when "the scanner doesn't work." I asked the cashier if she could just type in my phone number, she says no. I started going here more just to see if the rewards are worth it. But I guess not since I can't earn any. 👎🏾👎🏾

Well I was successful at getting into the app unlike others, but then when I place an order, there are only certain options available. Exp-I want a twist cone and all they offer is vanilla and no where to add in comments to customize. The girl working told me that most people call in to customize their order. So what's the point of the app?!?! We have been going in to order because the drive thru line is so long and now they close the dining room at 5pm. Thought the app would be easier. 😔

One of the most finicky apps I've ever used. For some deals, it won't let you checkout out, even if the required item is already in the order. However, if you use a redemption code, that works for some reason. One store we placed an order with didn't have the ingredients available in the app. There's no way to order a custom blizzard in the app. It's kind of a pain to use

Would be great if mobile orders worked. So far 100% failure rate when I place an order using the app, and I arrive to the DQ down the road for pick up and they look at me in confusion. I put in the store, pick up inside, place my order, check out, and then tells me to press a button to start making food when I get there so it's fresh. I do everything, I press the button when I get into the parking lot and then get in line inside, only for my order not to have gone through. At least five minutes passed between entering the lot and getting to the register. Supposedly the system works as they had several mobile orders queued up, but mine hasn't functioned since the first day I started using the app. Haven't tried the mobile order for another store as the next closest one is a half hour away.

It's easy to earn points but impossible to redeem them. No matter what you add to the order, it says "your selected reward is not valid for this order." We had $27 of food and ice cream. And big surprise, there is nothing anywhere to tell you what you must order to be eligible to redeem points. I assume that the location I selected doesn't participate in rewards. It kept asking for payment after entering payment. I was so annoyed I cancelled the order and went elsewhere.

The app is awkward to use, unusually clunky for a fast food app. When you downloaded there's no deal to start with, so I would have done just as well to walk in the building in order, especially since I ordered curbside and still had to go in and pick up. On top of that, three of the blizzards I ordered came out normal size, and one came out a solid inch smaller, so I might have gotten the medium size for the large price. An unimpressive experience all the way.

the meal deal is definitely worth the price! Where else can you get a burger 🍔 ( or chicken strips) 🍟 fries, soda, AND a sundae for dessert 🍨 for only $7.00? I always order this from here, and I am never dissatisfied. I recommend this meal deal to everyone I talk to about fast food orders. This was my first time doing a mobile order for pickup, and it is way too easy. Always good service at this location (Scenic hwy in Pensacola) so I can easily say, this is a great place to go to eat!

Mostly disappointing. I installed the app & logged in with Facebook to avoid having to fill in a bunch of details. The app still required some info, including mandatory "pick a favorite location". The only thing you need to worry about is what location in ordering from. I tried to order via the app, it says the location I picked is closed when I'm in the parking lot. I give up and order at the drive-thru, pay & ask if I can scan the reward code. No, you needed to do that first. Uninstalled.

The store locator does not work. Tried multiple times to even find any store and using different locations. Could not get the app to locate a single store. Yes, I had my GPS turned on. I even turned it off and on. It even found where I was located. But could not find any store. I even redownloaded the app several times as well, still the same result. Hopefully it works eventually.

This app is 2-stars only because it's functional. I can put in an order and eventually receive it. However, there is no update to the status of your order after submitting, only an "estimated time." I have consistently waited 15+ minutes for this time, and then arrived to have no food started at any location I've ever been. On top of that, the deals are pathetic and restrictive, often unusable if you change so much as a side or add a drink. Worst mobile food app I've used yet.

I have been waiting for this app for a long time. Loved it the one thing I will say is that they need to try to replicate the menus as much as possible so it's consistent in the app, instore, and on the kiosk outside. This is one of the things I hope they do because their competition doesn't. But ordering was really easy, liked that you see the available coupons right at the time that your ordering so you know what deals are available. Awesome job! Best ice cream in town hands down.

not only is this app confusing, and ugly, when. they are sold out of an item is tells you to remove the items that are not available, but fails to tell you what is not available. now let's talk about the add and remove customize item. want to take off onions? you will be very confused and gave no idea if it worked. even the summary is incredibly confusing. about as far from useful as you can get. one thing to say for McDonald's, they nailed it, DQ clearly is going for the opposite. poor work.

The app would not send me a password reset email, even though I definitely have an account, so I can't get back into my account. Hopefully this gets fixed because the guest account is not great either. If you decide to make a change to the pickup type (inside or drive through), everything you've entered is cleared from the form (contact info and payment), so you have to re-enter everything.

I've used this app for over a year now, and it's.. decent. The UI is responsive and easy to use, but that's its biggest upside I'm afraid. The prices of DQ's food keep going up, with no change in the food's quality. The rewards system looks like it updated recently, and good lord, it'll take many months for me to earn enough points for anything worthwhile. It's kinda absurd. I only go to DQ occasionally, but that may turn to rarely. It's just so unjustifyably pricey compared to other fast food.

Don't get me wrong DQ is delicious and the in-app deals are great, but the app takes forever to boot up and it lists items that some locations don't have. It also doesn't have all of the soft drink options - it only shows 4 (coke, diet, sprite, and one other I don't remember) sweet/unsweetened tea aren't on the app anywhere and must be requested in person. Also, the dilly bar reward is more points when redeemed in bulk (200 for 1 vs 1250 for 6)

Deals NEVER work! I have been using this app for years. The points situation with the app is pretty reliable. Though if you eat there twice in one day you can't scan your receipts. But the deals never work. They will show in the app but when you try and use them they always give you a reason they can't be used. Also, the deals can not be used in the store so that the people at the register can help you with them either.

I only have the app so I can see the cost of items before I go to the restaurant. My location doesn't have mobile ordering available however so I keep getting asked if I am ordering from the right spot due to distance from other locations. That is annoying. Otherwise I like being able to plan my order ahead of time. It helps save time for me, the staff, and other customers.
