App does not load correctly. Unable to open or enter my account. Upon requesting a refund I received an automated email stating that their parent company, based in the UK, does NOT honor cancellation requests of subscription purchases, regardless of the circumstances. I am now $149.00 poorer due to an upgrade that I did not want. I wish I could change this to a zero star rating. I have tried to use the link given several times and the linked form doesn't work. The submit button is disabled.
Reviews for Dancebit: Weight Loss Dance
← Back to Dancebit: Weight Loss DanceIt's very misleading. Tried multiple times to cancel and was not able to cancel until reaching out to support and was told an alternative method. Was charged a full extra month for over $40 and refused to refund per terms even though the cancelation procedures are not as they described. I recommend Do not waste your money on this app! *edit to add - I followed the cancelation guide multiple times to check if I would be billed. Nothing was there, so I took that as I would not be billed.
This is ridiculous. I cast my phone to the telly but the moment the workout video starts it stops casting and the video player's casting option says tgere are no devices visible. I am furious, I can't do the workouts from the phone only, the screen is just too small for my bad vision. It's very annoying and unprofessional from a fitness app. It's a waste of money this way. Editing for reply: I don't want to buy any extra devices, a chromecast especially when it has been discontinued by Google.
Dancebit company are crooks. After signing up for 3 month subscription, it then ask u to sign up for a 12 month subscription. With no way to move on to the next step to set up account, it just says submit to get to the next page. It doesn't ask if you are sure, it doesn't say you will b charged. I thought I was just moving on to the next page. Poor set up instructions (which I believe to b on purpose). Poor customer service, I tried to cancel immediately, they refuse after charging me 117.
I enjoy the quick dances that fit into my busy day. The app itself leaves a lot to be desired. It took my weight in lbs and let me put in my goal weight. Then after my first workout it prompted me to link my account to not lose data. As soon as it connected to my Google, the measurement went to Km with no way to turn it back to lbs also changed my goal with no way to edit anything but current weight. It is telling me today is day 1, but its been 24 hrs since I finished day1, which is defeating.
I love the dances and the instructors are great. The 28 day challenge is not great. It had me doing some beginner/intro classes after I had gone through a more difficult one. That algothrim needs help. It doesn't tell you how many minutes you've worked out in a day. Once you meet your goal that's it. The classes/programs are not well organized and it can be hard to tell if I want to do a dance based on the description. Content is great but the app needs help
They have tried to charge me $69.99, immediately $48.99 right after when the first payment didn't go through, and then again for $17.50 immediately after that. Four times in less than three weeks. There is nowhere on the app to cancel an account, so I had to reach out to customer service and just hope it finally gets canceled. I used it for one day and it was most definitely not worth $10, let alone $70! I can find hundreds of better dance programs on YouTube for free.
I feel like there was an ad for anyone to submit dance workout clips & some were chosen without anyone actually watching. The 3 aerobics workouts are the worst. She just moves randomly to the beat of each song. I can do that without paying. No pattern, explanation. But what i find most frustrating is when you cast it to your tv. You cant start casting until the after the workout starts then it stops casting at end of workout. And the time/moves box doesnt cast.
Screencasting the Dancebit app is more difficult than I would prefer. It's working better since the last Android update, but anytime my phone screen rotates while running the Dancebit app, my TV disconnects. Also, as soon as a workout ends, my TV disconnects. My TV should not disconnect at anytime. I should be in complete control. I'm not quite sure what is going on. I will keep testing it. I would appreciate your attention on this matter.
First of all, content is not bad. But i would expect more videos. For a subscription price like that, you would want people to stay. But without more stuff and newer or more advanced content, it's easy to get bored out and will not be able to stick for the weight lost goal. Disclaimer: i have some workout background, never lost weight enough to be where I would want, so the beginner stuff in this app? Yes, they sure are doable and break a sweat.
Don't waste your money on this app! Very user unfriendly. Most of the time, it is impossible to sign in to the existing account or do mirror TV options, and to cancel it, you have to really run through the hoops. Dancing itself was also so-so. Some of the trainers were nice with clear explanations, and others were rushing and impossible to follow. I just hope they won't automatically charge me for another month.
This app is truly misleading when it comes to membership. if you sign up for it, they will take it upon there self to charge your card for three months. I signed up for the membership in January, never used the app before. So I was checking my bank account, and saw they took a three months payment out of my account. I tried to get the three months back that they charged me, and refused to give me the full amount back. They only refunded me for one month.
I was charged $52 with no way to refund or guarantee. I didn't select hip hop and I said I was a beginner and today was my second day of Hip Hop and it was advanced. I was supposed to be doing a lot of jumping but didn't. LOL It feels like they've switched me with a 20-year-old dancer. I emailed them and hopefully they will fix it. I tried to fix it in my profile but there isn't any way that I could find to look up my preferences or change them. I really like the concept of dancing to get fit.
I tried out the trial and thought it was canceled. All of a sudden I'm being charged two months later for an app I opened once or twice. The app support states that if you started on the website that it will not show up under Play store subscriptions. The problem with that is that once you download the app it takes you to a website so it seems like it is intentionally hiding it. The app isn't that great so most people wouldn't reopen it, they would just go to the play store and cancel.
I love the workouts but the app sucks! when my subscription renewed, for some reason the app no longer recognizes my account. so I have to uninstall and lose all of my progress! that's the whole point of using an app. if I have to do this, I can search for free dance workouts on YouTube. very very frustrating. edit: even after your contact with me, I have lost all of my progress, all of my favorite workout videos. I'm cancelling my membership and looking for an app with a better web design
I've only been doing it for a cpl of days. but absolutely love it! actually just did another one that wasn't even today's. (an extra one). love that they are tailored to my specific needs. And that it don't have to be a 30min workout that I would probably wind up avoiding. these are quick enough that even if I dint feel well, I know I can hold up to the 10 mins. ❤️
I never ment to subscribe, these prices they try to charge are outrageous! I haven't been able to figure out how to cancel, I have never used the product one time! .. I've never even actually created an account at all except the facebook form. Yet they are trying to charge me hundreds of dollars! People be careful! wish I could add attachments to this I've blocked them from charging yet it still shows them trying daily!
This is an effective app for someone who is fully able bodied. But if you have any injury or disability involving, hips, back or legs, it's not very adaptive. Basically you can either do the exercises or you can't. It's not really dancing in my opinion it's more just doing multiple exercises to music. My granddaughter (15) tried it with me a few times and said "it was way to random, and kind of confusing"....I did like most of the dance clips in my challenge, whether I could do them or not.
This is the first day I've used Dancebit. I was able to cast to the TV so it was much easier to see the workout. I never exercise, so it's time to start moving! I have joint issues in hips, shoulders, and feet. The short workouts were great for easing into this. It does get a bit fast for me, I am as uncoordinated as you can be, but I did them completely at my pace. I do want to find beginning workouts here that are a tiny bit slower for first timers who never exercised before.
I got a 3-month membership, and I filled out the questionnaire to get personalized workouts. I'm a total beginner, and I picked the types of dance I liked. The Day 1 challenge was a style I hated and didn't pick. You can't even change the videos. Day 2 was another style I didn't like, and it was intermediate! I contacted customer service to cancel, but they won't give me a refund. Seriously, don't bother. YouTube has FREE dance workout videos and so does TikTok.
