I really like this app. I can quickly look up medications before giving them when I am unfamiliar with their side effects and/or administration guidelines.
Reviews for Davis's Drug Guide for Nurses
← Back to Davis's Drug Guide for NursesI truly love using this app to look up information on medications to help me in my nursing/ pharmacology classes, but this doesn't get all 5 stars because there's been a few meds that don't show up in this app.
very concenient to have the information on my phone at my fingertips. I always find what I'm looking for. Very helpful with students when teaching clinical.
As a nursing student, this app is EXCEPTIONALLY helpful. The organization is great and I'm confident knowing that the app content will update when new editions are released. Very user friendly!
I love this app so far. Accurate and relevant information, easy and comfortable to use. Got really excited to see that there's normal values for common blood tests but no values there. It could be really helpful.
I use this app almost every day. Mostly to check compatibilities. It's great because it doesn't need reception so I can use it on the helicopter or my dungeon of an ER
Great app for studying and referencing medications. Contains valuable information for anyone working in the Nursing or Paramedicine fields. This app has helped me many times over during my paramedic training.
I can't operate the app, anytime l try going into it, it tries giving me subscription issues of which am not interested, it's a nice drug app that has come to help the health workers but it's operation is the problem here because of the subscription issues but it isn't like that at first, struggling always and still struggling, I've struggled in downloading it and still struggling in operating it, please if there is an easy way of assessing the application please let me know because l need it
Love this drug guide. No time consuming searching through an outdated book. This app auto updates with the latest info and newest meds on the market. I use this at work every day. Information right at your fingertips when you're with a patient. Can't beat that.
This app is EVERYTHING! I paid for the subscription and it's worth every penny! It's great to able to pull up meds in real time while at work, and it even suggests possible nursing diagnoses to use on your care plans!
They should send you an email notice before automatically resubscribing people. I didn't receive an email telling me that my subscription was due to be renewed; had I received such an email I would have canceled in time since I no longer need this app.
i love davis, but i wish it broke things down into quicker to read charts for things like iv push rates and dilutents. it would make it faster when looking it up in clinical and when i have to be on my instructors timeline time is essential. also, being in nursing school i wish it were a little cheaper, but hey its my life saver.
Great app for nurses. Gathers a lot of important drug information and neatly organizes it so it is quickly accessible to read on the fly when you want on your smartphone (can also access data offline... which was a initial concern of mine). Especially Love how they implemented Fluid and Electrolyte considerations and other important information that is pertinent and crucial for a good nurse to know for the drug. Thank you guys... will stick with using this app if it keeps getting relevant updates and adds more relevant nursing information throughout the years to come. Thumbs up.
This is an amazingly useful app, but I cannot forgive the inability to use this app on both Android and IOS simultaneously for the price. I purchased a year's subscription already for an IOS device, but cannot share the subscription between my Android phone and iPad, which overly complicates my life as a nursing student.
My issue is with customer service, I had a issue with my account being drafted with no prior notice and not being able to connect to another device, I never heard back from customer service. I couldn't find how to change my credit card information again no help from customer service. The app itself is fine and I use it as a nurse but I don't recommend the customer service no service, no reply they just draft your account. I'm not sure if I will restore my service because of the poor service.
I'm a RN, have had the mobile guide for almost 2 yrs. It's super helpful, I truly love it! I'm giving it 3 stars because I've realized that new drugs are not added fast enough... Many times I look for newer drugs, and find nothing. I wish the guide was updated more often, perhaps as drugs are approved by the FDA. I would also appreciate if the developers would add an IV compatibility section!!! Overall it is a great app!
Excellent resource! I love the extra features such as the BMI calculator, temperature conversion, drop factor conversions, etc., basically features for reference in areas that are easy to forget when you don't use them often. Great source for reference all-around!
This book is incredibly useful. I am a hospice nurse, not being based in one place, I don't have ready access to hardcopy resources. I simply cannot carry the volume of reference material I use. Having an app that meet the need for a resource about medicines, especially one that is geared to nurses, is invaluable.
I subscribed the app in thr past 3 years. It was good. The only thing I am not happy is that there is no pronunciations for drugs. I saw the ad with pronunciations. But it disappeared when I subscribed it. I am looking forward the feedback, otherwise I may request refund. Thanks!
I've loved using this app for nursing school. It was so informative and easy to use. I loved that I can just pull out my phone and type in the drug, rather than flip through that giant book. The big disappointment I have is that I couldn't transfer the subscription when you switch from iOS to Google, even though it's the same developer. I still have like 5 months left, and a $40 subscription is a lot for a student. I really hope the developer can address this issue.
