Description
Been using deVStudio for a couple months now. It’s basically a way to run the full-featured Visual Studio Code app right on your device. Pretty solid if you’re a developer who needs a mobile coding setup.
Here’s what you can do – you can code in pretty much any language, there’s support for debugging, syntax highlighting, and all the other stuff you’d expect from a pro-level code editor. It’s got a terminal built-in too, so you can install packages and run commands right from the app. Took me a while to figure out how to set everything up, but once I did it’s been really useful.
Look, if you’re a developer who needs to code on the go, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the initial setup is a bit of a pain and the app can feel a little bare-bones at times. But overall it does the job and is worth checking out.
Editor Opinion
So here's my take on deVStudio. I've tested a bunch of mobile coding apps and this one's pretty solid. The ability to run full-blown Visual Studio Code right on your phone or tablet is super handy. The core features work well and it's great for quick fixes or light development work. But it's not gonna fully replace a laptop for serious coding - the small screen and fiddly touch controls can get old after a while. Still, if you need a way to code on the go, deVStudio is a pretty good option.
