Usually doesn't play any music. This app used to be great. I recently signed up for premium again and almost all the channels won't play and the app crashes a lot. I Uninstaller reinstalled and nothing. Tried on wifi and on data, nothing. EDIT : So, I haven't been having any issues with the app lately. Maybe they were working on the servers or something but it works great now. Definitely worth the money for premium
Reviews for DI.FM: Electronic Music Radio
I love DI. I listen almost exclusively to electronic music and they've got just about everything I could want. I docked a star because I wish there were better support for android auto, and the skip track button anywhere but in app changes station rather than skipping the current song. It makes more sense to me for changing again to be a different control or just going back to the station list.
I'm now experiencing an error where I'm not getting audio for the app? It's one of my favorite music streaming services so I'm going to keep it downloaded. Hopefully y'all can fix it soon. Edit - Uninstalling and reinstalling did the trick, but only for a couple of days. I tried clearing the cache, but reinstalling seems to be the only fix. Now it doesn't seem to be working at all. Great!
I seem to be having a love/hate relationship with DI.FM.. I love the music and the app, but I hate the fact that so very often, on certain streams, when a song finishes, it simply rewinds 60-90 seconds* back and plays that last bit again. Almost as if it's filling up time that would otherwise be used for ads before a new song will be played... Not sure why that happened but it's pretty annoying. _____Edit: it was seconds, not 60-90 minutes, my bad. Anyways, the issue seems to be mostly happening on the Chill&Tropical House channel. I've noticed a few times on Progressive as well, but not as often as the Chill & Tropical House one.
I have been listening to DI.fm since 2001 back when I was in 10th grade and the music would open up in Winamp. Knowing that they have expanded this much to include all sorts of subgenres that I didn't even know electronic music had is amazing to discover. Now, I use this app for running. Wish I had the funds to subscribe and get rid of ads, but they're not all that bad either. Keep up the 20+ years of beats pumping, guys!
Simple to use, but prone to glitches that cause the app to either freeze or crash. Provides me the chance to switch songs at will, but sometimes it doesnt save the song if one paused the station for too long. If enough time has passed then the song will be replaced by another when the user returns to the app after it crashes. Another issue is the dates of when each song was played in the station. It's just now totally inaccurate and should be fixed.
Pretty awesome. I live in the US qne unfortunately the trance scene isn't very fruitful here. This app allows me to explore the music unlike I'd be able to here. The only reason it has 3 stars is because, when full sets are played, you're not able to see at least a set list of tracks. That would be amazing if there were set lists and time stamps of when the song played.
If you like electronic music, this app has it all. I do wish it would let you look up individual songs and artists. I also wish it would rotate between genres. It's old fashioned streaming internet radio. If you leave it alone, you might be ready for a change after a few minutes. But the sheer quantity and variety on display makes those minor quibbles irrelevant to my rating.
I use the di.fm app daily, and have been a premium subscriber for something like 8 years. The most recent update has made the app laggy and broken some functions - it now takes a while to recognize that I have a paid subscription, the shows tab takes forever to load and sometimes says there are no shows scheduled that day, and the share button is missing (I use it to bookmark songs I want to check out later). It's too bad, because it worked really consistently for years.
I must say. Its still a very Excellent Music App! And i am extremely happy with the app being compatible with Android Auto. I can not do without Di.fm on Trance Thursdays on the Trance channel. (09/20/2018)Excellent music app! 2 things I do not like. 1 when you're listening to One song you switch stations then you go right back to finish listening to the song and it a different song. 2 I wish it was compatible with Android Auto like some of the other music apps.
