Reviews for Diabetes:M - Blood Sugar Diary

It's been 4 years since zi was last on here. I sent for an email to change my password. I entered my new password in 5 times and slowly and correctly; Upper/lower case, numbers & special characters as instructed. Every time it said both passwords do not match. There's no way this author allows you to see what you're writing but I did it correctly! I'm through with waisting anymore time with this app.

Excelent app, clear and easy to use. Love the ability to back up data to cloud services and you can always keep your results no matter if you switch device. Lots of choices as to what to save in each entry, glucose level, date, time, meal(dinner, lunch, etc) weight, just perfect.

Was useful for a while. I frequently was using the bolus advisor function, especially over the last year. However, it appears the function is no longer present on the app. Effectively making this not much more useful than the dozen other types of glucose trackers I can download. Not sure if this is another feature that has been absorbed behind the premium paywall or was removed for another reason. But, not likely to continue using the app regardless the reason.

I have been a type 1 diabetic for the past 30 years & I have never had good control. My A1C always ran between 8 and 11.5. 8 is a good A1C for me. Now it's 8.4. I found this app & thought for sure it would not work for me, but I was wrong. I can document pretty much every aspect of my health. It's simple, easy to use. organizes, & stores all info. A report can be sent to a doctor. it's customized to the info I choose to record. Takes no time at all to enter the info & you're done! Love it!!!

Without the ability to read a 14-Day Freestyle sensor, this app has dropped to nearly useless since Freestyle no longer makes the 10-Day. This is great for tracking if you manually enter everything. Don't rely on the calculator, though. Somehow my 28g of chips had over 50g of carbs. This has been a repeated problem with this app, and it's a dangerous one.

The app has everything you need for tracking your glucose, food intake, blood pressure etc.. I have been using it for several months and find it quite thorough and easy to use. They respond quickly and thoroughly to emails. Very impressive communication I was rather pleased. If I could have one thing added to the the app it would be to add a slot for tracking sodium intake. I realize that is not diabetes related but would still be helpful to many of us.

Use to be an excellent app for diabetics. Since the recent change to full page adds the app locks up at least once a day. I have used this app for years. I depend on it to track the decay of my fast insulin and the ability to accurately stack injections if needed. I have started looking for another app that tracks my insulin injections.

The only app that gives you many stats & charts to see your glucose in different ways. Charts for before/after meals, range and variability across each hour in the day, carbs and insulin intake, across a 7, 14, 30, 60, or 90 day period. We've been using this for 5 yrs, and it's the only tool we use to track all of our methods of monitoring (libre, dex, finger stick) - manual, not integration. One improvement: Please hire a UI/UX expert. It's pretty clear this is developed by techies.

I've been using this app for over a year now. Yes, it sometimes has issues; however, I still think it's the best choice on the market. There's still a lot of room for improvement though. In today's connected age, I would like to see it communicating better with other apps. I really like the data display on the Wear OS watches. However, not simultaneously displaying my Dexcom data really is a failure. It would also be nice if it pulled in exercise data from Google fit as well.

I feel like this app doesn't talk down to me, it really is about gathering and evaluating information. It's the most helpful diabetes app I've found out there. The one thing that would be helpful would be to somehow factor in excersize, as well as factors like menstration or stress. But there is room to take notes which is great for looking for patterns and such

Finally a diabetes app that let's me search for foods and add them right within the app AND keeps a running total of carbs and calories for the day! Now I don't have to pay Fitness Pal $11 a month just to track carbs and calories. It keeps a history of food intake and gives a daily estimate of A1C which I've found to be pretty accurate even if I don't record everything. This app dles it all and keeps improving.

My husband and daughter have been using this app for years and were quite happy with it. Unfortunately as of yesterday the bolus advisor is no longer on the app. Literally disappeared and was replaced with the food icon. You now have to do all the calculations yourself and enter into the log if you wish to track. I checked all settings and couldn't find anything to turn the advisor back on. Hopefully this is a glitch they will correct. Until then we will be looking for another app.

The app works great, but they have decided to open their greedy genes and are forgetting those of us who have supported them with the no add option which was the only one until now which is a monthly charge instead of one time, and they removed the wonderful food data base, so we have to add food ourselves instead of picking it out of the very large database.

UPDATE FOR THE MOST RECENT VERSION: My biggest wish for the app these days is better integration with things like Fitbit and a way to track non-diabetes related medication. Overall, I like this app, but I wish that there was better documentation, that the data entry was easier, and that it had a more robust method for tracking exercise as it relates to blood sugar. That said, it's still probably the best app out there for the purpose.

Seemed like it would be a cool app, but the opening disclosures about "device identifiers" turned me off. Appreciate the honesty for once from an app, but also need more information on exactly what these identifiers are before handing over access to my phone. I just want an app to graph my blood sugars, but I do understand they have to make money for it to be a free app.

Still learning how to use it. I am having challenges using the calculator for entering food. I can only seem to pull back up one entry for repeated use; can't seem to enter more than one food item thru the calculator. Doing lots of cut and paste. BUT it is great for recording blood glucose and insulin. I appreciate the graphs, I can easily see how I'm doing over time. I'm certain I'll get the rest figured out once I read the website. Thanks for your hard work on this I'll buy the ad f

The bolus advisor is disabled in the USA. When will it be enabled again? I can't think of any features not already included. The bolus advisor was invaluable in helping me resolve highs and lows. A1c dropped from 7.0 to 6.0 in 2 months. I created a Notes category and use the filter to see only my Notes. I upgraded to Premium, but the free version includes plenty of bells & whistles. I highly recommend this app! Don't know how I managed without it!

Been using Diabetes:M for about 3 years and it is excellent. It allows me to keep a record of which finger I used for glucose testing, so that I can properly alternate fingers. I can also keep track of blood pressure and so many other health indicators. Simple navigation and customization. Keeps a clear and concise log. Can even log meds, but I had to search a little to find where to input meds (under settings); that was my only challenge, so it still deserves 5 stars.

What a great app! I was using another one before but had to change after my insurance company no longer covered the brand it used. This one doesn't connect to my One Touch unit but takes manually entered data.. It gives areas for so many types of information, including lab work, weight, blood pressure, meds, exercise...well the list goes on and on. It hasn't crashed or dropped any data at all and is extremely easy to use. I highly recommend this app.

I like that there's an option to set automatic reminders to eat or to test, and also when you enter a meal you can set a reminder to test a few hours from then. The food databases don't seem more cumbersome than any other app's, but it's still time consuming for me so I just record my foods in a note in the log book. It has more good features than I'm using (charts/graphs & analysis tools too) & I like being able to have my glucose data & meal/exercise data all in one app.
