Reviews for DICE: Live Shows

Very annoying that you must add a phone number for someone you're transferring a ticket to, to your phone's contacts... no way to simply search by name or email for the person you're transferring to. I'm trying to trade someone a ticket to one show for a ticket to another show and it has been needlessly complicated to the point where I'm providing app technical support. Folks are generally more comfortable trading email addresses/usernames vs. phone numbers.

Failed attempt at curbing scalpers. App. has tons of features no one needs. They force you to buy tickets through this. You can't re-sell ticket, unless show is sold out and there is a waiting list open. Waiting list doesn't work. Basically it's a way to shut out anyone with a ticket, so they can sell theirs first. They won't return your money, sighting that rule of waiting list. Another self centered scam to take the power from you and to steal your money.

The app is ok, one major issue I see though is that using the desktop version is actually 100 times better. The app version of dice doesn't display all available events correctly. The only reason I have the app right now is just because it's tied to the actual "ticket". Otherwise I'd only use the desktop version when looking for events since the app is missing a huge chunk of them *ALSO an annoying thing about the desktop version, it doesn't display the events you've "liked/saved" why???

Trying to transfer tickets to friends was an aggravating ordeal that I was never able to successfully get to work. My friend has the Dice app, so it should have been a simple task. However, rather than just having you enter the cell number or email address of the person that you're sending the tickets to, the Dice app insists on going thru your Contacts. The Dice app, however, was constantly crashing with "Something went wrong" error or contact is in incorrect format error.

This app is probably great if you go to a lot of DICE shows, but it's awful to be forced to download and register on an app if you're just going to use it once. Download an app? Create an account? Give my location? 2fac? Activate my ticket? I would much, much rather have the option to bypass the app and simply have the ticket sent to my email.

I guess you can't scalp on an app if the app isn't usable lol. I keep trying to use a phone contact, like the app requires, but I keep getting a formatting error... because apparently the code can't interpret the data it's asking for. They're so worried about preventing scalping that any semblance of usability just went out the window. Next event I see selling on this app ima just chance it at the door. Use once and delete.

It often works fine but some features don't make sense. The time allowed to purchase a ticket from the wait-list is ridiculous. I was given 10 minutes between an email to when the tickets would be released for a show that I had been in the waiting list for months, which I wasnt free for in the middle of the work. Also if I remember correctly, tickets for free shows can't be returned, which doesn't make much sense

Most venues will still let you pay at the door in cash... even if they don't advertise it. I purchased tickets on my laptop that don't show in the app. Now I have to spend my afternoon dealing with this garbage for a $25 ticket. Dice sent me an automated email that says "no refunds" so I'll call my credit card company to do a chargeback. I'm glad credit cards are the last line of defense.

The Waitlist feature is not helpful when there are 3 different ticket options (GA/VIP/Platinum) and all you want is to at least get a ticket. But you have no clue how long the line is and you lose your place in line if you try waiting in line for another ticket type. This is really frustrating, especially when you're in the Platinum line and then the tickets become "Off List" (can't be sold to line anymore), yet I'm still in line for them somehow and never notified. So I moved to another line..

Update: Told me they don't have my account info to verify tickets after I deleted my account when I never heard anything back after contacting them several times. Do yourself a favor and never buy anything from this app. Also check your card for fraudulent charges!! Total scams with this app. They sold me a ticket after an event had ended. Tried to contact support and they said under no circumstances would they issue a refund.

I initially couldn't set it up because the app wouldn't recognize the verification code or the screen for the verification code kept disappearing. I tried uninstalling & reinstalling but the same thing kept happening. Plus, I had to wait a whole minute in between code requests & it didn't send the code for every request. The venue said it would have a list, so I purchased a ticket, reinstalled the app, and everything worked fine. Two days later, I received a generic Support email.

Other than payments, the app is 5 stars. I love Dice and everything they stand for. Unfortunately though, I can't buy tickets! Just says payment declined. I had to use the mobile site then access tickets in the app (that part works great). I tried several credit cards, clearly something is broken with the app. Website worked fine. Please fix!

Bad, fraudulent business practices! I reached out to them about switching from the night show to the day show. They quickly stated they would issue a refund for the night show if I purchased the day show tickets within 24 hours and let them know. So I did that. Then they quickly replied that they would not issue the refund to me and the money would have to go to the original purchaser who resold the tickets to me. I have followed up many times over the course of several days, but they stopped responding to my messages. There is no option to call. The option to transfer tickets to a friend does not seem to work on the app. Not to mention, I have not been able to sell the tickets.

One of, if not the worst, ticketing app I've dealt with. You have to give them access to your contacts to add friends, you have to add friends to share tickets, and they better have the right format in your contacts otherwise you can't add them. It wants permissions to far too many aspects of your phone, which makes it seem very shady. We only used it because we had to. I'm deleting it now.

GARBAGE. way too much information to share about yourself from the get go. I even connected my Spotify. I kept trying to choose general location instead of precise and it still got mad at me saying it couldn't use location. after all that it told there were no concerts in Tokyo... TOKYO... I could go on any search engine and find 10+ concerts happening in Tokyo at whatever time you, dear reader, are reading this. UTTER TRASH.

Only bought venue tickets not streams. Simplicity ✔️, no extra fees. Problem logging in once to check on tkt & system took me in circles, but the team responded. Update: 2 from 4☆, there is now NO customer support visible. The ts & cs for a sold out gig were suddenly changed; I was adding tkt to the wait list to sell WITHIN TIME STATED but then not allowed to, yet you could add yourself to it to buy still! People can't buy if people can't sell! New Dice response doesn't address the actual issue.

(2/22/2025) Won't allow me to close the app. Forced stop didn't work. Had to uninstall app to close it. (1/26/2024) Won't let you transfer tickets to anyone with a United States phone number. The only friends that appear are people who have phone numbers outside the US. Looks like people have reported the issue since at least 2021. However, they did respond quickly (within 2 hours) and assisted me with transferring the tickets.

US resident buying and returning tickets in US 5/5. Seamless. Buying tickets for a gig in the UK 1/5. App wouldn't process the purchase and didn't give an error message, just frozen screen. I eventually figured out the problem, then payment was declined because Dice couldn't verify it and I had to call my bank to authorize. I did finally manage to book a ticket, but only after the ticket type I originally wanted was sold out.

I hate this app. I get trying to stop scalpers and re-sellers but if you have a ticket for an event that you can no longer use, it is a nightmare to actually get that ticket to someone who can use it, even for below face value, especially if that event has the Wait List thing turned off. Just pure nonsense that forces you to go outside of the Dice app to sell it. Selling a ticket you can no longer use shouldn't be this difficult.

A struggle. Could not get the log in screen to appear. After restarting my phone, clearing the cache and force stopping the app, and reinstalling, I figured out it was because of my accessibility settings that turn off a lot of animations. When the login page appeared, it kept crashing every time I added the code. I finally logged in after using my computer to view the code, so I didn't have to leave the app.
