This app is terrible. Average prices and now even when using the default option for a trip, the drivers must consider if they liked the "offer" as if I had selected the price, so in short you are not warrantied a ride anymore.

Uber is the best Didi is extremely bad.
THIS COMPANY SUCKS First driver didn't show up but I was charged a cancellation fee. Second driver got lost, ended up on a tollway in the wrong direction and I was charged an extra $20 for the toll. "Customer service" LOL, via their useless app that thanks you for raising the issue, then signs you out with no further comms about your issues!! No phone number to call for a follow up. Deleted the app. Very shady company.
Refund with unfavorable conditions; the driver neglected to complete the trip and charged an excessive amount to my card. Customer support stated that they would provide me with several coupons for the amount to be refunded, but the coupons are only valid for 30 days. With the amount overcharged, 30 days is not sufficient. Please help me by extending the time. The driver left the trip open for 10 hours and continued to make trips around the city.
miserable experience the application told me the trip is for specific price and i ordered and accepted on that price offered however when i rode the car it have got changed to be more 30 LE without informing me or even the driver and i was forced to pay extra than expected , verrrrryyyy bad application they have just shown me how uber and indriver are better 1000 times at least owe what they show as a price of the order. I will neverrrrrr use it again
In my area, sometimes it takes too long to find a driver. I do like that the prices are cheaper than Uber, but when there aren't enough drivers, it doesn't matter how affordable it is. Otherwise, most of the drivers I've met drive with both Didi and Uber, so there's otherwise not much difference in service that I can tell.
Used to be a big advocate of Didi, they treated me well, had cheaper prices, and were timely. That's changed. There's no longer any way at all for the customer to reach the company and talk through any problems..and there are constant problems. I've had prices double mid ride without any way of disputing it. I've had drivers pick up someone else right in front of me and then charge me for the ride. tried to find a way to get my money back for those but they've labeled me as a problem. Just uber.
Payment system needs a lot of work. My credit cards often won't go through. Multiple banks says it's Didi. Deleting/adding cards again doesn't help. Reaching customer service is impossible. They need shared family billing like Uber. Favorite Places don't work if you block location permissions. Selecting another pickup location outside of where you are is a big hassle too. The rates are cheaper, otherwise I wouldn't put up with all the shortcomings. Why don't you accept Discover???
Tried to log in again after a while, same issue, still 4 years in? DiDi is the worst! What a joke that DiDi will never fix this. Drivers either stay still or keep moving further and further away from you, so the number of times I've had to cancel is embarrassing. Is there some loop hole that financially benefits the driver if I cancel, even though they're clearly moving further away or not moving? In the end, you're typically forced to use another app to get home.
Never using it again, I was charged cash and the app is still requesting me to pay via card. Worst part? When I try to open a request the help centre won't let me, it automatically shows that "the issue doesn't apply to this trip" (it is my exact issue though??). Perhaps the driver was mistaken, so I wouldn't take it up with him, but I cannot give that grace to Didi since they won't even let me report this, I can't even talk to a rep at all. Absolutely abysmal costumer service.
Highly unreliable. After long delays drivers cancel rides. Or you cancel it because you can't wait any longer and since more than 5 minutes have passed of the estimated pick up time, you are forced to pay a fee. Drivers blame it on the App. They say that sometimes they have arrived but the app doesn't update drivers location and the aren't able to send messages 👎🏻
They have absolutely no customer support. You can't contact anyone ever for any reason, no phone number. No email, when you enter "live chat" you get a robot that ends the chat every single time, they have 0 live chat agents. If you report a issue with a driver or a ride, nothing happens and it's ignored because no support agents. Our driver left us on the side of the road and we missed an appointment due to it. Still charged for rhe ride and nothing we can do about it.
**Update, removing 5 star review as I can no longer use the app. I keep getting an error saying online payment unavailable. Reached out to support and they asked for a pic of the error and for me to try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. However, they closed my issue before I could even respond. I have tried to get additional support but cannot. Super disappointed. Great service and usually cheaper than the competition. A must have app while in Mexico.
This app changes the method of payment to cash intentionally / thieves. This app also delivers food. Yesterday I bought some food with my card and the app changed the method to cash (very convenient to hide from taxes from the IRS). I couldn't cancel the order and reach out to their support team for 3hrs, result: even when I had screenshots proving that my payment method was my card they didn't do anything. They charged my card and when the food arrived they asked me to pay again in cash.
The app needs improvement on food deliveries. It only has pre written complaints. My order was delivered with the soda in the same bag as the hot food, and one small package of ketchup for my fries. I couldn't enter any of this. You can't enter special instructions for the restaurant. I have a coupon from a prior issue, it can't be used, and the app never tells you before final check out. App needs a lot of improvements.
I was using the app with cash payment, something I found useful. It was great for the first two days until I started receiving accepts from drivers who were not making an attempt to get close to the pickup, waiting out the clock until I was unable to cancel the ride. Now whenever I want to post a ride, I'm asked to verify identity, even though, as I mentioned, I pay with cash. So now it's all but useless for me. I'll attempt to re establish the account and see if it works, otherwise 0/5
This app is always rejecting my debit card. It asks to enter the amount that is on hold on my card for verification and when I enter the exact amount that appears on my bank account it rejects it. My card had already been accepted before, which I also had struggled with, and all of a sudden it told me it needed verification again. You can't contact customer service through the app because it just sends you to articles and won't list any numbers to contact someone directly.
It is sad that this app tries to add cost every possible way. If you don't know exactly where you are going and request, then request again the price increases to the same location. They don't do this in Brazil. If you wait too long to confirm your start time, it adds cost to the ride. Puts too much pressure from money hungry app developers. So stupid. You should put the customer experience first, not trying to add money every possible way
Useless. Apparently no way to verify cards from when your account is from a foreign currency. Entered exact amount taken out of redeposited in my account still nothing. Good luck with rates, conversions, and rounded numbers. No currency or language options in help screens. Limited cash options. App also crashes and glitches while using. I wish the "grab" would take over in this part of the world like it has in Asia, because that app is actually functional.
Horrible and totally unreliable - drivers either cancel or don't show up but when they don't show I still pay a cancel fee like I wasn't there waiting. Prices jump all over the place too, literally from one minute to the next. Almost always have to pay in cash, even though credit card is shown as an option. If you don't have local cash, you're screwed. No more DiDi.
