Reviews for djay - DJ App & AI Mixer

This is better than I had expected. Easy abd fun to use. Sync is on another level. This is by far the best mobile dj app.

I love this app! ...except for one thing... My one true wish to make this app the best thing ever made would be to fix this: The way it stutters if you're not in the app or your phone locks. I find this ridiculously annoying. Even in general, I want to be able to use my phone while I'm mixing without it horrifically stuttering out. The fact that it has supposed "auto mixing" (useful for driving) but I have to keep the app open and visible is really awful.

There are two issues I have; 1st certain settings aren't saved after closing the app, I have to reset to my liking, 2nd when connected to my laptop if I put my hand over either wheel on the mix ultra, some kind of distortion occurs, syncing goes off a little, wave file on the screen glitches. other than that, I LOVE IT!

I'm honestly delighted by how far forward dJay for Android has come - the improvements have been long awaited and I was very much tempted to hit the subscription button. The only problem is that the only compatible hardware for Android is pretty much the "entry level" controllers from Reloop, Pioneer, etc. Waiting for something like the DJM-S11 to become compatible before I move over. Keep up the great work guys!

Blown Away (Not in a good way) I decided to make the switch from Apple to Samsung, and the difference in the app experience is wild. There isn't even a way to view upcoming songs on the Android app, no automix shuffle, and you can only add songs to the queue one by one. Please work on some upgrades for Android. It seems like it could potentially be more solid than what y'all have done for iOS if given the same attention.

When I play song in automix mood , same deck available for load the next track , Thats whay song is not mixed . need opsite deck to load next track.

best dj app. intuitive, creative, responsive and versatile. i pull off some pukka mixes with this on my phone and the subscription is transferable to all my devices iPad ect.

The app is amazing and easy to use but How do I download the offline version of djay because everytime I select a song it says file not recognized and it keeps on asking for subscription please provide a link to the djay offline version

I really loved the djayapp, it's amazing to use but recently I had paid for the subscription, the amount has been charged but I m yet not able to use the pro version of djay.

I'm extremely upset that I paid for djay2 and now they've basically done away with djay2 and if I want the same capabilities that I had using the already paid for djay2 , I would have to sign up for a monthly or years subscription. That's just greed. I'm not saying don't offer the subscription plan but don't make the ones who paid in full years ago. None of the other djay apps have done this. it's just not fair to the loyal customers who saw the value in your app and paid 4 full version

Easy to use updated 9/28/2025 Now experiencing stoppages during playback on my android phone when using music from different sources including music based on my device. It has been happening for a few months even after a few android updates. Works perfectly on my iPhone, ipad and windows pc. reduced rating to 4 stars.

While this is the best DJ app yet for mobile that I've used, what's the point if I can't even load songs from my library because it doesn't support the Opus codec? I use Opus for my audio files to save space on my phone while retaining high quality, and it's a shame that I couldn't even use them to DJ. Most apps should be supporting this by now, so please add support for the Opus codec!

Great when it works... I use this with a DDJ-200 on both my phone and tablet. Some days it's worked flawlessly and other times it crashes several times during my sessions. Definitely not good for production but when you're just hanging out with a friend having some drinks it's fine. Sometimes the controller just drops out, sometimes it crashes, it's very irritating at this point. I mainly like it when I want to be able to search up on SoundCloud without already having it in a playlist.

It's difficult to listen to one song at a time anymore. Sorting in the music playlists by BPM and Key would be an easy feature to have. It's necessary for mobile devices even more than mixing on a desktop. The portrait mode waveform view of the two tracks in the Serato style is also a great way to do it on a mobile device. If the app could automatically handle some of the frequency changes in the EQ when mixing between two songs that would make it a killer app. Subscriptions suck...

Man I won't use nothin else. Only this app. And I done tried em all! It let's you record listen offline. I only wish there was a way you could change the pitch without having to change the speed. And maybe some fresher sound effects but other then that it's super simple haven't had a problem finding a song yet. And it let's me add music from my library

Great DJ app, it would be 5 stars if the sound performance and stability were better. The app frequently crashes in use after 20-30 mins and music "skips" and jutters when using the autoplay feature with the app running in the background. This destroys your phones ability to multitask (check messages, look at a set list) when trying to music select for a small party or get together. I'm on a pixel 7 pro.

This app is very cool, but there's a couple flaws. That main one that's getting me, is that it keeps crashing when I try to record my mix. I get a good amount of time & then boom, wasted. I bought the subscription today just so I can record this mix, & have spent hours trying it again & again. If this isn't going to get fixed very soon, I'd like a refund.

It's an awesome app. I'd rate it 5 stars if you add more features on here like on other devices like isolation tools, extra deck tools, more music options. Options that are on tablets, IPhone, etc. I want a good Djing experience, with all the tools I'd need to make a good performance. I mean with the price to pay for the subscription, it would make up for actually buying real equipment. If you could please make that happen, I'll definitely consider rating 5 star for sure. Thank You.

Love it, just almost perfect. After a while when I tap on the search icon to type in a song I'm looking for, it doesn't prompt my keyboard to pop up so I can type in the song I want. So I end up having manually scroll all the down my entire song library alphabetically to mix in the song I want. I usually close out the app and reboot it so the search icon will prompt my keyboard to pop up again. If this bug could be fixed, that would be greatly appreciated since I bought the app already. Thanks!

If you're coming from an iPhone, don't bother. This version of djay is a husk of how it used to perform on the iPhone. Frequent crashes and failures to retrieve music from your library are pretty bad. You'll find that you don't have access to changing the key of any song on the screen where you change speed. And my final gripe is that as of July 1st, you will no longer have access to your Spotify account through the app.
