Description
Been using DMD2 for a couple months now. It’s basically a motorcycle-focused app with all kinds of handy features – offline maps, turn-by-turn navigation, trip computer, OBD2 integration, and more. Pretty solid app if you’re into adventure riding or just need a reliable companion for your bike.
Here’s what you can do: plan routes, search for places and POIs, record your rides with a GPX tracker, and even read roadbook PDFs right on your phone. There’s also a configurable dashboard with tons of widgets – you can customize it to show the info you need most while you’re riding. And the offline maps are a lifesaver when you’re out in the middle of nowhere with no cell signal.
Look, if you spend a lot of time on your motorcycle, you’ll probably really like this app. It’s not perfect – the UI can be a little clunky at times and the OBD2 integration is hit or miss – but overall it does the job and packs a ton of useful moto-specific features. Worth checking out if you want a one-stop shop for all your riding needs.
Editor Opinion
So here's my honest take on DMD2. I've tested a bunch of motorcycle navigation apps and this one is definitely one of the more full-featured ones. The offline maps are a game-changer, and I love how you can customize the dashboard to show the exact info you need. And the navigation is reliable and the GPX tracking is super useful for planning future rides. That said, the app does have a bit of a learning curve and the OBD2 integration can be finicky. And while the UI looks fine, it's not the most polished or intuitive I've seen. But overall, if you want a powerful, motorcycle-focused app that can handle pretty much everything, DMD2 is definitely worth a look.
