Reviews for Dogo — Puppy and Dog Training

← Back to Dogo — Puppy and Dog Training

I want to give a 5 star, but a recent issue with one of the course videos is making things difficult. The video for heel work keeps freezing and exiting out of the app, which gets annoying when you're only a free member and have to wait for each ad just to try and go back to that video, and crash again. I don't know how to submit that issue so I'm commenting here.

The developers are actually reading and responding to these reviews. Is there a for us to submit the areas where we (doggie + human) are struggling? Is there a faster/easier way to access the clicker? Does this only work with the clicker, or can we use just treats? My fur baby has started obedience classes with a professional trainer, and many of the techniques are the same. This helps me practice them at home.

Downloaded this app for training, couldn't access a single program without having the sign up for a free trial or pay a subscription, i knew there were subscriptions but though there was basic free programs. 😬 The only free stuff are things you can do yourself. I wish you could try one or two programs (without having to free trial it) to see how you like the app, before committing.

If I could give 100 stars, I would! Dogo is exceptional! I have never experienced such a level of training engagement in a virtual environment before. They are literally a message away and if you can't afford a membership the free resources will most definitely change your furbaby's life forever! That's the most amazing aspect, that it is not a cash grab like other apps on the market. For me, it was a game changer. It fit in with my busy lifestyle like a glove. And it's so much fun, easy!

Costs money, but $50 a year is a lot cheaper than hiring an outside trainer. I really like the videos, being able to favorite stuff, being able to sort exercises by category (like basics, bonding, care, etc), and that it has articles to teach you why and how training works. it also has a course to help you prepare to pass a dog handler liscence test, in case you live somewhere or want a breed that requires that.

The app can be a bit confusing at times. I have a hard time staying on track. Mabye try adding a schedule feature to ensure optimal results for the type of training you are looking for. Other than that it's been a major help. IV gotten loads of useful tips and helpful training stadagy that would could be er have figured out by myself. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking to train.

Its a fun app, but it could be better to be more effective - the clicking needs to be louder and more realistic. I have to add an external bridge, making the app clicker useless. Cost - $110/yr is too expensive for an impersonal app. Trainer feedback is already given in the free version, and that's the only personal aspect. Suggestions/improvements - allow users to record without having to hold down the button. Improve social aspect of the app. I can invite friends, but not share their journey.

Misleading from the get go. First, I have nothing against the subscription business model. It makes sense for a lot of businesses. In fact, it even makes sense in this application! But, the misleading part here is that there are two tiers, useless app with no functionality beyond begging you to sign up for the Premium free trial and the Premium subscription. This app has no free features, which is fine, but they should be up front about that and stop parading as a free app with in app purchases.

I like that it reminds me to do training games with my dog, but it has some quirks. For example, of I am at the end of one training exercise and open another, the new one opens at the end of the exercise instead of the beginning. I like the training techniques though and that I can track which ones to revisit later. Some techniques are different from the way I do things, but I just adjust my style for those. They are small differences.

Very pleased so far. Have used only for a few weeks. Tempted to give 5 stars, but I am a tough grader. Maybe after more time. Love the incremental approach of training each skill for very short intervals. Video guidance is very helpful; especially the added tips. We are definitely seeing progress in the couple of exercises we have started. Looking forward to more great results.

Directions are clear. You can't skip exercises that are already mastered. While the exercises aren't required to be done in a certain order, the next level are locked until the base is "completed". Different programs feature the same modules, but the modules aren't connected so the same exercise must be "taught" twice or more. Circles back to locked variations. Reminders are "on/off" not "set time" so it goes off at 10pm when I'm in bed.

Great so far! Especially for an new puppy or a dog with little training. My girl is more advanced with some of the basics, but this app also has great tips for struggles and games too. A lot of it is free for things like basic lessons, a few activities, and even troubleshooting for if you or your pup are having trouble. I do wish that there was a one time price for just the lessons instead of a subscription. The wording is a weird on some of the steps. Other than that fantastic!

Has a lot of potential for an affordable price, but the app is underdeveloped. My primary complaint is that you can't set up notifications the way you want/need, with the exception of potty training. Notifications are either all on or all off. This translates into a reminder every 30 mins to an hour to do some random training. A dog needs to complete the first set of trainings before they can do the second, so being reminded about the second isn't helpful and is, ultimately, annoying.

It is a wonderful app. Now if the app have some training video for visual learners that would be great or guest speakers, articles, dog treat recipes, and more. My favorite part is how interactive the app; for example, the different competitions, games, and tricks. My only issue is that that the app used to have an option for a lifetime membership. I tried to sign up for it again and I did not see it anymore.

I'm having a lot of fun teaching Mozart new tricks in a very easy and convenient way. What I'm really enjoying is the social aspect of this app. Posting photos of your pup could win you prizes like a coupon for free toys and snacks. It's such a interesting way of interacting with your furry friend. It's kinda like an Instagram for dogs... Just a lot better. I think what would be really cool, is if we added checkmarks or something for mastered commands. We could use the social aspect of the app to post a photo of the dog who completed a trick. Maybe add a leaderboard system of some sort. Maybe that's a bit too competitive lol

I've only had it a few days but so far so good, it does what I need but could use some improvements on the ease of use. I wish there was a widget so it was a faster click between activities instead of opening the app, clicking the right tab, clicking to add activity which only shows potty, opening the menu, etc. With a fresh puppy that's valuable time for chaos 😂 I'd also like it if when the walk time started it added the time to the calendar. But overall, it does the job.

I could only set alarms, keep track of shots, weight and where my pup made messes for free. Each of which I could very easily do myself. I suggest that when allowing free downloads that something is offered to make you want to pay for the premium features. And not just that the app is functionally useless without. One free program to see what you'd get is all you need. You have to show new people that what you have to offer is of value and an alarm clock/calendar is not enough, in my opinion.

So far it has been a great experience. The lesson layout makes it easy to tackle for anyone feeling overwhelmed by the idea of training. Biggest con: My wife and I share this and the reminders don't account for any potty logs she inputs, which results in constant inaccurate potty reminders. Very annoying. What's the point of sharing info?? If you want lifetime membership, you have to sign up for it in the beginning or the option disappears. Support denied this fact multiple times to me.

I am loving this app for raising my puppy. The potty notifications and tracking along with food tracking makes figuring out his day so much easier. I also like the vet appointment reminders, training articles, games and videos. My gripe is that you can't use it at all without paying after the free trial. I took advantage of a 70% off beg that that sent after the trial.

this app is very helpful for tracking my stubborn puppy's potty habits. and I like that it can have multiple owners who can enter the times. two preferences, but not enough to take off any stars: it would be nice if the android version would show a green or red for the day like the apple version does. my husband's version on the apple looks just a little different. also, some sort of summary showing trends would be helpful too.
