Very good, easy, and can work on the background so your free to use nav apps or anything els, my only problem is the max record time is 90 minutes, and mid drive if it stops recording its little hard to get a moment to start recording again, would be good to have a no time limit option, or have it start a new recording until you manually stop it.
Uninstalled within 10 minutes of installing and trying it out--was FLOODED with ads! I am willing to pay for a product that produces good results, but the free version is a JOKE and I didn't even get to use it long enough to determine if it's worth paying $14.99/mo for. (It's not worth it!)
Very good, simple, does the job correctly. Only issue i have is i cant set up a diferent directory to save the files in, currently its in Android/data, and in some of the phones that directory is blocked or hidden, and the files wont even show in the galery or cant be acessed by file manager, so its kind of a hassel to pull the videos out. Otherwise, the app is very good, been using it for a year now every time i ride on my motorcycle.
Just downloaded this app but it seemed to be just what I am looking for, something to record my comment while I am in the car. Will post an update as soon as I test it out on an actual drive. My only recommendations at this point are that the app be updated for Android Auto compatibility and/or have a setting that launches the app and starts recording as soon as it is connected to a car's Bluetooth. EDIT 6/24/20: Have to change my review to 1 star. App never worked, crashes & crashes my phone.
Downloaded after a cop pulled me over for "running a red light" when it actually barely turned yellow when I was already in the intersection so by the time I made it to the other side it hadn't even turned red yet. Ive also been the target of a few hit and runs. Hopefully no more.... but so far, app is doing what I need it to do. It eliminated the need for me to buy an actual dashcam.
Update: Tried this app again today 2/25/23 because I saw there was an update on 11/28/22. Been wanting to use this app for around a year or more but it's still useless. Can't even see if the issue of it stopping recording after a couple videos is fixed. It only lets me select internal memory. No room to do video on the internal memory; I always use the card. App doesn't even see my 512GB card. It did before. Android 11.
Uninstalled not even 5 Minutes into trying the app because I am getting flooded by ads. Yes you can buy a product if I believe in it, however, when I am not able to use it because of the constant ads then why should I even try? I have spent more money in simpler apps because they didn't make it impossible to try and figure out the dang thing. *After a response to the developer.
Doing the job, but is very hungry. I left the phone as surveillance camera for few hours with the app in background and the screen off and drained the whole battery starting from 100%, in 3 hours. It's good while you have power connected. Also don't have the possibility to go in standby when the power cuts of, then automatically starting when power comes back like other apps. Have to keep starting the app every single time... is annoying.
I've had the opportunity to use the app, just for a half hour, and so far, I like it. Mounted on my motorcycle, it does as described. Records location, and speed (sort of). My battery level increased. Videos are easy to access, and the edit tool works perfectly. It's approaching winter here, so not sure there'll be many more biking days left, and another opportunity to assess it. So, today I loaded this app on another phone, an older model, running Android 5.1. It works equally well there.
Don't get me wrong. This is probably the best dash cam app I could find so far. Lost 1 star because I couldn't find a way to retrieve the video file through Windows Explorer and it shows up as system files in Androids own file explorer, so media apps can't find them either. Lost 1 star because it stutters a lot when battery gets to around 30%. That's far from triggering battery saving mode. I have no idea what's going on here...
