Before downloading app make sure you are okay with constant phone calls and texts. Though I have repeatedly stated that I no longer want to be contacted the calls and texts keep coming. I downloaded the app to shop some cars and see what they had to offer and have been constantly harassed since that fateful decision. Will never do business with this company on any level, if they act this shady before we have even done business, how can they be trusted?
Reviews for DriveTime Used Cars for Sale
← Back to DriveTime Used Cars for SaleDrive time is not a bad app reasonable prices and good deals I was just looking to see what type of vehicles they had to offer for a reasonable price to be able to set my own payment be able to set my own down payment price and payment for monthly thinking about buying a vehicle from them in the future just wanted to check them out and I heard about him through a friend so I had to give him a check out
Hardly any local cars compared to any of the other car apps, when you filter results it puts limits so you can't search for exactly what you want like it wouldn't let me look for under 15mpg (I know most people want above that but I was looking for BMW X6M, it gets 14mpg) actually it had so few vehicles it couldn't find any BMWs and that was just the first brand I tried, and of course this is all after they've taken my social, credit, other info n agree to let them sell that info, horrible.
Ok... Variety in most popular models. All the vehicles are very clean, especially on the outside. (This is very important!). Not a (large) selection to choose from at this point in time. But Overall very pleased, and starting to get excited about purchasing a new vehicle this year!
What an absolute mess! I installed this absolute waste of time app because I was fed up with trying to look for cars and everytime I wanted to find out the price it would ask for my personal contact information and run a check on me. I don't have the time and patience for that repeated nonsense! So I installed the app hoping to look at cars without being repeatedly asked for all my personal info over and over. NOT! No such luck!! The app wants all my info again!and to do repeated approvals B.S.
Can't create account, constantly adding information every time I check back in. Call backs are unbelievable and I know we agree to terms but you all are ridiculous with the constant spam calls. False advertising in emails as well (once already approved just easily click the email to start shopping again) as you still have to re enter all your information AGAIN. Fool me once. Uninstalling.
Scammers and information sellers. Entered my info and about 30minutes later received a call from a drunk/intoxicated woman that finds it shocking someone wants to purchase purchase used truck. App is very much meant for people who have excess money. Financing assumes you make at least 2300 a month ha! Outrageous. It will say your approved even if you enter 1000 a month income. This app should be pulled from the store and the company shutdown.
If i could, I'd rate this 0 stars. I regret downloading this app. I figured I'd give it a try because I don't like dealing with salespeople. Less than 10 hours after viewing and 'liking' a few vehicles, I'm starting getting phone calls from drivetime sales reps trying to sell me a car. They call me at work and on my days off. This is exactly opposite of what I thought this app was about. Not to mention, the info and photos aren't nearly as in depth as they should be. Don't bother with this one.
The worst experience I've ever had! Had to give all my information and then I was told that I had to travel miles to a car dealership and give them my information again and was told that I had to give more of a down payment and more monthly payments then I can afford! Drive time is not for people that does not have a car and if drive time is not near them! Drive time is more of a joke than anything else!!!!!
Pulled it up to just window shop because I won't be ready to buy anything for a couple of months. Within a minute of playing with the search functions they called and we're pressing me to start working with a dealer or going over paperwork. Not the relaxed experience I was lead to believe. Do not recommend if you don't like getting pressured.
I like the app, but i walked away from my phone for a while and went back to it and it made me redo all of my info before looking at cars again. Also, no fault of the app but there's not a big variety of cars. I'm not sure if it's my radius of where I'm located in kcmo or what but we got approved for every car and I only saw a couple I was kind of interested in. I'm going to Uninstall the app for now and maybe come back at another time ro see if there's more of a variety.
I went through the approval part and was quoted $450 for a down payment. When I went into the dealership I was then told for a $14,000 car I would have to have a $9,000 down payment. I only downloaded the app because of ads on Hulu. This means, to me, it is a lie and false advertising. I will never buy a car through drive time
installed it, and pretty quickly uninstalled. I know they have a job, but getting multiple calls in a row, then blocking number, then getting reached out to by a different number, is a bit much.
IT'S A SCAM!! DON'T USE THE APPS, you need to understand one simple fact that you are not making any kind of deal you're basically setting up a payment plan that works for yourself that you can do at any dealership.. you're basically screwing yourself you're not negotiating anything because the price of the vehicle isn't changing just your payment.. when you go to the dealership and you negotiate a price that's different than the asking that is a deal you don't change the price of the vehicle
Entered my info and got several cars with varying down payments and monthly payments. a little while later went to show my husband and it said my selections expired, to enter my info again. Ok so we did, a few mins later it did it again and then again. I would still like to look because within 5 hours the ones that we liked are already gone it seems. So now I've had to put my info in 4 diff. times. Why? Now I'm wondering if it's messing up my credit and down pay because of all of the resubmits.
The UI is nice, but there's not a decent variety of cars, I can't narrow the filter down to a price less than $15K, and there's nothing on the app for less than $10K which makes no sense because I know several dealerships in my area selling cars for less than $10K. Don't use the app if it's your first time buying a car. This is an app moreso for people who are financially well and looking to trade in their car or something. Also the app makes you put in all your information again after you exit
I'm in desperate need of a car & have not so good credit, very little down & no trade-in. I thought I'd give DriveTime a whirl. The app was very fast & so easy to navigate. The questions weren't invasive so there's no worry about putting your info online. They give you some choices as far as down payment & monthly payment. Within minutes I was approved & being shown exceptional cars that I never thought I would be able to get. So far I'm very happy. Will update up on completion
The car is good. But i feel like i got majorly screwed over in every way possible with the payments and pay arrangements. From the down payment to the monthy payments, the bs silverock policy, the overall price of the vehicle and the interest rate, I just feel duped. I was told i would be paying 450 monthly only to be charged an extra almost 150. And the real deal offer is a lie! Every price they gave me online ended up being 3x more when i went in. I paid 3k downpayment and was told 600!
Don't believe the terms. I used the app multiple times to search vehicles and found a few within my budget. This was all done within a timespan of roughly 2 months. My terms rarely ever changed. But as soon as I call to set up an appointment to come purchase a vehicle, the worker on the phone quoted me a down payment and monthly payment WAY FAR OFF from all the term prices I was getting from the app. Like a whole $300/month difference. No point using an app to look for prices if it's not true.
Review? Im opening this for the first time! What? Why cant I view the cars, inside and out, in depth and mark my favorites? I was disappointed they didnt offer more features similar to other apps. Estimated down payment, monthly payment, APR, etc. I, personally, would like to see more location inventory before deciding to drive out to the lots. Bc i dont want to waste the trip if theres no point.
