Drivvo is a great car management and logging app. I've been using the app for well over a year and have even bought the pro version for backups. However, my only gripe on easy of use is that the odometer input defaults to zero if the screen is turned off. This zero then needs to be manually deleted in order to add your milage without an extra zero.
Reviews for Drivvo - car management
← Back to Drivvo - car managementI uninstalled the app two minutes after installing. Why? I had to type my car's model instead of selecting it from a list. That matters a lot to me and it means the app does not know or recognize that critical info. Data is critical in the information age. It also insisted (and required) on entering the "fuel capacity" which I also I'm not interested in tracking. I just wanted a simple schedule to track and remind of needed maintenance items. I dont care about mpg or costs. I use flex fuel.
Great app for tracking car-related expenses and maintenance. You can keep track of things like new tires, oil changes etc. Also, track and get reports on how much you pay for gas, which it great! Note this is NOT a mileage tracker, if you need to log miles for work, you'll need a separate app. But if you want all your auto stuff in one place Drivvo is a great app.
I liked the app in the beginning because I thought it had what I needed - the ability to track fuel-ups, services, and track multiple cars. But when I wanted to log all the reminders from my car's suggested maintenance plan, I realized that the services you can set reminders for are very limited. Seeing as that's one of the main reasons why I downloaded this, I'm going with carfax's app - it automatically reminds you and already has your car's maintenance recommendations.
I have been using this app for at least 5 years, I used the free version for 2 years prior to purchasing the annual membership. The app is a fantastic tool to keep track of all your expenses associated with your vehicle customer service has been fantastic I have used them twice. It can be customized to your expenses, repairs, etc. Can keep track of your car loan payments so you can know actual amount you paid for your vehicle at end of loan. The more info input the best the reports worth the $s.
Forces you to input gas price, station name & location, and other irrelevant details. Settings are hard to adjust & I had to fool around with it quite a bit just to get it to display a basic fuel calculation correctly. I simply wanted to track my MPG and this app is ridiculously complicated. It won't let you skip inputting the tank capacity, so then the app tells you when to expect your next fill-up -- as if cars didn't have gas gauges! Too much fiddle-faddle.
Love this app, tracks everything I need, especially nice for a new car. Once you figure out how it works it's easy. But no more paper documentation. Let's you upload pictures, I use it for receipts. Let's you set reminders for service and not just for oil changes. I bought the full version which is an amazing deal.
2 year update: I literally use this app every time I get fuel, perform maintenance, buy parts... Everything, every time. I can't imagine how I kept all of this data straight before using this app! There are a couple of things left to desire with pro members: 1. Uploading copies of receipts and maintenance records. 2. OBDII diagnostic and realtime monitoring. 3. Better gas finder feature that includes Octane rating instead of mid/premium/regular.
I have used the app for years and really like it. The ability to get set up service prompts is great. I can get a prompt for anything I want to manage-windshield wipers, brake pads, tires, oil, and more. Use on all three cars and sync across the family. The only feature I would like to see added, is the ability to dump to a spreadsheet for management on my desktop. A desktop app that syncs with Drivo would be great. One of the best apps I have for desktop syncing is Recipe Keeper. The cross platform functionality in that app is amazing.
Great App for tracking fuel and maintenance. I'm a little disappointed about the feature of searching for gas stations near by; 90% of the fuel prices listed on the app is incorrect. I at first got excited that one gas station, shown on the app, advised gas for $2.46 but it was actually $2.99. Since then I haven't trusted the listed prices. But it's nice to spot a gas station ahead of time while traveling on vacation or business trips.
I have been keeping Excel spreadsheet data for my fill-up for 5 cars over 25 years but occasionally I'd miss data because I lose receipts (especially when traveling, which I do a lot), so when I bought my newest car early last year I searched for an app to assist with my record keeping and quickly settled on Drivvo. In a word it's awesome. 5 🌟 stars all around. Clean, intuitive interface. The few ads are non intrusive. I record odometer reading, distance since last fill-up, distance to empty.
After spending a half hour setting it up, I finally uninstalled it. Wouldn't let me past my first refueling. Kept asking for names and all kinds of things that didn't seem to be relevant. Also required me to input the gas tank size in L, not gal, with no indication whether the odometer was miles or km. Who knows if I would get L per mile or L per km or what.. All I wanted to do was keep track of gas mileage and expenses for an upcoming trip.
Overall a great app to keep tabs on all your car maintenance & needs. Update.. I've had this app since 2017 & now it's suddenly crashing. I can't update ANY information without it closing first. I really hope I didn't lose all my data. This would truly blow. Please fix. Had to uninstall & install & then open apps on my phone & clear both the cache & the data in order for this app to work properly.
No default vehicle, have to create a vehicle. Rather then simply requiring a name. It NEEDS a brand. It NEEDS a model. It NEEDS fuel capacity, which it really shouldn't. Hell even I don't know the exact capacity off the top of my head. The only thing it should NEED is a name to identify it. To make it worse you consistently beg for reviews which shows since a lot of reviews are word for word Copies of one another. With the remainder just being the quick and easy default 5 star no text.
very easy to use. Keeps track of my fill ups, estimates wheb the next fill up is, able to keep track of oil changes and when the next oil change is. You can also plan out when to do routine maintenance on the vehicle. it also tracks on how much has been spent on maintenance and other expenses. Very easy to use. Ended up getting the Pro Version for a year which is well worth it. I would recommend!
It's good, but there's a lot of room for improvement. What I like: I can track vehicle maintenance such as tires, oil, vehicle repairs, etc., and get a feel for what the vehicle's actual cost per mile is. I love that there are reminders I can create. What can be improved: why is there no overall fuel economy average? Also, It would be great if I could create recurring reminders, by odometer and by date (check oil levels every 1000 miles, check tire air pressure every week, etc).
The app itself seems nice. It has a good clean UI, seems pretty intuitive, did a good job importing data from an aCar CSV export. However, the pricing for Pro is absolutely insane. I just want to get rid of ads, that should not cost me 50 dollars a year! A one time fee of 50 dollars would MAYBE be worth it for personal use, or 5-10 per year if you really must do the subscription route. Uninstalling, as the ads are too intrusive and the cost is far too high.
Had to switch apps after my old one was no longer supported. Came across this Drivvo app and am so glad I did. It works great. I had a little trouble getting my old data transferred over (probably operator error) and contact support. They were GREAT. Have never experienced much better support. They got everything set up and it all synced just fine. I'm looking forward to using this app well into the future.
Nice app. Use it to record all my car information. Update: I've been using this app for more than a year now. I can't imagine not having it now. I own 6 different vehicles to maintain. I have reminders set to check my air pressure, change my oil, get my tires rotated, and more. Best app I've found for car records that is also easy to use. I also have 2 phones I switch between and my data stays synced all the time. Great app! Would highly recommend it. Update 4/28/21 - still give this app 5 stars
Just a bad app. Calculations are inaccurate when filling up at the gas station; setting reminders by mileage/date comes late even though I've logged events AFTER the specified mileage; does NOT backup to Dropbox or drive. You can pay premium to export to a spreadsheet. Find something else to use unless you're okay with bad calculations and want to be stuck as a lifelong member. If you ever want to change apps later, you have to pay to leave, or start completely over with a new and better app.
