Description
Been using DroidCamX HD (Classic) for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you use your Android phone as a webcam for your computer. Pretty solid app if you’re into video calls and stuff like that.
Here’s what you do: you connect your phone to your computer over WiFi or USB, and then you can use the “DroidCam Webcam” on your computer. And there’s also an option for 720p/1080p HD video, which is pretty cool. And you can even use other apps on your phone while it’s connected as a webcam – it’ll keep working with the screen off to save battery.
Look, if you need a simple way to use your Android as a webcam, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the video can get a bit choppy sometimes – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if that’s what you’re looking for.
Editor Opinion
So here's my honest take on DroidCamX HD (Classic). I've tested a bunch of webcam apps and this one's pretty solid. The setup is easy and it works reliably for the most part. And the HD mode is a nice touch, though the video can get a little laggy in low-light conditions. Compared to some other options, it's a bit more basic, but that also means it's simple to use. If you just need a basic webcam app, this is a good choice. Not gonna blow you away, but it gets the job done.
