So here's my honest take on DroidEFB: EFB for Pilots (US). I've tested a bunch of aviation apps and this one's one of the better ones I've used. The fact that it's built by actual pilots is a big plus - you can tell they know what features are important. And the ability to download charts for offline use is a game-changer, and I really like the fuel price lookup tool. That said, the interface is a bit dated and there's a learning curve to figuring out all the features. But overall, if you're a pilot looking for a reliable, full-featured EFB app, I'd definitely recommend giving this one a shot.

Description

Been using DroidEFB: EFB for Pilots (US) for a couple months now. It’s basically an app for pilots that’s got all the essential tools you need – charts, weather, fuel prices, and more. Pretty solid if you’re a general aviation pilot.

Here’s what you can do: you can cache maps and airport diagrams for offline use, file flight plans right from the app, and get live ADS-B traffic and weather. There’s also a really handy fuel price lookup tool – it’s got data from FlightAware so you can find the cheapest fuel before you take off.

Look, if you’re a pilot who wants a one-stop-shop for all your flight planning needs, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the interface can be a little clunky at times – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you want a professional-grade EFB app without the subscription fees.

It's not foreflight, but definitely the best EFB for Android. Love the breadcrumbs feature but doesn't always save them. Can always be improved and Geo-reference on approach plates would be...
