So here's my honest take on Dumpster: Photo/Video Recovery. I've tried a bunch of data recovery apps and this one's pretty good. It's super easy to use and I've managed to restore some photos I thought were gone forever. And the cloud backup feature is also really handy. My only gripe is that the free version has a lot of ads, but you can pay to remove them. Overall though, I'd say it's one of the better options out there for quickly recovering deleted files.

Cons

  • The free version has a ton of ads

Description

Been using Dumpster: Photo/Video Recovery for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you undelete photos, videos, and other files you’ve accidentally deleted from your phone. Pretty solid app if you’re into data recovery and photo/video backup.

Here’s what you do: you can scan your device for recently deleted stuff and then restore whatever you need. There’s also cloud backup features, which is pretty cool. And the deep media discovery algorithms – took me a while to figure that out but it’s useful for finding old photos and stuff.

Look, if you’re always deleting important files by mistake, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the ads can be annoying if you don’t pay – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out.
