it's glitchy as hell. it unexpectedly signed out my account and when i try to sign in with the same email, it says "we can't send email to this address". totally ridiculous the way the app measures the% of each answers are inaccurate as well. i don't feel represented by the "traits" shown which is supposed to be my personality. anyway, i hope i can sign in again. i do get good matches, it sucks that i'm unable to reach out to them.
Reviews for Duolicious Dating App
← Back to Duolicious Dating AppCool concept and app in theory, with a lot of neat features. But the ai picture verification is a little shoddy and slow, I never got fully verified despite my profile being mostly made up of real, unfiltered pics of myself. And interestingly (stupidly) enough, there's no blocking feature. Curious since this app really is made to appeal to the socially inept 4chan incel school shooster type, making it pretty sketchy for anyone since you don't have the option to block psychos or creeps
Idk why it logged me out of my account, but its whatever. But then when I tried signing back in it keeps saying it doesn't have my email for some reason. There should be two separate places to create an account and log. It just causes confusion and stuff like this to happen so now I can't get back in my account.
I think the app in concept is decent, and when it works, it's serviceable, not the best, but gets the job done. However, the app can get very slow, refuse to load, and even sign you out at times prompting you to sign back in, and you better hope the servers are working so you can sign back in. I think if the performance and bugs can be improved, this can be a great dating app for geeks and losers alike.
First I wanna say that when this app is working I do like it. I think it's unique enough and there's no crazy paywall for standard features. However, I've been constantly getting network issues (random sign outs, profiles not loading, app saying I'm offline, etc...). If these issues can get resolved I'd happily change my score to 5 stars, but as it stands the app is hard to use. I'm guessing it's still growing pains from recent viral attention, so hopefully things improve from here on out.
The service this app provides is wonderful, way better than stuff like tinder and hinge. As others have mentioned, there are some small issues during peak times at the time of writing, but this is due to the solo creator not having good enough servers ready when this unexpectedly blew up. I expect that to be a non-issue soon enough and this is worth a shot for everyone who hasn't found success elsewhere.
Between such insightful questions as "Do you fold toilet paper when you use it" to its immense technical issues (I created a profile and haven't been able to login since) I think this app is currently in need of a re-work, and was perhaps released too early. I'd give more detailed feedback, but the server is down, also preventing me from deleting my profile. Needs foundational changes to question types, infrastructure, and perhaps a verification system.
Installed for a couple days just to check it out. Very small user base, only had two possible matches in my entire city, and unsurprisingly it's got 15x more men than woman, and that's discounting bots. Was a data leak though nothing too alarming, still shows poor security. Received several spam / fake messages from accounts simply listed as being unavailable. Overall just a waste of time
finally an app that's not full of **** in app purchases for basic features.
App was working fine until suddenly it said I was "offline" and then logged me off. I then spent the next 20 minutes trying to log back in, only for the app to be incredibly slow and log me out again. Now I've been trying to log in again for the past hour with no success. Please fix your app! It's a great app when it works, but the problem is it doesn't!
great idea for weebs but Verification is faulty. i've tried several times and it never goes through. 90+% of the profiles are either some guy larping as a woman to sell their art or an actual woman just selling their art. no ones theres to actually talk to ppl. also the 'must be a unique intro to message' feature is dumb. eventually people will run out of unique things to say.
only person I ever had a genuine connection with here turned out to be a state spy that got me kicked from the US and revoked my VISA, but I havent been discouraged from using this app just yet.
The app is good and all, you can text and receive texts without paying (unlike other apps), my onli dislike is that you can't repeat previously sent messages to a person, stuff like "Hello" or "how are you". Sadly, despite it being for chronically online people, female standards are still stupidly high, and if there is a chance you get a text back, chances are the chat will not go on.
Actually an amazing app with amazing features. There aren't enough users, but it's so refreshing. No swiping, no liking, just a powerful search and messaging. I wish every dating app was built this way. Could we get rid of the sliders and allow text input for the distance settings?
It's good, but every time I try to chat to someone on mobile it makes my whole screen go grey colored, and so It's bricked until I close it and reopen it again. Just a minor bug, but very impactful to my user experience. please fix immediately!
The best dating app around in terms of free features, and I love that it is open source. If you are into long distance dating this may be for you, but for me there were no good local matches even in a major city.
The app would be great if I could tailor my feed to show certain categories, such as if I only want to see profiles based on gender or what their looking for. Since the search is so minimal it would be nice to go to feed and see profiles that fit the criteria I would like. Also it would be nice if they fix the formatting for the ability to look for certain clubs in the search criteria
The app is alright. UI is stable and easy to use, matches are done through a questionnaire, so it's always updating, and profiles and messaging are available without any paywall. The problem is user base when nobody knows how to hold a conversation.
app crashes when I try to upload a photo for verification and the marketing is weird, but I really like this app. you can request your data and instantly download it, and the question-based match system is great. I do wish more people were on the app, but that's what happens when it's marketed how it is. Also if the verification isn't working and you send them an email, the manual verification is really fast. I basically just said "it isn't working" with a photo and they fixed it.
The server bloat is already getting better in the few days I've been on here, and I really like this question-answer match system. One issue I'm encountering is that I got some messages, but they just say "unavailable person." I can't see which guys actually sent the messages. It would be nice to know which ones put in that extra interest before I accept any requests. Edit: says I got an account strike, I'm guessing ppl report-spam accounts that don't reply.
