Reviews for Easy Metronome

Debra Johnson

I use this app for prescribed exercises that require me to hold many positions to the count of 30 seconds. I set the metronome to 60 beats per second. I like that I can choose the tone of the beat. It helps me focus and keeps my count honest. It's oddly soothing and doesn't use up much battery.

Surprisingly simple and easy to use. I went from a Yamaha Clickstation to this and have not missed it. Have used it live for a full band for 2 plus hour gig with no real issues. Was able to pipe from my mobile to the rest of the band without issues... Remember to have a fully charged battery if using the screen on feature.

Phenomenal. I like the straightforward interface. I'm a musician albeit self taught. and some of the metronomes are so technically involved. Those features are cool as hell. However there is something to be said about being able to open the app and immediately go "okay I'm playing James Brown, it's in 4/4, it's 118 BPM. I'm going to start at 90 and gradually increase. Teaching myself bass is now so much more dynamic of an experience. Some other apps, setting the BPM etc is needlessly complicated

I love the app, It would be amazing if the tap section of the app appeared directly at all times on the main screen, and not in a subscreen. This way I could tap while counting and start the metronome, like: 1-2-3-4-start. Or 123start. Right now this cant be done. I hope this gets modified soon ;(

Honestly haven't found a problem with the app. Super simple, lots of important customization, no ads, great for different instruments because of how much you can switch up the tempo and notes. Might even by usable for beginner to intermediate drummers. (Edit- you can also create your own beat by tapping on the tiles in addition to selecting preset ones. Very handy.)

I needed a basic app with a metronome for vestibular therapy as I need to move my head at 80 BPM. It also has additional settings for musical purposes like per built timing and the ability to add additional notes. So far I've not been asked to pay, but if it was a one time fee I would because the app works well and is easy to use.

App starts running in the background when my phone (Android) connects to my car (uConnect). It's not a big deal, except for the tick tick tick tick that unwelcomingly starts playing over my car's stereo system. The app doesn't show up in my running apps, so I can't just close it. I like the app, but I hate this annoyance, so I'm removing it for something better.

Love it. Most apps that say free make you jump through a bunch of hoops before you get to even begin using the app( like email and personal info) then they bombard you with a bunch of ads. Not this one. As soon as I downloaded it I was able to use it no ads at all so far, which is amazing. You get different sounds and you can set it to your specific time signature with just the touch of a button. I am very impressed and greatful.

Unable to use without an internet connection. EDIT Not sure what was going on. Anytime I opened the app without internet it forced me to go to the play store. No way around it. Uninstall/reinstall seems to have fixed it, hopefully it doesn't happen again. Now if only I could play other audio while the metronome is going this would be perfect.

EDITED REVIEW: Great app! You can adjust the beats so they are ALL at the same volume. I didn't realize that because I'm a natural moron! I've been a classical pianist for 60 years and have been away from the keyboard for a long time. I don't want stressed beats and I don't want pitches. I find the wood block to be the best timbre and least prominent pitch effect for my practice. GREAT, quick response from the developer to my earlier complaint here! Thank you!
