So here's my honest take on Easy Pose - 3D pose making app. I've tested a bunch of artist reference apps and this one's pretty solid. The controls are smooth and intuitive, and the ability to adjust the models in 3D is super helpful for getting the pose just right. Compared to using a wooden mannequin or drawing from life, this is way more convenient. The only downsides are the occasional ad and the fact that it takes some time to learn all the features. But once you get the hang of it, this is a great tool to have in your creative toolkit.

Description

Been using Easy Pose – 3D pose making app for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you pose and manipulate 3D models of the human body. Pretty solid if you’re an artist or illustrator who needs reference poses to draw from.

Here’s what you can do – you can adjust all the major joints and limbs super smoothly, and there’s a mirror mode that lets you find symmetrical poses. And it’s got a ton of different poses already loaded up, from action scenes to yoga positions. Took me a while to figure out all the features but once I got the hang of it, it’s been really useful for my sketching.

Look, if you’re into drawing or character design, you’ll probably get a lot of use out of this. It’s not perfect – the free version has some ads that can get annoying – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out if you want a better way to visualize human anatomy.

I use this all the time to get references for drawing anime waifus. The anatomy of the models is not always great, especially when you place them in dynamic poses,...
