Reviews for EasyTether Pro

I've been using this app for several days. During this time I've had multiple problems including sudden disconnects for no apparent reason, to where restarting my computer was all I could do to fix it, and then today out of nowhere, my bluetooth was deleted from my computer completely.Totally gone. Not even listed in device manager. This app has been a nightmare and I'm pissed that paid $10 to have my computer damaged. I highly recommend not using this product.

Bought this to deal with my carriers throttling issues for tether'd devices. Because I'm using an LG phone there are additional steps to make it work in the USB settings which my phone doesn't support (LG Stylo 5). Ran the wizard multiple times with the same failure. Emailed the support address and the gmail address provided below with no response, so now I have a $10 useless app. Might work great for some, but buyer beware.

I have used this app for about 8 years now and the only problem I have had was changing phones. I have used lots of different phones. I had an issue connecting with a zte because I needed new computer side drivers for the phone and I had an issue with the s3 because I needed to re install the computer side et program. I have never had an issue that wasn't related to a change in my phone. Great app.

Ok Just spent another $10 which I purchased like 10 years ago. Still no internet connection Using PDANet but that seems to always drop out when my phone screen turns off. I bought this like 10 years ago and used all the time with all the phones i've purchased but now I just don't know what happened to tjis app. Used to be great. No reply from the developer. Yet ?

Developer has stopped communicating. OpenWRT client is out of date. OpenWRT connector crashes on many ARM routers regularly. OpenWRT devs believe it is a bug in how EasyTethers driver handles high bandwidth situations. The app is showing its age, but there's not a lot of great alternatives in this space other than Tetrd and PDANet, both of which support far fewer client platforms.

Been using it for almost a year and it does the job. Have unlimited internet but didnt want to pay the extra for only 10gb hotspot, so a single payment of $10 was really worth it. Randomly will disconnect after an hour or so, but other than that no complaints.

i have tried multiple tethering apps. this one just works. period. the $10 is cheap for an app that gives you step by step instructions and a quality product. highly recommend. note to developers: wonderful app, but as others mentioned, the connection does drop about every hour. is it the app or the wireless carrier? oh. and for those that said they had problems after the Samsung note 9 update...i have a S10+. do a search online to get instructions for samsung. easy.

For a long time I've enjoyed this product it functions well and everything ran okay I was able to transfer from phone to phone whenever I needed and there were no problems. I gave it a 5-star rating for a long time until recently I bought a Nokia 3.1 and I've had nothing but problems trying to get this app to run again contacting the developer was a waste of time all I got was a single line of hypertext directing me to what they thought could answer the problem, they were wrong. but to be honest

Works pretty good, been using it daily for about 2 months. Only bad part is how it will disconnect at random. Sometimes it works all day and sometimes it disconnects every 15 minute's. Looked everywhere for a solution with no success. Still grateful this apps exists.

Works perfectly. So happy I spent the ten dollars on this. If you need to feather it's worth it. Dont believe it will work for game systems as I had to install other stuff on to my computer for it to work. But it allows you to download on your phone and transfer unlike other apps that make you need a internet connection to get started

I've been using the app successfully without issue since 2017. From win8.1 to win10. I see an update listed on my phones google update but it keeps crashing. With a few exceptions I've not had any problems and quite frankly I don't want it to update since the update came up with an error. Still the best app I've ever used but by god I'm not letting it update.

My home internet is down, and this has allowed me to use my unlimited Sprint plan (one that normally prohibits tethering) to stream YouTube videos on my PC. Works great, speeds the same as I get on my phone, and no buffering issues with video. This is the only app of its kind that seems to have a proper working Linux client (though it was a bit odd to set it up, they have good documentation), so kudos there.

So far so good. Att 10g hotspot slows down to 128k ancient speeds so looked for alt. The free version didn't work but due to good reviews decided to bite the 10.00 and thus far the speeds are fast and reliable. The install wizard was easy to understand but the free version didn't work but the pro version worked immediately on first try. Good stuff.

Currently unstable, win10 desktop app gives bsod sometimes and disconnects frequently. HOWEVER, it is the only tethering app that I could get to work with xbox based PC games (Forza horizon 4, Crackdown 3) without crashing the app. So far a couple things like constant disconnects need to be addresed and I will update my review when they are. (Im using a Note 9 on android 9.0 on verizon)

Works fantastically. using usb tether, i noticed my speeds are double when the app is open, but there's no setting on android to prevent the phone from auto locking. If you could add it to your app to keep it open without interaction (like youtube or netflix), that would make this perfect perfect

While this app works great upon USB connection with phone to Windows 10 Pro laptop, when system is idle for any length of time the app goes dormant. Only way to get connection functioning again is to pull USB cable and reconnect or stop and start the app on phone. Tried everything to stop computer and phone from going to sleep, even using multiple laptops, but with same results. Very annoyed and found a different app to do what this can't do... STAY CONNECTED!

I bought this recently and have it installed and ready to use on my phone. But I've tried repeatedly to install on my laptop and keep getting an error message. I researched the error message and it appears there's an issue because I'm running Win 10 Anniversary edition. I tried the fixes I could find - still getting the error code. So, I emailed ETP support twice - and have been waiting and waiting and NO response. ANY SUGGESTIONS?? I really need an option - SOON! I've heard incredible things about this app and really need to be able to use it, but it won't install and support won't reply - I'm running out of options. I can't be the only one with this issue....

The best app !!! Thank you ! I was using PdaNet for 1 year and it keeps disconnecting everyday or two or even every hour!!. I have a house in rural area and have no choice of internet service, only from cell phone. EasyTeather Pro did not disconnecting at all, work fast and reliable and option "connecting with attachment cable" is brilliant! Thank You ! Highly recomended this app !! Update...Using Task Scheduler on connected computer I can automaticly restart it daily. My cameras stays ON!

This app is great. Some phones you have to open the developer options and allow debugging or it will not work. Also the settings on both devices has to match exactly or it won't work. You also have to have the PC side running when you plug the phone in. On some phones you have to scroll the top of the screen down where you can turn on and off wifi Bluetooth and stuff. Open it all the way to show the messages because on some phones you have to turn on the USB tethering. If you are using the USB.

this has been the only tethering app I have used in the last 8 years, yeah the connection sometimes drops, but not as often for me. Only problems I run into is when the operating system on my phone needs to be updated. Last update I could not use the app while plugged into the computer. Forced me to figure out and use the Bluetooth option, which works but seems to be slower than plugged in. As I saw on another post i may have to make sure computer side software is up to date. Good app
