I dislike forced paywalls before being able to use the trial. this behaviour demonstrates the company isnt as supportive as it portrays. the paywalls being displayed after the 7 day trial would allow people to see it's value. Thanks, but no thanks edit: you can't skip the paywalls. you're asked to make a pre payment which starts soon as trial ends. my expectation is that you're not asked for a penny until after the trial, even as a pre payment.
Reviews for Emma – Budget Planner Tracker
Trying to cancel before the trial ends has far too many confirmations, for it to give me an 'Internal server error' when I get to the last hurdle.. That's a shady business practice. just give me the freedom to cancel whenever I want.
Not much use, misidentified a number of transactions from my accounts, and couldn't tell the difference between monthly recurring payments and yearly subscriptions. Automatic budget setting is useless and suggested a budget 3 times higher than income. better off using an excel spreadsheet tbh
Tomorrow was the end of my free 7 day 'Pro' trial, so I set about cancelling the renewal via the app. Easy to find the right place, unlike many others. Clicking through 'I want to cancel' took me through 3 stages of discount offers for Pro, I accepted at the 70% offer and can try it for 3 months if I want, at £3 per month. Seems useful so far, but I think I need the longer trial to be sure what it's going to give me. One thing is the data displayed on the homescreen is very crowded.
Absolute lifesaver. Managing my finances used to feel overwhelming, but now I’m able to track everything in one place—expenses, savings goals, bills, and even subscriptions. The notifications for upcoming bills are a great feature, and I’ve actually been able to cut out some subscriptions Id forgot about.
I like where it's headed, but still fairly new and I can't use all the features to its full extent because of it. Can't connect my schwab bank account for some reason through plaid, cant connect my venmo/cash app accounts (used for a credit card, and fractional investing, and split bills with roommate which would show income), and only mobile access (no desktop/web app). Subscription fee seemed a bit steep as well at 89 a year (unless you get their 1 year off promo dropping it to 29 a year)
Cash on hand vs liabilities nope! The AI is automatically excluding a monthly credit card payment from the analytics & from my committed spending in error and they can't seem to fix it. I have two credit cards I am carrying a balance on & the rest of them I pay off each month. The app only excludes my payment for one of those cards from the analytics & not the other. It's also incorrectly reporting a payment to one account as from a different account can't fix that either after 4 days. It Sucks
I've used this since pre-launch. Got Emma pro via referrals. Liked it initally so purhcased a yearly subscription. Now however NOTHING is syncing properly. I've had back to back issues when viewing my analytics reports, having my bank sync & accurate information being shown. To say I'm upset is a drastic understatement!! There are far better apps on the market that don't try and swindle you out of your $$$ to keep track of your spending. Want a refund on my yearly subscription at this point..
I love Emma! I was searching for a good app to help me keep track of my 1. Transactions , 2. Debt , and 3. Bills and Subscriptions. Emma does all that and more. It's asthetically pleasing, easy to understand and operate, and best of all free! Only reason it's not a 5 star is because it doesn't update my transactions as often as I'd like, but even that's gotten better with time. It' a great tool for me, a recent college graduate, to help my take charge of my finances. This + Dave Ramsey. 👌🏽💸
After trying an exhausting number of budgeting app, both paid and free, I found Emma to best fit my budgeting needs. Most apps have multiple issues that make the experience less than favorable. With Emma, even though it's a bit pricey, it performs better than the rest I've tried. I do wish there were more graphs and exportable reports. Otherwise its great for me...
