This app sucks. For years I have had to uninstall and reinstall to be able to log in. The biometrics works sometimes but then stops working. The two step encryption never works. It's a useless app if you can't access your account. I'm not sure why they haven't figured it out by now. Every time I uninstall and reinstall and get it working, two days later it stops working. Pretty lame.

Used to work fine, but now I can't use it at all. Biometrics fail, and even putting in username and password doesn't work. I was able to use my username and password just fine on the website but the app wouldn't take it. all it says is that an error has occurred and to contact a representative. What representative? There isn't an email or phone number in sight.

I keep getting the message "an error has occurred". This happens mainly at night and about 8 out of ten attempts during the daytime. When I first started using this app it worked very well. The first problem that occurred it quit letting me do a withdrawal. When I complained they said they were working on the problem. That was five years ago. At that time I was still able to check my balances and move my money around. Now I am not able to log into the account to do anything. It is call only

Riddled with errors. I keep getting errors when I try to log in. All software, phone and app, is up to date and I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but that didn't work. These errors seem to happen regularly. I can't get into the website either, it keeps timing out. I guess I can't effectively monitor and manage my investments! Thanks LACO!!

"An error has occurred. Please contact a representative." This is what I always see these days when I try to log-in. This has been happening for at least the last 4-5months. Once in a blue moon, it actually logs me in. I deleted the cache, I force-stopped the app, I uninstalled and reinstalled the app... always the same result. Complete garbage... These days, I have to always log in from a browser in a computer to see my account. Disappointing!

Login fails nearly all the time. The appetizer says "Please contact a representative" nearly everyday. The app is fairly useless but when it works, the info it presents is pretty good. I can't view my accounts most of the time, so the content doesn't matter if I cannot see it. Fix this please.

Can not log in via app. What happened? Continually receive: "An error has occurred. Please contact a representative." I used to get that error occasionally, now it is literally 100% of the time. I uninstalled/reinstalled app and was able to log in one time and that's it. Please fix!!

This app is fine... if you can login. Shows you your basic account info, balance over time, etc. But seriously, it's 2025 and we're still struggling with logins? How are we empowered exactly? For anyone dealing with this, uninstalling and reinstalling seems to work for me (at least on Android), but it's annoying.

I've called them multiple times because the app won't work, just keeps saying error. it works while I'm talking to them. The minute I get off the phone, it goes right back to error when I try to login again. Hire someone who knows how to fix these issues. irritating!!!!

used to be stable. For the last month or two I have to uninstall and reinstall just about every time I go to use it. Called customer service and they literally told me to uninstall and reinstall. once seems like a TV comedy trope. having to do it continually... I hope they're not that sloppy with $$$. Tried customer service after dealing with their app for a while. it told me I had a 30-second wait time. after 10 minutes I gave up and will be looking for somewhere else to put my money.

An error occurred. Please contact customer representative... Absolutely juvenile software development when a login error in the system backend is directing to customer service as a generic error. Additionally this sort of error implies an issue with the account rather than the app which it shouldn't. it wouldn't be so bad if it were very sporadic but it's frequent. for a company expected to hand so much money, to have an error like this at all begs to question how secure their systems are...

It won't let me log in to my account anymore even after doing all the identity check and password reset and reinstalling the app and NO ONE will get back to my email!!!! Refuse to do anything without you calling them. they won't even explain they just need to fix the app. I need to access MY retirement amount!!!! All these recent 1-star reviews and you can't say ANYTHING about what is going on??? I'm going to be complaining to my employer severely about this.

update - 8/9/25 - I have called customer service multiple times, navigated through the automation to a live person to complain about the login issue. Emailed this week and got a reply from Tilt requesting my info. time to move my money I can no longer access my account through this app. When I sign in i get a white screen with 5 bars and it stays there. It never opens my account. Called customer service and got did you try Uninstaller and reinstall, which I did. They need to fix this app!!!

I've never seen such a useless app in my life. Takes several attempts (with biometrics) to log in, and keeps timing out. Even when it does log in, it sits there for like 15 seconds before sound so. The app removes core functions that you can only access via laptop (and not even desktop mode on the mobile website) like brokerage transferring which is like the main reason to log in regularly.

Some bad glitches. When selecting some of the funds in the portfolio to view fund description and performance history, the app closes and I am forced to sign in again. The beneficiary information says spouse is "unmarried" but does not allow access to change the field to "married". When trying to change the withholding rate for a distribution, it appears to allow the rate to be changed, but then defaults back to a different rate and won't let me change it. That's found with limited use so far.

I uploaded the app to start a withdrawal, and initially, it ran smoothly. All required documents were provided, and I gave them the noted time to process. After seeing it was at a standstill, I called and was assured by 3 different agents they were processing that day. That was not the case, and after speaking with a manager a week later, they processed the withdrawal. Customer service was subpar, and besides a half-hearted apology from their Customer Advocacy Managers they did nothing additional.

As of the most recent update, 07-16-25, one cannot get an update as to how their investments are doing on a daily basis in the Balance over time section. One can no longer specify a specific day, only by month. Now the closest thing one can get is the previous month, not by day. You can't see whether your investments have made daily gains or losses. Please restore this feature.

This app continues to disappoint. It was updated "for a better experience" but it keeps getting worse. Now it's hit & miss logging in. Can't reset my password because it doesn't recognize any of my information. I only have the option to log in by phone. I don't like calling Empower, have to anwer too many questions. I know it's for security, but it's faster to do it online. Extremely frustrating this app is not reliable.

My experience has been garbage for months now. Like many others, I get the message "an error has occurred" with alarming regularity when I try to log in. It doesn't matter if I try username and password or biometrics, I get an error. T. Rowe Price was always reliable! I had no choice when the state switched vendors but I sure wish I had. Now it's the two step verification that's keeping me from signing in even though I checked "remember this device" the last time I signed in. FIX THE APP!

The app worked so well for many years and still does if you could actually get logged in. Several months ago you could suddenly no longer log into the app with Biometrics or credentials. My credentials work on the website, just not on the app. I've uninstalled the app, changed Wi-Fi networks, cleared cache, etc to no avail. With the latest update I can't log into the app no matter what I try. It seems that this is widespread, so Empower, why can't you fix this?
