I have redone my rating/review. Previously the phone and ear pieces frequently lost connection. This has been fixed. Thank you!!! This is a great app. Would get 5 stars if - one could download our own programs. Currently we must go to the retailer to get programs for music, outdoors, focus, etc. - one could make Music the default. Currently All-around is the default. That is great in some spaces but I like Music which filters out nothing. All that said, far better app than my prior O's.
Reviews for Enhance Pro
The Jabra brand is a choice for hearing aids. Having moderate to severe hearing loss make it difficult to be really specific about various fine points of hearing. I do have a real boost in hearing capability but they have the same draw back of all hearing aids...hearing in noisy places. I do like Costco's accommodating and professional technicians. They are well trained and knowledgeable. The price and warranty can't be beat.
Not able to handle the serious challenge of my high frequency hearing loss. The All Around feature is just amplification. Hear in Noise doesn't help much in moderately noisy restaurants. Worthless in above avg. noisy places. Outdoors not for busy city streets. Can hear birds singing in the trees if in quiet place. Have been told sound canceling headphones could work, but I don't consider them to be discreet, unobtrusive hearing aids. 😐
For some reason, either the app or the aids themselves make any video in Instagram or Reddit stutter while the aids are in the case charging. As soon as I put the aids in my ear, everything works fine. Definitely something on Jabras' end as my other aids never did this. Yes, I have disconnected/ reconnected. Un-installed the app. Restart phone...etc. Nothing works. Please fix this on the programming end.
Horrible garbage app. I hate it. Streaming audio constantly stutters and drops out and sometimes one channel left or right will drop out completely and won't come back until I reset the Bluetooth connection. Lately it badgers me to accept an Online Services agreement again and again and again every day or so. I am stuck with this app because I have no other option with my hearing aid earpieces. Too bad there's no competition where someone else might do a better job.
Jabra needs to get some software updates for this program and firmware updates for the hearing aids out quick. I'll have to see if I can return these for another brand because they're constantly cutting in and out all day. Lose one ear or the other for the hearing aid part, or one ear or the other for Bluetooth audio, several times a day. Have to go back and forth between restarting the devices and the app. Incredibly frustrating.
Just got the hearing aids yesterday from Costco. (Jabra Enhance Pro PM). Before going for the fitting I download the app on my S20+. Working with the tech we got it synced in a couple of minutes. So far, again only two days, the app works and the synching with the charger works fine. I used it to stream from my phone for a couple of video's and it was fine. A little "tinny" but I think it's because I have it optimized for speech. One interesting thing is that my "Smart Things" app I use for my TV and a few other devices, automatically recognized the hearing aids. Now I'm going to see if I can find a way to stream from my laptop.
Connection drops all the time. Software and/or product is deeply flawed. Reconnection process is bizarre, requiring multiple insertions into charging pod taking 20 min. You have to carry the pod with you everywhere. Samsung phone connects instantly but app doesn't use that connection. It says hearing aids are already paired with something else, duh the phone. Streaming doesn't work at all. Awful software. Instructions say you may lose connection to one of the aids. They know its flawed!
Pretty good units, service can be great 90% of time. Phone App is just "ok"... as connectivity is either great or inconsistent (w/Android). As for sound quality... 8 out of a 10 score... but still very good. For the price, well worth it vs over the counter "volume only" adjustment types (amplifiers). They set up and I still get some added control options based on certian environments. Very pleased for just over 2yrs now. Service is exceptional but can take a few days to get to you.
I just purchased my Jabra pair. My experience for the first couple of days with them has been extremely frustrating. Firstly, I'm being told that my Droid has upgraded software that won't allow my hearing aids to function as advertised. My left device either won't connect, and if it does , will drop off quickly. It will keep trying to reconnect every minute or so and sounds an alert each time that it's unsuccessful. It wears down the battery because it can't restablish connectivity! More. . .
