Reviews for Eqfy Equalizer for Spotify

This app made everything worse. The response from the slider movements don't make sense, the volume drops out intermittently when settings are changed, only to snap back when something else changed. The effects were less than useless, the process to save settings is cumbersome. Just a mess. I'd like my $3 back (no free trial version that I could see) but I'm not holding my breath.

Superb software. I bought Sony earbuds for a holiday trip and was disappointed with the super bass heavy sound. With this app I was able to tune down the low end and it was definitely worth it! When bypassing the EQ the earbuds are almost unlistenable. I've only tried with Spotify.

Amazing. That being said most recent android build seems to have made this unstable. If you start playing music in Spotify and then turn on the equalizer all works as intended. If you open Spotify, turn on the equalizer, then go back to Spotify to start music. It does not work.

As an audiophile, I am extremely delighted that I found the this app. Literally the only one that boosts particular frequencies properly and what's most important - the bass option doesn't make everything sound like it's underwater, instead dances within your skull. Thank you!

They advertise as a spotify sound enhancer, and it's fantastic! However, I watch a lot of movies and tv shows on my phone..and this app is an absolute staple. I only use 1 of the custom settings (theres like 6 customs plus their own suggestions so like 15 or so sound settings) Best purchase I've ever made. I'm also on a Samsung S8 active so, older phone friends..get this app if your sound for whatever isn't quite loud enough on the built in speakers. (Headphone sound is also great)

Perfectly works and intigrates with spotify. Now I am enjoying and listening to music on my humble phone oppo a7 through BT speakers at home, headphones, and car. Very simple to use, smooth equalization, a bit of fiddling on each sliders until you achieve the sound I like. Music is now more natural sounding not like most eq that masks details . Sound imaging is closer to reality. A plus for me that there is not a need to root my phone nor a need to purchase expensive external DAC. Kudos to Devs!

I have been using for about 6 months... Can setup multiple profiles. Fixed low volume over BT audio in my car, as there is a +/- 15 db signal cut/ boost. Was able to greatly improve sound of some cheap chi-fi headphones. Recently switched phones and had some finicky performance with output eq being applied the way I wanted. e-mailed developer and had very quick and very detailed feedback. Output functionality was already there to get me desired performance- 5 stars, DO NOT HESITATE!

I personally use this app all the time for Spotify, from podcasts to music this app can do it. Its one of the few equalizer apps that actually do its job and boost your music and or lyrics when you use it. I highly recommend this app for in car use, headphones, and surround sound systems, but you can use it for more! I don't regret giving this 5 stars:)

The application is the worst, as it automatically disconnects after a few minutes. Then have to open and close it twice to reconnect, which is very irritating. The developer hasn't responded to my emails, so don't waste money on this application.

One of the better eqs out there. A 10 band EQ is always welcome. Closest app I can get to sounding like Poweramp. However it's still quite buggy, often forgets custom presets (chosen but levels are reverted back to default (have to select another preset then go back), sometimes changes in bass boost doesn't happen dynamically, so app has to be toggled via the tick box. Really dislike how the volume gets drastically lowered when using custom EQ. Adding gain addd distortion to multiple speakers. Need the ability to rename the custom presets. Also due to the nature of EQFY needing to launch after a media app, it didn't work well with Android auto in phone mode. Also a shame there is no free trial for this app. I'm happy to pay for apps but don't like paying to discover in not 100% happy. Otherwise it's good so far, could be great. Keep up the good work guys.

Dishonest Equilizer. This app functions pretty well, but 650hz and 1khz adjust exactly the same frequencies, and it's the same with 2khz and 4khz. So this is really an 8-band EQ posing as a 10-band EQ. I would recommend customers to instead try the Poweramp equalizer which not only works correctly, but also sounds much better if you follow all of their setup instructions. Good luck!

Simply superb, and amazingly, it's free to use it everyday....Would be more than happy to pay for a Pro version to fairly support the devs. They've given so much to us, and all for free, they deserve a reward from us all. Great works guys. Keep it rolling 👊.... And no, I have no connection to the devs, but fairs fair, they've gone way above and beyond.

Dev just needs to add persistent notification and/or persistent app running in the background. (Xiaomi Pocophone)

Changed the review to One Star for 2 reasons. 1) Sometimes when I'm listening to music, the volume will dip down for a second for no reason. 2) This is the BIG problem. Occasionally when I start a song and EQFY automatically starts, a loud screeching sound plays instead and it plays at full volume... There has been no way to stop this except closing all my apps. This has happened while using my Bluetooth speaker, and with my headphones, nearly deafening me. This particular problem needs fixed ASAP. Uninstalled until then.

this app is awesome but I didn't expect for this update to make my phone even louder and I had this app for years now and my phone is old

Extremely useful and surely audiophile material. Underated for sure, you have to play with this and tune it. (Tip)You do have to slide the sliders up and down rapidly (in particular the gain) for it to take effect sometimes. Force closing the app also is needed if Fx and eq effects stop. It is definitely an issue, but a workaround in the meantime gets it going.

Quick and simple. Excellentl EQ!! As a music collector and audio quality scavenger, I've been testing out dozen of audio tools including paid as well as free jumping from one to another and finally this equalizer that is a top-notch with unparallel specs and performance, easy to set up and amazingly occupying a tiny space out of the box. Since then I've been rocking it along with Spotify and couple other music apps. PREMIUM GRADE STUFF!!! easy to use and made precise significant simple.

I have tried MANY of the equalizers available. Some work, most don't. I also don't like getting spammed with ads. Eqfy is different. This EQ is built by people who know music. Just visit their website and that's clear. I am an audiofile and was looking for something that worked specifically with Spotify (although this works with any media source). This was exactly what I was looking for. I would recommend anyone who wants a real EQ consider this rather than spending hours and hours testing alternatives that just don't work. I open Spotify and I have Eqfy auto-start. Very easy and intuitive. I just bought 500 watt speakers and play my tunes with Spotify and Eqfy. Eqfy really improves the richness of the sound of these speakers. It is very noticeable. Buy the app, it's cheap. Added: I switched from Spotify to Amazon Music HD because the music quality is MUCH better. Eqfy still works great.

Spotify really needs to develop a plug-in equalizer app to beef up their audiophile credibility. I've been spoiled by the awesome Poweramp and its EQ output. EQFY comes pretty close that. Playing through it on a Craftsman boombox (the best!) was an improvement on the low and high ends of the spectrum. The settings page is nowhere near as intimidating as PA, but I think getting through THAT mess helped to smooth out the setup. I de-optimized the battery setting just to be safe. It's only a few $.

Best EQ app I've found yet! Truly worth $2.99 and more. Ive always been disappointed by Spotify's lackluster sound ov3r Bluetooth in my vehicle (2005 Chevy Suburban w/ Bose, aftermarket BT). Some songs do sound good. Most are just meh. This app actually does what it says it does and acts like a real equalizer. I have the Pixel 3 XL. Make sure to turn off the internal equalizer first.
