I have 3 EQs on my phone-this one, Dub & Sound Beautifier. This 1, by FAR, is the best one...why? Just today, I turned on SoundCloud right after I opened Dub-I wanted bass-and started listening. It did not sound like I wanted. So I opened Sound Beautifier...now I heard the highs but the bass was way less-those settings are full blast! I closed both & opened this...ahhh. There's that quality I require-has 7 levels, too. Too quiet? Level it out w/EQ!!
Reviews for Equalizer FX Pro
← Back to Equalizer FX ProCompresses bands when you raise another, or use any of the effects. Could use some explanation on the 3D effect, and also a zero for bass boost. With EQ on I cannot return the sound to its natural state, regardless of how "flat" I set the EQ... Bad sound quality. Also, when I tried to get a refund it said "Not supported by our policy". I hit refund again, and it worked... For anyone else disappointed by the apps performance. 🙃
Read a lot of these equalizer apps are Trojans in disguise but will trust that this one isn't so will keep since it appears to function fine. Thing is, my music apps already have built-in equalizers so can't see much use for it. That it installs as "Bass Booster Pro," not the title shown here doesn't sit well with me.
Didn't work at first with my earbuds playing BBC Sounds music programmes, but I followed the instructions in the app to restart Sounds and then tapped the earbuds play/pause a few times and the equaliser took effect. Definite improvement in sound quality. But please could we have a light mode in the interface? I hate dark modes as my astigmatism makes it hard to read.
It made me laugh at least! The (5) preset options it offers, are basically just a volume knob..split into 5. The "meeting" preset was louder then "out doors", too! lolol. Queued 1 song, played another. No settings. Only help it offers, is a (?)..lolol Pushed, it says.. "If" the eq isnt making any difference, then we should just keep flipping the on/off switch! Llolol, Im guessin they were hoping it would have a Staple's button-like effect on it. Wishful thinkin im afraid, nice try tho..deleted.
Worked great the first day and loved it. Paid for it the full version. Day too. It says it won't work something about the equalizer being occupied by another equalizer app, but I have no other equalizer app. Try to uninstalling clearing cache, closing all other apps. It's just doesn't work anymore...
It reduces the volume significantly. They're is no boost of alt sort or amplification. I recommend power EQ instead. It is an orange speaker looking icon. Has the same exact bands of eq, but also has bass boost, surround, and most importantly for me, a booster amplifier to raise the overall volume.
Everything is good but it stops working as soon as the track changes, especially at high volume i.e. above 50 and this has been happening for a long time. This used to happen sometimes in my old device also and recently I have changed my device as well. But this is happening in my device too. This problem is there for a long time. Please fix it. My device is Motorola h40
It's good, at least this one works on Android 11 unlike many on the Play Store that simply stopped working after the most recent operating system update. Despite everything I wrote, the app is not there yet. The volume is great but the equalizer doesn't sound like a top notch equalizer just yet. It may be due to Android itself, who knows? I'm still in the look for the ideal equalizer.
Very convenient, plus wide range of settings to tailor sound to individual preferences.
Love the sound I get from using this. Much better than any app provided EQ. Please add the permission to run at startup. That's my only problem.
Got it for free =) pretty good thus far, it's super clean and fluid. Also has a really 'zoomed out' look, like a higher resolution. Most other apps from a lot of different genres even, look like their zoomed in to about like 600x800 lol. Check it out, and if ur unsure it has free version, but pro worth it so far. Let me reiterate: the app is really clean and simple, nothing over the top and random settings, just does what it says and does it well, the sound is GREAT. +I use 2 EQs for spotify.
Clear Sound, easy Setup - works perfect with Bluetooth devices and build in Speaker Going back to 4 stars because of the penetrant popup fir a review I"ve already done - really disturbing :(
Works great so far, still a couple of features I'm missing: 10 bands instead of 5 would be great, and some dynamic range settings like for punchier bass. The bass slider is kind of okay but for what I can tell it just adds general rumble. Raising it above 35% only adds mud, drowning the entire mix. That's only my very personal experience with the app. I still believe it's good and I kept it over others. Any time you can add those two features I would definitely rate it five stars.
7 band eq that does what it should.. only thing is when i activate the eq, volume goes bit low but that makes sense i guess since we might need to boost certain frequencies and need volume headroom for that without any distortion. so over all, no complains..
Quite possibly one of the best EQ's I've had the pleasure of using! I've owned this app for at least 5 years and as a Bassist of over 25 years, I've found that many EQ's do not play well with each other. However, every phone I've installed it on as been more than happy to work well and in unison with this app. I've never seen anything like it. Further more,I don't see myself without it for a long time to come! My Thanks To The Dev's!
The volume dropped a lot as soon as I enabled it (played with EQ, Tried built in presets, switched it off and back to full volume). Also only felt like the middle three adjustments made a difference. Bass (far left slider) just made it muddy. Far right made little to no difference to the highs. It did make a difference on vocals volume. May be helpful for some, but it didn't meet my expectations.
I have used several equalizers, some ok, most are crappy. This one works as an equalizer should, you can play with the individual bands and actually hear the changes in the tones. Not much of a sound "booster", but let's be honest that's all limited by the firmware and hardware of the phone anyways. Bass booster also works great.
Like the dynamic sound, but app stops working after every time the song changes which results in a sudden blast of sound that isn't good for my speakers. I've had older versions of this app and it did not do this. After every song change I have to turn the volume down, turn the equalizer off and then back on. Having paid for this app I should not have to do this and should not have this risk on my speakers.
The app misleadingly claims "volume booster effect" that "can also increase the volume". In fact it does not have real pre-amp capability, unlike other equalizers with pre-amp that actually add volume on top of what your phone is capable of. The volume controls merely turn up the phone's volume the way the volume-up button does. As we all know from experience with inadequate volume on phones, when you turn the volume up, the quality of the sound gets muddy rapidly once you go past the half-way point. (If I have overlooked a control for pre-amp, please point this out and I will change the review.) Also, bass boosting only decreases the treble in favor of more bass--it does not actually add any bass. On a positive note, the EQ settings have a good effect. Some reviewers have complained that the volume is reduced when you turn the EQ on. No, that's an auditory illusion--it actually goes from the phone's flat, unmusical sound to one with more quality based on the EQ settings.
