So here's my take on ERG for Android. I've tested a bunch of emergency response apps and this one's pretty solid. The info is comprehensive and easy to find, which is crucial when you're dealing with a hazmat situation. I like how you can save commonly used lookups - that's a real time-saver. On the downside, the UI feels a bit outdated and could use some polish. And you do get hit with ads sometimes, which can be annoying. But overall, it's a reliable app that first responders should definitely have in their toolkit.

Description

Been using ERG for Android for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that gives you quick access to the Emergency Response Guidebook – that’s the go-to resource for first responders dealing with hazardous materials incidents. Pretty solid app if you’re into emergency response stuff.

Here’s what you can do: look up info on different dangerous goods, like their ID numbers, hazards, and safety precautions. There’s also a search function to quickly find what you need. And the app lets you save your most common lookups – that’s really useful when you’re under pressure at an incident scene.

Look, if you’re a firefighter, EMT, or other first responder, you’ll probably find this app super helpful. It’s not perfect – the interface can be a bit clunky at times – but overall it does the job. Worth keeping on your phone just in case.
