$29 one time payment to set up a shop? A few months ago it was $11 and I couldn't even make an account during that time because it kept crashing. I tried for weeks. Not to mention I feel a little uneasy linking my bank account, sending in a picture of me and both sides of my ID only for me to not go through with making the account after all. Very dissatisfied.

Constant Crashing. I miss the old Etsy app. this app doesn't allow access to most of the setting in your shop, crashes whenever I attempt to open anything. I can't access customer messages. I can't do shop or shipping customizing. I shouldn't have to go onto my computer every time I add or update a listing because you can't edit the required content for listing.

For the last week I cannot upload new listing without the app freezing and crashing. I've cleared the cache and data. I've uninstalled and reinstalled. I've restarted my phone several times. I can't even reach out to support and contact an actual person for technical help. Any time I've tried to reach out for direct help the app stops me from submitting my number and everything on that aspect just says "null" and I'm unable to move forward. please help.

9/16/25: Was forced to update last week; same issues. What are you bothering to even update, your spyware? 4/15/25: Links to private listings will not appear in the customer's messages. They show up and work fine on my end, but the customer is not receiving them. False errors when sending messages, photos won't upload properly, and notifications show up hours after the fact. Utterly useless.

It crashes a lot. This week, if I click on a notification to open the app, it completely freezes and I have had to uninstall and reinstall it TWICE to get it running again. I do wish it would not completely reload the whole app if I leave for just a second to double check info elsewhere on my phone too. Edit: no longer opens at all. it will open and run once only right after reinstalling, then just has a plain purple screen that will never load further, even when left for half an hour to load.

EDIT: 2 years later and the app is still garbage. Sending messages to customers is a crapshoot; it may send, or it may never send and then disappear, leaving you to look like an idiot when the customer never hears from you. This is why Etsy is dying as a platform. Forced us to use this app after ending the old app. This app has too many issues, including the inability to upload pictures.

Can't log in anymore. Got a new phone and now stuck in endless captcha menus. Spent over 20 minutes just trying to log in, each time got sent back to the checkbox and had to redo the captcha. Can't log into my shop and take care of my current orders. Been using this app for years on my old phone. edit 5/29/25: I was now able to log in today after not hearing back from support. It required a code to log in and did not trigger a captcha. Hopefully they keep it that way.

The initial experience with this app was great and easy to sell on. However a few MONTHS ago there was a slight miscommunication with a customer resulting in my account being wrongfully permanently suspended. I have sent in multiple appeals with all the details I can give but every two weeks it makes me send in a new one. I've looked up other ways to contact them but it makes you sign into your account to talk to someone about fixing your issue. I cant do that though because Its suspended.

I have all notifications other than sales and messages turned off, yet I still get notifications for things like "new trends buyers are loving". Please give me an option to turn this off. If I wanted that info I'd seek it out myself. I used to be able to upload photos in the order I wanted them to be shown and now it seems to be random and I have to fix it afterwards. edit: still getting useless notifications, but at least the app doesnt shut down anymore

For months, I have been unable to open any options in the "More" tab (e.g. stats, payment account, etsy ads) without the app immediately black-screening and closing. I have tried updating, uninstalling and reinstalling, clearing data and cache from the seller app, restarting my phone, etc. The app is literally unusable other than receiving notifications for purchases.

Will promise you a free set up if you sign up for the plus model. but then charge you the full setup plus an additional 10 dollar fee and tell you "youll recieve credit back on month 7" if they lie on the set up page, think about where else they lie. for the same price(minus the hidden 10 dollar fee) amazon will tell you the truth and be upfront with costs

It works pretty good. Easy enough to use. Do not like having to use my laptop to do some things. It is not easy to do that when you have no internet, only data on cell phone. Also, I do understand the value of tracking numbers. BUT, I cannot always get tracking number updated before midnite so it then shows shipped late.

Works well until you want to add a listing. Frustrating because you can add title, tags, pictures, description, price, everything! Then when you publish, or rather.... the button right before publishing... the screen goes black. (on android) It's happened more then once. sucks because you put all the info, then fade to black, going back doesn't fix it...... idk! then have to start all over

You can not run sales on the app. you could with glitches, but now you can't at all. Before - you would have to set up the sale, go back a page, then click run sale again & reopen the sale page to change your percentage to confirm sale details. it would then post your sale & dates. Everything was saved besides the percentage you wanted to run. Now, you can't at all. The brilliant bot stated I needed to use a desktop to run a sale not the app, then 30 seconds later says I can use the app?

concerned on how my business will start. I do therian mask commissions, and to buy a commission, someone needs to message me on etsy first. and it's great! but for some reason, while im chatting with them, leave, come back maybe an hour later, the chat is gone? and no no no this isn't because they closed it, it just.. does this automatically. It's not closed closed. It just makes it so I cannot see it. and when I sea for it, its there? but when i open chat, they cant see my replies. major issue

The setting to disable notifications for Etsy selling features and seller education does not work. I still receive these notifications and they are excessive. So I'm just turning off notifications all together and relying on my email to tell me when I have a new sale. Wish they would just fix it. I have mentioned it multiple times.

Suddenly no notifications... I've been a seller for a few years now. I have never missed an order or failed to receive an order notification until now. I had a sale several days ago and no "cha-ching". It's during a holiday weekend and I'm not on an Etsy app unless need be. Thanks Etsy. I check app today and oh, a sale five days ago. All notifications are still on in-app and in phone settings. Nothing has changed since I received the last notification days ago when someone favorited items.

It's not emailing notifications and Seller's copies of correspondence with customers. I made a sale on April 12th that the app didn't show me. I only knew it was out there when the payment appeared in my checking account. At that point it was already overdue by 4 days! I fumbled around with the filters and finally found the sale, but it wasn't easy. I'm a small volume seller, I need the app to work! 4/22/2025 update - can't contact support via App, it only gives FAQs. No way to send a message.

Not good since the update. I'm trying to start a new listing and it let's me add the photos of my product at the beginning but just when I get close to the end and finishing up it ask me to add photos again. I don't know why I need to do that again but I do it anyway or try to and then get an error message. It ask for PNG format photos and that's what I uploaded but it still won't let me upload my pictures. This is frustrating.

I would normally give a 5, but the last few days, the app does not work when it comes to having to choose a processing file and it wont save the chosen processing file and you get a message that says it's not saved, and if you can get past that for some odd reason, it will not actually post the item. Something needs fixing. I did the newest update. It also would be nice to have a more decent way of contacting Etsy, when there are troubles like this, instead of having to state it here.
