extremely slow. someone can run up in your yard and steal anything. you will get the notification immediately but the camera takes so long to load up, they will be gone before you can do anything about it, even when im home. The motion light doesn't turn on most of the time until I've walked past it but is very bright. The camera does have a nice clear Picture though

such a shame as the cameras are of a good quality but viewing them is too hit and miss. if I want to view the live feed I don't want to be waiting 60s or having to close and reopen the app. This is on a LAN with an AP just a few ft from the camera, and also my device on the same LAN. I suspect all traffic is going up to Eufy and back down again even if the two devices are local to each other. Regardless it shouldn't take that long to work. Likewise accessing saved clips just does not work.

Terrible app. I am constantly trying to get app to sync with cameras. The wheel just keeps spinning the says can't connect. I am constantly deleting the same photos. app takes a long time to load anything. Half the time, you can't watch the video. Retry can't connect errors, can't watch live video. Never mind that the solar cams stop working in the heat of summer. I paid a lot for the cameras they could spend a little on their app. I have cheap doorbell cameras that work better than eufy.

App is still messed up even after the latest update, features still don't work properly, some of the recorded video is speeded up ( looks like something from the Benny Hill show), thumbnails aren't showing up or are very slow to load. At the moment it's not in a great place. Update, didn't think this app could get any worse, guess what, it has. everything takes an eternity to load, half the time when you click on a thumbnail/event it won't open, sometimes you get sound and no video or nothing.

I couldn’t connect the Eufy Pro 2 to the internet, even after multiple attempts. And this app is very frustrating. It requires location access just to connect via Bluetooth! To show a somewhat accurate body fat percentage, it asks whether you work out or not, but the setting does not stay saved. Over time, it resets, and the body fat percentage can jump up like 7 percent or more then you have to go back into the settings to fix it manually

Very bad. I am trying to open the signing! is asking to sign in. I entered the email address and pressed the signin button. It keeps asking for reading and accepting privacy and terms of use. I opened both documents, went through all the way down, and there is no option to accept them. Can't open the app as it would not move to the next step to sign in!

Update Aug 21 2025: this app has slowly gotten worse and worse. Very laggy, won't open video clips, just sits there and you get the spinning circle. And now the app won't even open at all. Downgraded from 4 to 1 star until they get this fixed. Also, as previously requested, please get rid of the annoying pop-up telling me that notifications aren't turned on. I know they aren't, I don't need to be constantly reminded.

I have four 1080p floodlight cameras mounted high on my soffits. Purchased 4 years ago and installed 2 years ago. After an app update, one wouldn't reconnect to the network. I removed it, and another one for testing, and they won't connect to the Internet despite a strong signal. I've tried everything in the FAQ's, called support, and emailed support. Nothing works. Why did you break a good product? Offering a 10% discount on the new model is not a solution. 9/26/25 Update: Logs sent to Eufy

1. The app has ads. That's an instant 1-star and a guarantee they'll never get another cent of my money. 2. The app is incredibly bloated with the most useless garbage you could ever imagine. Some ads, some stuff that no one on earth would EVER care about or use. 3. The newest thing is that the app CONSTANTLY sends you a notification saying "You have been out of the geofencing zone", every hour or two. Why would anyone think I would want an hourly reminder that I'm not at home? Driving me crazy!

When swiping left or right through the video clips, and clicking on the check or X as to whether the local AI was correct or incorrect in identifying people, cars, etc., you can only scroll through about 5 videos. The app won't let you review any more unless you press the back arrow, which takes you back to all the videos of that day. Hopefully you remembered where you left off, otherwise you end up skipping videos or rewatching videos. If you do watch more than 5, the app lags, then freezes.

Update: App has been working well. the yellow motion highlights are still not showing. But the ability to zoom in and out on the timeline is a huge plus. Playback always sends me back to 12am that day. So trying to see something later in the day takes forever to scroll through the entire day. There should be a better way to watch or scroll through the playback.

The app is ok. It could use some improvements by UI experts. I enjoy viewing the wildlife (aka "Pets") to guard against damage. The frequent missed motion detections demote the camera devices from 'security' to 'toys.' After several months of use, I am happy to use the cameras, but I rely on my alarm system for security. I use the app integration with Home Assistant, but Eufy doesn't help much there. In all, 3 stars.

I have 15 eufy devices. It used to work great. App notification settings have been broken since I got my Galaxy z flip 5 last year. The next version z flip 6 is available now but this app is still not fixed, so a year now. Notification settings aren't working properly. It's either on or off. Can't do custom settings per device anymore. Deadbolt stuck notification can't be turned off. All in all, this app has become an alert nuisance since I can't configure the notifications anymore.

I have four Eufy devices that are now basically worthless due to the Eufy app not functioning properly. The fact that it hasn't been fixed by now is a huge letdown and is completely unacceptable. In fact, I ended up having to leave my house unlocked one day because the fingerprint scanner malfunctioned and locked me out. I figured I'd just use one app when I got to work...nope! I've used Eufy for years, but now cannot trust the company.

Problematic and Sporadic. When it works it's fine, but not sharp. When working it is sluggish in performance. When it doesn't, which is more prevalent case, you can't lock and unlock the door via the app. You can't modify settings such as calibrate the lock or add access. I've deleted the app and reinstalled. Cleared the cache. My network shows the lock connected with a strong signal on the 2.4ghz frequency and nothing. Unresponsive. Yet, there is data transmission on the network.

Do not buy eufy products until the app is fixed. Until recently, I've recommended eufy to several family/friends. But I won't be doing so any time soon. Like many others have said, the recent updates have caused the app to open slowly and videos to load slowly. Nothing else has changed on my end that could have caused this. Until this is resolved, the "security" feature of eufy cameras is useless. By the time you're able to view the notification, whatever triggered it will be gone. Fix your app!

Takes forever to go through footage on "active" days. Seek bar is still crippled. No batch downloads. Takes several tries to get one video to play. When you're lucky enough to get a download to initiate, it feels like luck when a download actually completes. Some of it is probably due to the Homebase 2, but all of the above issues have gotten worse with latest update, aside from the seek issue, which is as awful as ever. I'll get homebase 3 if even half of this would improve. Plus it needs WPA3

App keeps getting worse and worse. It super slow and laggy. I can try to open it to respond to a visitor but sometimes it takes so long that the person already walked away. It doesn't always show me the events, I can scroll down my events list and it will just stop scrolling, you can see there are events below it just won't scroll down. I'll get event notifications for events, but they never show up in the events page. Once I view them from the notification, they are gone forever.

It's a good app overall, but adding the home base creates a headache. I want to see a 4k stream, but after adding the base I can get no better than 1080p. First, please figure out a way to do 4k with the base. Second, implement a way to disconnect a camera from the base without needing to fully remove it from my account and add it back. Should be as simple as selecting the home base or the memory card.

The equipment is great but the app takes too long to load ever since the new update. There is a delay with talking through the cameras so I hear my voice after. There is voice back feed. I can hear my voice and what I said after speaking into the app. also after the latest update, geofencing is now beta and it's not working like it used to be. Reception on geofencing is poorer than before not recognizing multi user's location correctly.
