extremely slow. someone can run up in your yard and steal anything. you will get the notification immediately but the camera takes so long to load up, they will be gone before you can do anything about it, even when im home. The motion light doesn't turn on most of the time until I've walked past it but is very bright. The camera does have a nice clear Picture though
such a shame as the cameras are of a good quality but viewing them is too hit and miss. if I want to view the live feed I don't want to be waiting 60s or having to close and reopen the app. This is on a LAN with an AP just a few ft from the camera, and also my device on the same LAN. I suspect all traffic is going up to Eufy and back down again even if the two devices are local to each other. Regardless it shouldn't take that long to work. Likewise accessing saved clips just does not work.
Terrible app. I am constantly trying to get app to sync with cameras. The wheel just keeps spinning the says can't connect. I am constantly deleting the same photos. app takes a long time to load anything. Half the time, you can't watch the video. Retry can't connect errors, can't watch live video. Never mind that the solar cams stop working in the heat of summer. I paid a lot for the cameras they could spend a little on their app. I have cheap doorbell cameras that work better than eufy.
App is still messed up even after the latest update, features still don't work properly, some of the recorded video is speeded up ( looks like something from the Benny Hill show), thumbnails aren't showing up or are very slow to load. At the moment it's not in a great place. Update, didn't think this app could get any worse, guess what, it has. everything takes an eternity to load, half the time when you click on a thumbnail/event it won't open, sometimes you get sound and no video or nothing.
I couldn’t connect the Eufy Pro 2 to the internet, even after multiple attempts. And this app is very frustrating. It requires location access just to connect via Bluetooth! To show a somewhat accurate body fat percentage, it asks whether you work out or not, but the setting does not stay saved. Over time, it resets, and the body fat percentage can jump up like 7 percent or more then you have to go back into the settings to fix it manually
Very bad. I am trying to open the signing! is asking to sign in. I entered the email address and pressed the signin button. It keeps asking for reading and accepting privacy and terms of use. I opened both documents, went through all the way down, and there is no option to accept them. Can't open the app as it would not move to the next step to sign in!
Update Aug 21 2025: this app has slowly gotten worse and worse. Very laggy, won't open video clips, just sits there and you get the spinning circle. And now the app won't even open at all. Downgraded from 4 to 1 star until they get this fixed. Also, as previously requested, please get rid of the annoying pop-up telling me that notifications aren't turned on. I know they aren't, I don't need to be constantly reminded.
I have four 1080p floodlight cameras mounted high on my soffits. Purchased 4 years ago and installed 2 years ago. After an app update, one wouldn't reconnect to the network. I removed it, and another one for testing, and they won't connect to the Internet despite a strong signal. I've tried everything in the FAQ's, called support, and emailed support. Nothing works. Why did you break a good product? Offering a 10% discount on the new model is not a solution. 9/26/25 Update: Logs sent to Eufy
1. The app has ads. That's an instant 1-star and a guarantee they'll never get another cent of my money. 2. The app is incredibly bloated with the most useless garbage you could ever imagine. Some ads, some stuff that no one on earth would EVER care about or use. 3. The newest thing is that the app CONSTANTLY sends you a notification saying "You have been out of the geofencing zone", every hour or two. Why would anyone think I would want an hourly reminder that I'm not at home? Driving me crazy!
When swiping left or right through the video clips, and clicking on the check or X as to whether the local AI was correct or incorrect in identifying people, cars, etc., you can only scroll through about 5 videos. The app won't let you review any more unless you press the back arrow, which takes you back to all the videos of that day. Hopefully you remembered where you left off, otherwise you end up skipping videos or rewatching videos. If you do watch more than 5, the app lags, then freezes.
