Not sure what happened but the connection is unreliable and slow. I tried to cancel it last year by disabling auto renewal. You have to select turn off automatic renewal 3 times. Once to submit the request and twice to confirm. I only confirmed once and was auto billed again last year. Didn't bother contacting to contest the charge. 2 stars for app UX. Simple design and easy to use/change settings. You probably don't need VPN but if you do don't go with ExpressVPN.

Does not work with Amazon Prime Video. No matter which server I've tired the VPN gets detected by Amazon. Also they don't have a lot of servers to choose from, even in the States. The app has limited features, both on mobile and desktop. The favorites don't carry over with the account when you log in to mobile version - what I put in my favorites on desktop app i had to pick all over again on mobile. Other than that the speeds are pretty good.

Horrible connection in China. My free vpn connects easily and consistently and unblocks all sites except netflix. I purchased this app for that reason but I can't ever get a connection...when I do, it will cut off multiple times requiring more and more time to reconnect. Not just for Netflix, but whenever I try to connect period...no matter which server I try. I read all these great reviews and articles...bs

Annoying customer service. For some reason I have been paying yearly subscriptions twice a year. When I was asked why, I was told the other charge was associated with a separate account that was not mine and somehow was able to use my paypal. I was not told the name of the email due to privacy concerns, which I can understand. However, they would not cancel my payments on this other account, citing that no request has been sent by this other account to cancel the service. Ridiculous.

STAY AWAY! Downgrading my review from 5 starts to 1. I had no issues using this product several years ago, but it suddenly stopped working one day, saying it needed to restart. I have never been able to fix the issue. Can't uninstall it, can't install over it. The Windows app doesn't even fully run, just sits there loading forever. Support is completely useless and so now this has become ovne of the worst products I have ever paid for. STAY AWAY!

Canceling takes more steps than you think. I deleted my old review to make this one. I had used the service for a while, but finally decided not to any more. When you cancel,you have to click Turn Off Auto renewal 3 times! And it's not clear when you are trying this for the first time. Due to that I was definitely subscribed longer than I had expected. The product is fine but beware the subscription.

Downloaded this for a two week trip. And while it may have worked, it absolutely decimated the battery life of both my S7 and my partner's S6. Besides draining so much faster they took forever to charge. I'm talking to a rep now, apparently there is a workaround for the battery drain, but that is of no help if they don't tell us (I was on vacation, not the time to be fixing the issue they clearly know about.) The thing that I disliked the most was that while I specifically purchased the one month subscription, at the highest price, they automatically set me up for auto renewal. There was no check box to authorize them to do this, and this is super shady and unethical. They are processing my refund right now.

The goods: Great app. Solid connection. Simple interface. I'm located in US but need to connected to Colombian servers to watch some content and the speed is pretty good. I can watch what I need usually without any issue. The bad: A bit pricey if you prefer to pay for services on a monthly basis and don't want to be tied for a year or longer contracts. Speed while connected to US servers is not as great as other competitors (CyberGhost specifically) Overall I'm quite happy with it

I really enjoy using the mobile app! The only feature I would add is an option to send push notifications to the user if their vpn is not currently turned on. I've had to turn it off for a few websites (due to ad blocking) and forget to turn it back on, so I go unprotected until I remember. Not horrible, but if I got a pop-up telling me, I'd forget less often!

Edit: the new version of this app fixes all the issues a was having problems with. It's much more stable now, and, as far as i can tell, doesn't leak anymore. It's constantly dropping connection and leaking. I click to retry and it's never able to reconnect. I have to quit it and try again. Even then it sometimes stalls and I have to force quit and relaunch. This is the most unstable app I've ever seen.

Good service. Just messed up customer care. They are quick to reply to emails before you buy subscription. Opposite is true after you buy subscription and need help. They cannot be reached via call, just emails. They messed up my order 3 times, and I repaid each time. The last time they did so, I only figured after I got disconnected. And all they do is ask me to pay again, just like that...no accountability at all. It's been 48 hours and my email has not been replied to.

Maybe it's because I have a Chromebook, but to be fair, it's supposed to work with a Chromebook. Well it didn't. It would continuously lose the internet connection and when the VPN tried to reconnect, it said the internet wasn't available. It was. Switching servers worked once, and then the problem immediately came back. I got tired of troubleshooting with the tech support. I shouldn't have to put that much effort into something I just bought. I took advantage of their 30 day refund policy and canceled. My advice: don't waste your time or money. There are plenty of other VPNs out there.

Do not recommend. Although the actual service is great, the customer experience is not. A one-time purchase for a single month requires and results in an automatic subscription. When following instructions to cancel, the "My Subscriptions" page says "Sorry, something went wrong, please try again later." They want you to forget about it, get frustrated, and give up and hope to get additional paid months out of the user.

Up until last week the app was great. There were very minor issues here and there, but nothing crazy. Now, however, there is no way to generate passwords in keys. I emailed customer service and the instructions they gave to "fix" it did nothing. I uninstalled/reinstalled and signed out and back in but nothing worked. There's clearly a bug that needs fixed but I guess the developers don't know or won't acknowledge it.

There's really only 1 site I use that it consistently has trouble loading content on. Otherwise, it can slow things down a *bit* but usually not noticeably, and other times it just can't connect for a bit. But it's usually fine. The app itself is super easy to use, and there are a fair number of locations to choose from. Not a ton, but I usually only use a handful anyway. It would be nice if they were a bit more varied. Do NOT like the new self-promo/CTAs that pop-in everytime I turn it on.

I highly recommend not buying any subscription. This app works 2/10 times. The main issue with this app is that when the VPN is turned on, the Internet speed reduces by a large extent making the apps fail to connect to the internet. So, what's the purpose of the VPN when you can't connect to the app that you want? Reaching out to their team is useless as they won't help. All they do is send a templated message asking to connect with their support, which they are most likely to do to this review.

Very effective and intuitive . For my purposes, I truly find this VPN to be the easiest to use and to work flawlessly. I especially like that it can be used with my choice of preferred apps, excluding other apps. I feel secure and like not being tracked and deluged with junk emails Unfortunately, I am the only person in my home who chooses to use it so it will be gone after free trial. Rated 4* for not offering less costly plan for 1 device only. (It would be a great deal for 8 devices.)

The app was excellent until the 5/7/2025 update. Now it keeps crashing, and I can no longer see the details of any of my saved "keys". UPDATE: 8/28/2025 dropping review from 4 to 1 star. Three months later, the developers are not responding to my requests for assistance. The only emails they are sending me are to extend my subscription. Keys manager does not work, logins no longer get autofilled, and now the app keeps disconnecting and blocking my internet connection. I will not be renewing.

I've used this app for years, and it's steadily gotten worse in some aspects. Windows and Linux have issues connecting on start-up, and if the thumbs up and thumbs down popup on android doesn't go away, I'm going to find a new VPN. The popup shows every time I go into the app, and will not go away and locks when hitting thumbs down. I have to change servers all the time because they are blocked, and the popup is annoying AF! Fix it or lose a customer.

I have noticed that fewer products that I searched are advertised later, but there is a slower loading of content on about 30% of information. ***editing review. I love that this app blocks ads. I do have to turn it off to use my banking app, then remember to turn it back on. so far, that's the only one I have to turn it off for. I had to get new phone and will add it here also. good customer service. Great Job Brave
