Horrible! The Speedpass app was fantastic. This one is horrible and I can't even log in. It keeps asking for my phone and PIN, and after I put them in it keeps telling me it's an existing account. No kidding! That's why I clicked "Sign In", not "Create Account". I even uninstalled it and reinstalled it, and the problem is still there. This needs to be fixed, and also the station locator needs to be added back in as well, according to other reviews

No map and poor location recognition. I am not sure what they were thinking removing the map feature. I don't have a single retail app on my phone that doesn't show me nearby locations. The station finder used to be my go-to during road trips. I guess they figured we should just use Google Maps now...? The location feature doesn't recognize which station I'm at. I hate having to take my phone outside the car to scan the QR codes. I hope they fix this!

It's better than before, now that it works. However it's painfully slow to get the app to scan and authorize the transaction. It's much easier to just use credit card on the spot. If you want to mine our data at least put some effort into the app that makes us wants to use it. Hence the convienece of using app instead of credit card. Thank you.

This app was never good, but now it doesn't work at all. Gave a generic "Something happened" error and kicked me back to the sign in screen. Gives the same error when I try to sign in. Bring back Speedpass. I had the same tag for almost 20 years, and it never failed once. Just because a technology is newer doesn't mean it's better.

Epic failure on the app redesign. While sure, the app opens and locates a station, that's the only functionality working. Apparently, you can't use the Pay at the Pump feature unless you are standing on the exact GPS location. According to the app, I was within 117 ft of the store, but not at the store. Maybe there is a way to bypass the location checkpoint, but if there is they buried that option. So, yeah, the app is unusable.

I really like the app and happy about the money. back. It needs to be faster and better at opening up and authorizing the pumps. The more a person uses it, should get more points back as well. In the past two months I have had nothing but problems with this app at not connecting, not opening up, constantly shutting down and having errors. I have emailed them twice and have got nowhere with it They just said uninstall and reinstall. By the way, that didn't work.

This app rarely works and can't be depended upon to pay for gas. For some reason it frequently will only work over the a WiFi connection, which you obviously won't have while visiting a gas station. Sometimes though, even when connected to WiFi, it still gives an error screen when trying to login. It's a coin flip when you get to the pump whether the app is going to be bugged. Given the simple purpose this pos app serves, it's completely inexcusable that EXXON can't keep it debugged.

The app works but it's too slow. I used to love using the key fob to pay because you wave your keys in front of the pump and it authorized almost instantly. Now I have to open the app, wait for it to connect to the pump, wait for it to authorize my card, and every step of the way is so slow. It would actually be faster to just take out your card than paying with the app, but I continue to use the app hoping for improvement.

I hate the app. It closes, crashes, shuts down, doesnt work more than it does. I live in a rural area, you have to pic and choose certain stores because, more does't accept the app and does. and don't rely on the app to tell you which stores accepts it, because several I've been to that the app says it'll work at, either doesn't work or doesn't have cell service. I had one of the original speedpass dongles that worked great at every store. Please go back to the dongles. please!!!!

Please fix your app so it stops popping itself up over my navigation while I'm driving. It's incredibly dangerous and unnecessary. Just never pop up. We'll find the icon when we need to pay for gas. Today it did it even though I had force closed the app after paying for gas. I do not use in a connected car, I have been using Android Auto, but I think it popped up over just Google Maps as well.

Often errors out or crashes UPDATE: editing this from 2 stars to 1. In the last several weeks I've tried numerous times to get this to work right and it either takes forever to select payment, or in the worst case scenario, it actually froze my entire phone up. (Galaxy S8). Maybe I"ll go use Fuel Rewards at Shell until you all figure out how to develop an app.

The application doesn't work at all locations like it should. It's either a location error or the application can't authorize the pump. This has been happening since the application came out for me. Its supposed to be a "SpeedPass" but it acts more like a "MaybePass". What's the point of the application if I have to go into the store. Then sometimes the registers mess up when you enter your rewards information. I have literally stood at the counter for 5 minutes. Very frustrating sometimes.

The idea was great. Emphasis on WAS. Simply open the app when you're at the station, choose the pump you parked in and authorize with a card in your phone. It would accumulate points with each purchase. But, THE LATEST UPDATE SUCKS! It crashes every time you try to use it. It eventually works but you need to try 6-10 times of crashing at different parts of the process. It's not a particular bug, it's an entire ecosystem of critters. By reading through the reviews it appears it affects everyone

Great when it works, which is intermittent at best. I have had my credit card frozen because of this app malfunctioning by hitting my credit card with multiple authorization requests for 1 transaction. Even if approved, the app will sometimes say sorry, can't do this now. Try again later. What? Like keep driving with little or no gas? Luckily the freezes are short-lived, but it is still a big pain. With all that money, is this the best they can do? If so, it's pathetic.

The app was great and worked for almost a year with few issues. But for the past month or so, I have not been able to access any of my account information. The support is absolutely not existant. Was told on the phone that I'd receive an email that never came. Sent in multiple tickets to get this issue resolved and never received a response almost 3 weeks later. I was using this app religiously for my frequent gas purchases, but not anymore. Beyond disappointed by the support team and this app.

Simply put as others have stated, it doesn't want to work right. The app just does not work. You can link your rewards card and yet it will lose your rewards card. You can find a station but that station is no longer there. Or let's say you are at station that is there but the app will not work because it is not able to find that station that you are parked at at that moment. The scan the pump function does not work either. Phillips 66 and Shell apps work great. Best to stick with them.

Previous iteration of the app was finally functional, and aside from occasional glitches where it had difficulty determining location and allowing you to select the current gas station, it was fairly convenient and simple to use. Latest update has been a huge reversal. Much clumsier, takes a long time to figure out it's location, not clear on what's happening when you're trying to authorize pump, and suddenly it won't accept one of my cards, or print receipts anymore. Locks you out for 24hrs too

Originally I left a 5 star rating, but as of the last update I most retract a few stars and here's why. The first system made it easier to just log in,pick the station, scroll to the pump you want, and click authorize the payment. But as of now you have to manually put in the pump number and reconfirm the payment choices, which slows down the process (not a huge deal but different from before). The second issue is locating the full Receipts. They used to get emailed

Updated 9/15/2025: This app remains as useless as ever. Within the past couple of weeks, I've tried on 3 separate occasions to use the app and it has failed to work every time. The app know the Mobil station I'm at, but when I select the pump I want to authorize, it thinks for awhile and then an error screen pops up. After a couple of attempts with that result, the app then says it's locked because I've tried to use it too many times! What a piece of junk. Switching to a nearby Shell station.

most of the time it doesn't work. sometimes pops up with an upgrade notification right as billing starts canceling the transaction. despite being on current update according to play store. sometimes it starts a transaction and kills it, causing the too many uses error if you try again "too many times". and sometimes it works without issue. one of those, love the idea but hate the execution. feels like intern programming.
