I never will consent to a "trial" where my credit card will be charged if I don't cancel. Things happen. You can forget. This one is for only 3 days. Paid subscription is just not a good model for a smartphone app. Most of my serious editing is done on a PC. The ad thing can be annoying but at least it is a way of generating income for the app creator. Also, this is an app I would only use occasionally.
Reviews for FaceApp: Perfect Face Editor
I usually love this app, but I have one massive complaint! When using it, the app will sometimes stop letting you use it entirely. They limit your usage even if you have a payed for subscription!! I'm currently trying to edit a Facebook photo to make the hair appear less blurred and more detailed, and I have been stopped from further editing any photos. The app should not be allowed to limit the usage for paying customers! 2 stars.
My rating would be higher if the free features weren't all gone. I use this app sparingly, but when I need it, it's great to have. Annoying to have to watch a video to access pro features, but now even that isn't an option. Literally nothing can be done except one smile choice without having to opt into a pricey subscription. I'd rather watch the ads pay a fee for as little as I use the app. But I can't find a free alternative, so I'm SOL.
It went haywire on me... . It worked fine in the beginning, although I only used it on two photos. The results were great. However yhe options were very limited if you didn't get the pro version. After that it seems like the app was trying to take over my phone. It started jumping around my other apps, opening and closing apps, etc. I uninstalled it quickly.
I really enjoyed this app when it works. it has a lot of really cool features. a lot of times however it just stops loading photos. Also, I wish we could edit the pictures that are not necessary "selfies". there's a lot of things I would love to use on regular photos, like filters and Saturation/shadows adjustments. an option to "add a face" would really be awesome, I'd definitely pay the yearly fee if that was the case.
Something changed and not for the better In previous versions the app showed a retouched realistic face. Now when makeup is applied it changes the shape of the face to a babyish appearance with all of the looks. Most of the impression looks have similar problems not just the "younger." It's no longer "natural." I was on the verge of purchasing and had previously tried twice (for some reason had errors) and I am glad I didn't. Edit- it's not what filters are there, it's how they're functioning.
Intuitive, unique app that allows you to do a good deal of testing out what they have to offer - without having to purchase the paid version. Easy to use, fun, but not so accurate when it comes to assuming what one will look like, or did look like, older and younger. All in all, a mildly entertaining app that caught the internet's eye for at least a week or two.
EDIT: Down from 3 to 2 stars because yet again, they've put more of the free filters behind the paywall. Not long ago they had it so an ad watch unlocked whatever one you wanted. Great compromise! But no, that was removed after only months! A great app IF they stopped block access to the filters. Bring back the ones we lost and add more to make this app worthwhile.
Sorry, was thrilled to find this for Android and what a disappointment. You offer next to nothing without paying 40 dollars. You don't even allow for ONE free item of each type to see if it's something I would be interested in purchasing. Not even with a watermark. I'm not buying anything I can't see. If I had to base it no the ONE goofball smile you are allowing us to see or the ridiculous set of bangs. No thanks.
Wow... Much better than some apps and more realistic. Only problem I had were the odd and disruptive ad placements. I understand you need ads with a free app. But put them in between image processing. The ads as they are can pop up at any time so if you try to pic a filter, an ad may pop up right as you go to press the filter you want. If you can just place them during the processing image that would be much better.
