Description
Been using FAMILIES | TalkingPoints for a couple months now. It’s basically an app that lets you communicate with your kid’s teachers and school. Pretty solid if you’re into staying on top of your child’s learning and progress.
Here’s what you do: you can send and receive messages through the app, and it’ll translate everything into English for the teachers. There’s also a translation feature so you can communicate in your preferred language. And you can stay engaged with your child’s school – took me a while to figure out all the features but it’s useful once you get the hang of it.
Look, if you’re a busy parent who wants to be more involved in your kid’s education, you’ll probably like this. It’s not perfect – the interface can be a bit clunky at times – but overall it does the job. Worth checking out.
Editor Opinion
I've tested a bunch of parent-teacher communication apps and FAMILIES | TalkingPoints is one of the better ones I've found. The translation features work pretty well and it makes it easy to stay in the loop on what's happening at school. In my experience, the back-and-forth messaging is more efficient than email. The only downsides are that the app can be a little buggy at times and the interface isn't the most intuitive. But if you're looking for a simple way to talk to your kid's teachers, I'd say this is a pretty good option.
