I love this app so much! After a tough day, I love to unwind with looking up people on here.I love how I would look someone up, and it would give you a brief synopsis of the last name, where it's predominantly located, and meaning. HOWEVER, Since you've done the update, it's made my queries infinitely harder. PLEASE bring back the separate ways to look people up. I literally feel like Im looking for the needle in the haystack now.

The New Search is better in many ways but worse in the most important way... please fix. I appreciate the better categories for search and the integrated results. BUT search only returns one genealogical record before going into other items. For me, it's almost NEVER the right person unless they have an obscure name and live in a small place. Too restrictive worse than unhelpful.

Hi, I just want to express a concern. I don't know if this only happened to mine. But I was writing a story in Memories and It was already very long and full of my thoughts and feelings when I accidentally tapped on the back button of the phone. Immediately everything I wrote was gone. I did not had the chance to click 'Save' so everything I wrote dearly just vanished. Maybe you can add a feature, a pop up, to confirm if one really wants to exit and discard everything that one has written? thank

February 6 2025--it's not syncing memories with the main server. None of the memories I've uploaded in the last 4 weeks have been added to the profiles of the people on FamilySearch so when I share files with loved ones--though they are marked as public it doesn't work This app is so helpful. It's getting easier to attach family history records to family members! Thanks! I love that I can see how I am related to other friends near me who also have the app open. What a fun update!

App is great, support team struggles. It's church service missionaries that aren't very technical. I had the "no capable browser" issue. They tried to help but just couldn't figure it out. I fixed it by changing the default browser in Android back to Chrome. I had it defaulted to DuckDuckGo. App dev team should fix this by invoking a capable browser.

Unstable and frustrating. Won't load most of the time. No longer syncs w/website. Terrible for editing and research. For merge or detach, half the time, buttons are below the phone screen, w/o the ability to scroll. Slow, full of bugs or glitches. I use it for quick reference, but must use the website for research and editing. Okay for checking your family tree at a glance and for sharing. Nice display if you include pics.

I just installed this & started with a basic search. It found records but they don't open - I get a brief "loading" spinning thing & when it stops, just an empty page. A message flashed at the bottom of the screen but it was gone so quickly that I couldn't read it even if it weren't partially cut off (which it is). I thought the problem might be my location, which is a different country from the records', so I tried a search for someone in my country. Same problem. This isn't very useful.

When I first downloaded this app a little over a year ago, I admit, I wasn't too sure how to work everything, and I was just sorta feeling my way around. Yet, as time has passed and more updates have come along, I find myself very much enamored with FamilySearch overall. This is a very good way for someone who's just getting into geneology to get their bearings. Yet, just because your tree may show you're a descendant royal lines, you're probably not. But I think they're working on that.

I spent over 3 years working on my family history on this app, and now I can't even access my tree with well over 300 people on it. There is no technical support to reach out to. I have to start all over and add people again and merge them. My memories are even removed from the app. However, the app still has all I have done on the app photos included. You can see it on other apps, but this is truly upsetting, to say the least 😒. I get it is free, but this is so disappointing.

Love the app! Helped me go all the way back it 1400's on half of my maternal side, as others have mentioned in their reviews, there are a few glitches, and some inaccurate things that will take some time to sort through, but to me that is a small fee to pay, for NO ADS, & a free research tool plus a free family tree builder. When people attach a back story or notes to a perrson its like a window to the the past , like you're there with them witnessing their life story play out before your eyes.
