App keeps crashing. Cannot play movies or download them. Besides this, it's a good example of how NOT to design an app. Counter intuitive in every single way. Fix it and I will revise this. (Using s6 edge +) update 2025: it's still garbage on an S23 Ultra. cannot even display my library properly without getting stuck. amazing how they leave you hanging after you have paid for their movies.

Cons: Constantly have to log in when searching and buying movies. Have to close app after too many logins. No biometric login. Hard to switch between payment types or cards (for those wishing to use multiple different payment methods.) Don't know how to report issues. Overall, it's still a great app!
This app is getting bad. I can't watch a movie without buffering, trouble streaming at a certain quality or playback error. It's beyond frustrating and apparently they aren't trying to fix the problem. I think im done buying movies from here until this is fixed. When it was just VUDU, owned by Walmart, it was a great app. Now it's 'Fandango', and it absolutely sucks. I think Amazon Prime will be my new library home for movies.
I used to really like this App. It was my favorite movie app, it no longer functions like an app, it sends me to a web page and it's glitchy, annoying, and forget actual customer service.. disappointing but it still has my video library, and I can still convert my movies to digital format, so I use it. Update: glitches have been corrected, working well now... but somehow I "pinned" a movie and it is pinned to the top of my lists, I didnt even know that could be done, how do i un-pin it?
I have been using this app for years. The sales and discounts are great and have helped me create a library with close to, 3000 films and over 200 TV series.I like making lists of favorite directors, actors, and even genres, and I like to customizing them in alphabetical order, but lately, I haven't been able to do that. Please bring back the ability to customize the order of My Lists.
the one thing that makes me hate this app, more than anything, is that I bought all of my movies and series on here back in 2012 and I haven't bought any since. I just got back on my account and I noticed a some stuff that I bought in SD...and the price to upgrade from SD to HD is the same price as buying the movie AGAIN! I could understand if the SD version was, let's say, $12.99 and the HD was $14.99 and you charged me the difference and just upgraded my SD copy to the HD version....NOPE!
dont get me wrong I would rate it a 5 but unfortunately recently Microsoft got rid of the movies and tv. Well technically not really rid but they stop putting up newer movies and so you can't buy any movies anymore which is a massive bummer. especially how I started to collect alot of movies over the past years and furthermore been an xbox user. ANYWAYS MY BIGGEST COMPLAINT is that they dont have all my damn movies! and that its telling me to rebuy certain movies all over again. FIX THAT!!!!!!!
it's fine, the movie quality is good, and the app is easy to use overall. but I am having some very infuriating issues... my internet is slow, so I download movies before watching them. but downloading movies in this app is miserable. if your phone screen shuts off, the download will reset and get stuck at 3%. I can't remove the download and restart unless I clear the app cache and app data in settings. I basically have to just keep the app open non-stop until the movie is downloaded.
Movies I've previously purchased keep disappearing from my library. Customer service does nothing even though they're communicating regarding this factor. And the disc to digital feature is a bigger failure than the ObamaCare website. Nothing works. Just error after error. The more alarming factor is that the app will provide an error saying I am not at my home location despite sitting in my living room. The reason this is disturbing is that the app doesn't ask for permission for your location.
Was charged over double price for a series I purchased. I already owned the series but it didn't carry over when they switched from vudu for some reason. I am in the process of trying to get a refund for the extra money I was charged and they keep asking me for screenshots I have already sent and asking questions I have already answered. They really do not want to refund the extra $20 they overcharged me. Worst customer service I have dealt with in a while.
App needs to have the option to search A-Z individually. I have 600+ movies and have to scroll through the entire library to search. Who on earth remembers every single film they have? Being able to seach, not just alphabetically, but by a specific letter, would be beneficial in so many ways. Also, the films need to be listed individually and not by bundle, just like Movies Anywhere. I prefer the MoviesAnywhere app because of this feature in their app.
Fandango completely ruined what used to be a pleasurable streaming service. Had Vudu for many years and never had a problem. Now I can watch anything without it constantly not working. It took almost 4 hours to watch a movie that is less than 2 hours long and this is happening on EVERY device I have it installed on.
Was amazing when it was vudu. I hate it now. I converted all my old DVDs through vudu's disc to digital and this is my main movie library. I love being able to watch on long plane rides and at home. Yet I can barely log in on my Galaxy tablet where I watch movies most when traveling. Please fix this!!! Edit: Support eventually got back to me and help me fix all of my login issues on all of my devices! So grateful that this is now working again for me!
How do I hate you... Let me count the ways! No picture in picture. I like to have a small screen so I can do something else on my phone like Netflix does. Can't change playback speed like Netflix. It doesn't keep your place where you left off in a series like Netflix does. I bought so many movies and series when it was Vudu and I am stuck with this app. Please steal ideas from Netflix and improve this app!
I loved this when it was Vudu. Since it's changed to Fandango it's been glitchy. The app doesn't work on my TV, I can't "resume watching" anything, and if I want to watch it on my TV I have to cast it from my phone. Sometimes even that doesn't work. I have a very extensive library in Vudu that took me years to build and I can hardly access it. Fix your issues please.
Edit 5/19/25: I put in my 5 STAR review in 2020. I really still love this app and ability to do digital to disc BUT 9x out of 10 I get an error doing disc to digital with the "server session Key issue" error OVER & OVER. I work in IT and I've tried different browsers, different phones/tablets with different Android OS versions, times of day, moon phases, etc. NOTHING! It is on y'all's end so please fix the issue or get new people who can. It is ridiculous that you can't add movies. Please!
Would give zero stars if possible. Everything was fine until a recently tried to login to my account and I discovered I was locked out across every device and could not even login on web. I've done literally everything to login to my account. Changed passwords twice. Uninstalled & reinstalled. Changed browsers. Changed devices. Nothing works. I've also tried contacting support and no one there will help. I've tried escalating via email to support. Zero responses.
If i could give you 0 stars i would. You have killed this app. VUDU was great. 90% of the time when making purchases shows an error and you just have to back out so don't get too excited when something on your wishlist goes on sale. Now I can't login on my smart phone and I have to get on the website to get a verification code to watch on my smart TV. To deny users access to content they have purchased is equivalent to thievery. FIX YOUR APP!!!
What a buggy, miserable mess. Ever since Fandango took over, this service sucks. The app repeatedly refuses to recognize my password, even if I literally just created a new one. Half the time when I go to make a purchase even when I'm signed in , I see an error message telling me there's a problem and I can't complete the transaction. But if I sign kn using my web browser instead of the app two minutes lay, it will process the purchase. I repeat: The app S-U-C-K-S.
Fandango, fix your app. This is ridiculous. The app will be open on my tablet, I pause to go do something, come back 20 minutes later logged out and my place was lost. This is unacceptable. Vudu never had these issues. And I shouldn't have to login every time I use the app. In fact, most apps like it let you stay logged in indefinitely or every few months at minimum. Seriously, fix yourself.
