The way the coupons work is just way too jank. The same service fee applies to both pickup and takeout orders. Payment methods are super restrictive - it's consistently rejected anything other than a mastercard and frequently makes me place the order theough the app then log in to the browser to complete payment. Customer support is terrible and seems to just auto-decline any requests. The only good thing is the speed since drivers are paid by venture capitalist funds.

I have not used this app to order yet, but it's simply because picture of the foods were obviously NOT true to the restaurant's preparation. Same picture that was used in multiple restaurants..there were also a lot of the reviews that said the pictures and the dishes were different in contents. This platform provides people with the services of food ordering, then it should set standards by asking the participating restaurants to provide true-to-restaurant dish pictures. Just a thought.

Avoid this app. I'll tried order meals several times and not a single time the food arrived on time. 1-2 hour delay is so typical and at that time the food is no longer good or safe. I don't see Fantuan has made any effort to make sure their deliverers can deliver the meal on time. There's often waiting list to reach to the customer service and the wait time can be very long.

the merchant canceled an item from my order without notifying me and I found out after the food was delivered. Now I have to get a new order to have enough food for everyone and pay another set of tips and other fees. The item they cancelled was menu priced at $22, I got a refund of $20.83. The amount without the cancelled item already uses full promo discount ($8 balance), but when refunding they deducted $8 from the refund for the cancelled item. They trying to get the most out of the customer

Worst app ever. Ordered food from a local Chicko chicken. Went to resurant to pick up order and they tell me order wasn't in there computer. So I reordered since I was already there. Called customer service because, I was charged on my credit card for the 1st order that supposedly didn't go through. Now Fantuan is giving me the run around saying that I never picked up my order. So they say it's my fault and no refund! If I didn't pick up my order than how did I reorder at the same restaurant?

Horrible experience using this app. Driver was 2 hours late after picking up the order so the food was cold and soggy. In total took 2.5 hours after ordering to get the food. Afterwards, I wanted to contact customer support and was in the queue for 2 hours only for them to issue a $3.99 coupon without even a chance to speak with them. Completely unacceptable service. Very disappointed in this app, I will not be using it again.

Had an order that was over an hour late. First time I contacted support, they took 20 minutes to respond, waited 1 minute for me to respond, and ended the conversation. Second time, waited about 5 minutes, asked for a refund, asked me to wait again for another 5 minutes, they said they would refund the small delivery fee, and then again ended the conversation when I didn't immediately respond. It's one thing to be a few minutes late, but over an hour is at least worth a full refund. Bad service.

DO NOT USE IT!!! IT IS TOTALLY WASTE OF TIME!!!!!!! I have never used such a terrible delivery app. I pre-ordered over 10 hours in advance. When it was the scheduled delivery time, nothing showed up. I contacted customer service twice and was told to be patient. After waiting for 4 hours without any order status updating, they cancelled my order without asking me and gave me a $3 coupon to cover the next order delivery fee. One star for nice customer service. They responded fast and polite.

They wait until after you've ordered to add additional fees such as the service fee, but the delivery came pretty fast. Ultimately this app is no better than any other delivery app. Maybe worse because it's not as upfront with costs. I recommend ordering directly from restaurant websites most times. I will be deleting this app as I personally see no benefit to keep or use it.

Ordered on fantuan - then I needed to modify the order less than 1 minute after and I couldn't . There was no option to cancel, and I tried to call the restaurant. They didn't pick up 3x. Then I looked up the restaurants website and Google pages, and they have no phone number at either places, and fantuan also can't reach their restaurant vendor at all. No idea if this is a real restaurant they have listed. Not sure I would trust the listings or promotions of places. Always check Google reviews

I dont trust this app. order shows complete, let customers go to pick up, but restaurant is closed at the same time?they just makeup some order status to fool u. After call, Simply refund the order and act like nothing happened? Great? No! Wait time for customer service is ridiculous. I bet they are having many cases like this. Another order shows completed, but it is not yet the time to pickup. Restaurant is also confused and frustrated. Not against local business, just not fan for fantuan.

Total scam, they will charge you service fee after you clicked order so you won't know how much they charged. It is hard to navigate and when some item is not available, they will only refund you the amount of the dish. Come on, they charged me 13% driver benefit and another sales tax. They should refund me those as well. And another thing, the driver doesn't speak english and order is very slow. Try ubereats or doordash...

App works fine for the most part, but I wish we could customize the tip amount instead of selecting a preset percentage. Deliveries are ridiculously slow and often delayed. My latest order was ready for delivery for almost an hour before it got picked up. The order was even marked as delivered at the 0:59 mark from my delivery ETA even though it hadn't arrived yet. Not sure if automated or if my driver did that himself. I wouldn't suggest using Fantuan if you are hungry or under a time crunch.

HORRIBLE APP DO NOT USE Read the other reviews they are worded better. The app tells you different prices every step of the way and then charges you more then the final listed price when you pay. VIP is auto checked and you have to unclick it each time you try to pay. You can't cancel orders it's a fake button. It will always say merchant has already excepted your order even if you try to cancel with in seconds of ordering. The coupons are fake. Don't blame restaurants. It's entirely the app.

Today I decided to uninstall the app after using it for 9 months in a row, because I realized that every update Fantuan asked to install meant to get more money out of customers without telling them. In the previous update, they removed some rewards, and now they started charging $1 for every pickup order. Come on! For the same food item, their price is much higher than on store's menu. It is a shame that I just noticed it. Just compare a few stores yourself and you'll see. Bye Fantuan.

it doesn't have a payment confirmation page. be very careful before clicking on the order button because you might be thinking you can check what the actual total price is after clicking it but it actually already placed the order if you added your card before. then you won't be able to cancel the order on the app easily like other apps. could imagine this product design is on purpose to trick people in. not to mention the hidden fee and higher price than you would get from the restaurant

This used to be a great delivery app, but they've gotten shady. A stray $10 charge showed up on my card from them when I hadn't ordered in over a month. I checked my account and not signed up for VIP or anything. Customer support did nothing and stopped just shy of calling me a liar even though I have screenshots of my statement showing the charge from them. Ended up having to contest and cancel that card. Delivery fees may be less on here, but they'll find ways to charge you elsewhere I guess.

App crashes regularly. Unable to upload photos to customer service on my pixel 6. Order total shown is less than actual order charged; it doesn't seem to include either tax or some sort of fee until you actually charge card and then order total changes. Many restaurants don't seen to check for their orders regularly thru this app. Very suspect. Proceed with caution. I was able to get customer service in a live chat, but it took nearly 30 minutes of back and forth to get my refund.

You could be the 10th in line for one delivery guy without knowing! It took 1 hr for the delivery person to reach a restaurant 3 KM away to pick up an order that was ready 40 mins ago, and no communication that they would be late at all. Even when asked the response was simply "3 mins", whereas in reality it's 40 mins later and way passed the displayed delivery time. The only thing the customer service could do was to offer a $5 coupon to be used next time... No more next time, thank you!

Based on today's experience. I wanted to take advantage of a 50% off all orders promo at Matcha Cafe Maiko. There are no restrictions. It allowed me to put the order in no problem. After order goes through and a minute passes, Fantuan automatically cancels my order. Happens another two times. Confirmed not CC problem. Reached out to customer service and they said they can't reach merchant so nothing they can do at this time. Ended up ordering directly with merchant....
