Reviews for Fastic Weight Loss & Fasting

← Back to Fastic Weight Loss & Fasting

This app has helped me lose 20 pounds (so far) in 3 months. The meal scanner uses AI to guess how many calories in my food so I don't have to weigh anything or count calories myself, and the process of intermittent fasting has worked better than any diet I've tried. The only downside is it really needs to be Internet connected to work.

A great app that doesn't require any thought. All you have to do is put the buttons in and scan your food. If your food has multiple ingredients, you can just use the voice input and put in American measurements and the app automatically converts it. i love the reminders to drink water and when it's time to start and stop your fast. Now i need to start the excersize portion.

Several things in the app do not work or work incorrectly. I found a support email address and sent a detailed email itemizing all the problems that I have been experiencing. Even though I paid for the subscription, I did not get any response to my email. The issues just continue to happen. I am sorry that I wasted my money on this app.

so far it's been working fine for tracking fasting, and the AI meal scanner seems pretty decent, but if you try to scan a barcode and add a food that way, it doesn't work. the only one that's worked so far has been by taking a picture of my finished plate and letting the AI go from there. would be really nice to see the other scanner get fixed so i can get a bit more accurate nutritional info for my food.

Great app! It's better than the other fasting apps I have used. It gives you complete control over your fasting window and planned meals. It also allows you to keep track of the water you drink, exercise you do, steps you take, and your mindfulness. I love that I can just take a picture of my food, and the AI will tell me approximately how many calories are in my food. The AI doesn't always get it right, but the app allows you to make changes to ensure accuracy.

Really great app for tracking my fasts. Simple to use, and it helps me stay motivated! Quick update: Still using Fastic over 3 years later. Have lost about 50 lbs and have managed to keep it off. Started with 16 hour fasts until I noticed I was doing 20 easily. I now keep it on 20 hours, but regularly go beyond 24 without noticing. On the flipside, you are going to have days where you binge (mine seems to have settled at around once every 2 weeks). Don't stress. Just get back to fasting. 😄

Not very accurate. The barcode scans the food box and gives inaccurate numbers that do not match the information on the box. Very little choice of food is added into their system unless you manually add it. The AI scanner is very inaccurate and uses food input in their system that has inaccurate information as well. Update several months in. Ita gives medium healthy scores to almost all food except for a small handful ( even to a mix fruit plate with nothing else on it). the barcode scan sucks.

After a few months use, I really like Fastic for tracking intermittent fasting schedule (in Android on Pixel 7). Information is reliable and well-sourced. Food logging is important to me, and that works well in Fastic, though bar code scanning seems to error out too often. The "scan your dish" (via a picture) works WAY better than I expected it to (though it often needs some manual adjustment too, not surprisingly.) The recipe list is useful also, with some really good ones for specific diets.

This app is good for beginners; but it leaves a lot to be desired. It allows you to control portions only in grams or fluid ounces; I am no conversion genius. I am not doing that every time. In my opinion, the ease of logging food and portioning it out is crucial. It doesn't take fiber into account, so net carbs are a mystery, which sucks if the user is on a keto diet. I can do a whole youtube video on it, but those are probably my biggest peeves about this app. Definitely canceling premium.

I've been using this app for calorie tracking, and it does a good job overall. picture scanning for calories is never as accurate, so dont track that way. Adding new foods by scanning the barcode works well and scans correctly, but when I add the meal, it re calculates, and the calories and macros are always incorrect, so I have to manually update it. I do still use it, but these are just a few annoying things, especially when you are on the go.

I like the app but I do not like the food logging. I would like to be able to change the default measurements. The food database seems to be very small and I am constantly being asked to add my foods which is time consuming and does not always work. It says try again when I take pictures. Its very time consuming. The app is great for information and tracking your fast but horribly lacking when it comes to food tracking.

I really like the fasting tracking, lessons, and habits. I've picked up a lot of useful information. I wish the food tracking was easier. Many of the food options only have grams, rather than portions (i.e. servings, slices, etc.) and I have a hard time finding foods, often scanning and entering them myself. That's fine, just a bit time-consuming. I appreciate the recipes and I'm hoping it will challenge me to make healthier choices. Overall, I'm very pleased with this app.

Tested the app and decided to pay for the full version for a year in order to auto sync from Google Fit to Fastic. At first it would sync, then it stopped. I unlinked and linked again and it worked, then stopped the next day (and so on). I reached out to customer service for assistance. They said they would get back to me, gave me a ticket number, then no response. I asked for a refund, no response. So I paid for a year of a product that doesn't do what it was supposed to.

Super easy to use, helps with focus and connects via a Facebook group. I'd recommend this app all day long. Update: I have had this app for 5 years. I have found that it is the best app hands-down for intermittent fasting because the user controls the eating windows. It doesn't lock me into a 16:8 or whatever like other apps. I change my start and end times based on my days. I'm down a cool 60lbs. and as long as I fast, I don't gain it back. There are also many more features, lessons, etc.

Extremely Disappointing – Waste of Money. I got this app hoping to use the photo feature to track my food, but it never identified meals accurately, not even close. I gave up on that quickly and tried manually entering my meals, only to find a tiny, unreliable database filled with user-submitted entries that you can't trust. The interface is clunky and hard to navigate, and there’s no meaningful customer support, just an automated email telling me the refund period ended.

I wasn't sure that I would like this app. I'm usually resistant or feel oppositional to notifications and reminders. But I've been using this for over a month and enjoy checking in to see if I'm meeting goals throughout the day. I have lost a few pounds and increased healthy habits like drinking water regularly throughout the day, eating veggies with each meal and getting steps in. I still sometimes ignore notifications but enjoy checking in a few times a day to stay on track with goals.

Picking back up with fasting and this app used to be better, it now keeps making me set my goals over and over again if I haven't opened the app in a few days and there's no skip option. After putting in all my goals again, it then spams me to pay and even almost forces it by pushing it into the Play Store subscription screen with the yearly price and my GPay. Have to be careful and make sure I don't press the subscribe button. I might have to find a new fasting app if this continues.

Great app with fun features. Just a few features need updating or changing. Finding your food from the last few days isn't always possible unless you save it as a favorite. I would like to be able to have faster entry. They also need to expand their barcode recognition. Many times, I've scanned something, and it won't come up, and I have to enter it manually. Otherwise I love this app and prefer it over MFP.

I do like this app alot. as a person that likes to track my sleep, meals, water, and steps along with some other things, this app tracks it all in one place. A few things I can't seem to get pass, I am an android user and have a Samsung smart watch so I have to have the app connected to Google fit. which is not a big idea but it rarely uploads the correct steps into Fastic. I would like to be able to use cups as a measurement for tracking food instead of just having grams.

It's ok for a free app, but not something I'd pay for if I wanted more. I just need a basic app to track my fasting times, no bells or whistles needed. This app does that, but it's a bit glitchy. On the graph, it often incorrectly shows I've been fasting for 24 hrs. It's annoying because that's kind of the bare bones minimum the app is supposed to do. The upgrade ads are extreme, constant, and very in-your-face. Unfortunately you can't turn them off without sacrificing reminder notifications.
