I've seen a lot of people using favor lately so I thought it might be a good app, and maybe it can be. Depending on your needs. My issue with the app was it didn't gave me a estimate amount of how much would it be for food, delivery charge and tip. I accidentally placed to orders trying to see how much it was going to be and I couldn't find a way to cancel my order. I ended up paying 19 dollars to get one meal delivery to my home ( $6 delivery charge) I contacted my driver and she was sweet and helpful so I gave her a good tip. I received my food and paid the whole 19 dollars. But I will never order from this app again. There are other and better apps.

The store my food was coming from is less than a mile away, and there is absolutely no traffic in my town (though that was the drivers excuse). Paying that much for cold food that has soaked trough its packaging isn't acceptable. I'd rate this app 0 stars if possible. Save yourself and download something better.
My runner was changed and it seems like whoever my new runner was just didn't care. The restaurant didn't have what I ordered available at the time, it seems, because the order I got was COMPLETELY different. But they already drove off before I could send it back. Wth? Also, they are more expensive than the actual place. They have free delivery but tack on about $5 to the order. If you place the same order on the website of the restaurant or store, it is like $2-$5 less than that on Favor...
New update. It's been 3 years and I keep getting asked so here we go. Up a star because I'm really into it. The customization is there and that's appreciated. You have to do it manually as opposed to picking multiple options but it still works well enough. Favor is still relatively pricey compared to other apps. Especially with grocery stores running their own delivery services. So basically, it's good to keep for the occasional treat to yourself but I don't use it as much as others.
This app was great in the beginning because it offered a lot of my favorite places. But then my food started arriving cold. Then the drivers started taking HOURS to deliver my food. Then the prices increased heavily and I couldn't figure out how my bill was triple the amount. Customer Service takes no accountability or offers any solutions. Since May 2019, I've been trying to cancel my account with them but they won't provide confirmation. Do not download this app and do not use this service!!!
Tried the app twice thinking maybe I was being too critical, but no... The fees are ridiculous. The wait time is horrible. Most items aren't listed on the menus. They hold extra money on my card for over a week With every order. When my $10 food order costs $25 to be delivered, it's an extreme overcharge. I will never use this app again!! I wish I would have read the reviews prior. I will stick with Uber eats for now.
At first, I was annoyed with the fact that you had to turn on your location services and select your address EVERY TIME you opened the app, but they have fixed that issue, and now it gets your address from history and runs smoothly. The few times we have had an issue (too long wait time... I'm talking 2+ hours, or wrong items delivered), they have always reached out to us and made it right after we inform them of the problem.
The concept itself is great. The delivery fees and available options is not so great. There are a few kinks with different menus for ordering g where you do now get the correct food and menu options and the uprising options are confusing. This service takes a $50 meal and often turns it into an $80 meal even before you consider any kind of tip for the driver. Pretty straight forward. Convenience at a hefty price...
The selection is good but the support experience really seems to be on the decline. I have had several errors with my orders caused by their human error and app problems. In the past they were quick to respond and offer credits and support. Recently when I report them they try to point blame at me, say they passed the error on but do nothing to fix or credit the issue. Cold and indifferent, I will use a different service from now on.
Multiple very bad experiences with getting deliveries. Wrong items, missing items. Support is provided via text and can go 15+ minutes without an answer. Sometimes extremely long waits for delivery, and then when there's an issue they shrug and give you a credit for what was missing, and you still don't have what you ordered. Rather than make it right they credit you exactly what you would've paid. You get double charged for fees if you reorder. Not acceptable for food delivery.
I just created an account and tried to add a payment method, but it doesn't let me (on either the app or the website), saying that my account is suspended and to "contact support". However, there is no support contact information to be found anywhere. The closest thing they have is a toll free number with a useless automated message. (in the app's Help section you can seemingly get to some sort of support, but only with regards to a specific order - so I can't do anything there)
Would give 5 stars if they could lower the cost a little. You pay for your meal, then their fees, delivery fee, and the tip. Sometimes this doubles the price of the meal you're getting. Otherwise it's been nice. Super convenient and easy to use. I especially like that with this app you can write in an address if a store you are looking for isn't on their list.
It's a decent, reliable app. Kinda generous with food credits. Not sure how long that will last tho. Drivers are pleasant (tons of smiles) and very polite. Kinda limited in food customization. I've compared it side by side against other apps and I'm definitely noticing a lack of options on this end. EDIT: After a good amount of usage, I noticed some pricing discrepancy. There's been attempted charges of $32 for what shows as a single $16 item not including a tip. No explanation can justify that.
The app is slow and buggy. If I leave the app for just a second it'll reboot the whole app, causing me to lose my place and forcing me to look at the intro screen for a while until the app loads back up. It's not a smooth app where clicks and swipes are reactive. Also, when they're running promotions, the fees are so high that it goes back to the same price before the promotion. Do better. After ordering a couple times, they randomly banned my account and won't let me place another order.
This app has gotten worse and worse over the past several months. When I first stated using the app in May of 2020, I was able to order and hit food pretty quickly. But now, as other reviews have stated, it takes forever to get orders. I've ended up canceling half the orders but it was taking too long to find a runner. Also they've either started adding fees or went up on them. Skip this one, it isn't worth it.
Terrible experience. Got a referral credit of $6 for signing up for the app. My order totaled to $13.50 but a day later I was charged almost $21!!! Never did the app say at the time of order that it was $21. After spending hours speaking to favor customer service, it was finally determined that Favor's $6 credit is only for a delivery fee, even though the screen on check out said I was paying $13.50. HEB you're not hitting it out of the park on this one! We will never use this service again. 👎
I am a Favor Gold member - at this time. It is really dumb that it doesn't keep the items in your cart to come back to later. If you leave the app, it clears your cart and you have to start over again! What a waste of time. They also have too many fees, but it isn't an app problem. The items are marked up PLUS they charge a service fee PLUS a delivery fee PLUS you have to tip on top of that. The $9.99/mo Favor Gold waives delivery fee only.
After a long time of trying to figure out price discrepancies, I've realized the fraudulent scam Favor is running. They'll charge you once for placing the order and tell you it's free delivery, and then once they have your money and commitment to order, they allow restaurants to then load up the bill with extra delivery fees, to go fees, non cash fees, and then pass it on to you. When you commit to the order, you can't fight the extra $5 or more they illegally add later.
the app doesn't allow edits to tips after submitting the order. when I place an order I can select a tip amount but once the order is accepted if anything changes like it takes too long or something's not in stock there's no way to edit the tip amount. so if it goes from two bottles to one bottle I can't the tip amount and I have to tip on two bottles even though there's just one bottle which is not fair favor needs to make this an allowable edit on the app
This app takes more than what they should, I buy groceries from HEB and it shows one price then all of a sudden I get charged more than the original price, plus more fees are added, and it becomes expensive! This is ridiculous and where can you adjust the tip, it shows only to add more to the tip!! This app was great in the beginning, now It's terrible, horrible experience!! If I could give a 0 star I would absolutely but of course only 1 star, Favor needs a change ASAP!!
