Scumbags!! The app never mention how you're supposed to cancel your subscription. Only says to send an email.. I've been in touch with the customer support and they have not followed up on my refund, despite the fact that I havent even use the app for an entire month! If you plan on using this app, please make sure that you go into your Google play subscriptions to cancel your membership! I hate how I had to reach out a couple times to figure out how to cancel my subscription.
Reviews for FAX App: Send Faxes from Phone
← Back to FAX App: Send Faxes from PhoneToo pricey for what you get. Be prepared to spend a minimum of $9.99 to send a fax. There's a per page charge but you have to fill up your bank and the minimum is $ 10 to do so. Yes you can send images as a fax but you can't merge them together through the app to send two images on one page. They charge you per page so that explains why. There's edit feature, but when you select it you can't edit anything, you can only preview the fax page.
App is great and easy to use. Top marks for that. Gave it 2 stars because the Pricing model is terrible for someone that only wants to send the odd fax. Subscribing for a week to send one fax is ridiculous and feels like a cash grab surely they know that some people only need to send a fax. Ended up costing me $9 to send one fax. Cancelled immediately. Will search for an alternative in future with a different pricing model.
Says app is free, but not really. Forces you to sign up for subscription in order to use it. Subscription is managed by Google outside the app so if ur like me and only need to send one fax, find some other way. You can delete your account within the app, but there's no notice that you'll need to cancel subscription through Google. Very deceptive.
Not a free fax app. You'll get to the place to send your fax and it'll pop up a pay screen. Put it on the market as a premium app and actually be transparent. I see you deleted your response claiming pay rates are visible on 'the Google Play.' Easy to get your download metric way up there when that's exactly what people will do for a free app. Trickery and deceit, check! What the 5.99-99.99 price variation? This does nothing for transparency on plans and doesn't clearly show the app is not free.
It is advertised at this app is free, but once you download it, it asks for subscription and then after you subscribe or pick a plan, you have to pay for the year, which is $599. That's completely ridiculous. then once I contacted support. They said these are 2 different services, and I would have to contact the other support. I told them that I would call the Better Business Bureau because they never sent my fax. They completely wasted my time.
I have no problem with them charging for their service, BUT they cannot advertise it as a FREE APP. It is then not a free app, despite the "free trial". I don't trust the free trial teaser, as my card gets charged and then I have to fight for a refund. Won't do it anymore. Not only isn't the app free but it also has ads. Geez, talk about having their cake and eating it too.
absolute garbage. ad bills it as free, as soon as you try to send your fax it hits you with a payment plan. dishonest and likely full of other gotcha moments like ads. all i know about the app was contained in the ad and it was a lie. i'm frustrated but i don't know if they thought i'd have no choice since i couldn't make an informed decision based on the lie. you don't have to, though! don't get this app.
Make this the last comment that you read. I was skeptical at first but this app is awesome. It's super easy to use and does exactly what it claims. I confirmed that my faxes were successful (used twice so far). Perfect for someone that doesn't send faxes often. I paid 9.99 for a bunch of credits and I doubt that I will use them up anytime soon. I can't speak for small businesses since I only use it for personal faxes.
Great to use in a pinch!!! I was happy to have this as an option in a pinch when I needed documents sent to my doctor's office. But, if you want it for a one time use beware that you will be automatically enrolled in an automatic payment system so you need to cancel your subscription right as soon as you are done or you will keep getting charged. To do that you will click on "contact us" then in the search type cancel. The fax sent quickly, it is easy to use and I'm so glad I had it when I did
***** DECEPTIVE***** After 7 weeks I found they were charging me a weekly subscription fee. I would have never signed on to such a ridiculous subscription. I thought I was just paying a one time fee to send a one time fax. They also make it difficult to cancel your subscription. There is no option to do so in the app. You have to go to Google play store to do that. There are other apps out there that will do what you need without all the deception. I have my bank involved. SCAMMERS
Great app so far. Just downloaded it. Had to purchase 250 credits for $9.99. That was the lowest priced one that I could purchase. Needed to fax 8 papers. Each paper faxed costs 10 cents. So I used 80 of those 250 credits. Faxed them and within 5 minutes I got the confirmation that the fax went through ok. Very pleased. It was very easy. I will be using this app again.
If I could give zero stars I would! I am not sure where all the five star reviews came from. In order to send pages, I had to choose a subscription first, so I chose 1 week for $9.99. I scanned all the docume ts and tried to send them and I got "error" message. So, I contact the customer service and told them, and they said they have technical issues and it will be sent when they fix it. They had no issues in taking my money. Don't get this app. It's a scam!!!
Did what it said it would. Went with the flat 250 credit option for $9.99 or .40 cents per page and thought that was fair for my needs. They have better packages as well if you really fax that often. I typed in the fax number, took photos of my documents, reviewed and sent. Was notified when the documents were successfully delivered. I don't have confirmation they were received but I trust they were. If they were not I will update the review. Easy to use, no monthly contracts etc. Easy to use!
CAUTION: ROBBERY! I bought credits before they decided to get rid of the credit-based system for the new subscription-based system, so all the credits I had on my account were lost after the change. I asked for a refund or free subscription, and they refused almost immediately. "When subscribing to our services, you agreed to our Terms & Conditions and proceeded with a purchase." Keep in mind I never subscribed... I'm sure there are much better fax apps on the market that don't rob the user.
So to Fax documents and easily set things up, this works great. It is $15 a week BUT I do appreciate that you can cancel any time. It was very convenient to be able to Fax from home. Now, I will say that I used a card that I never use to pay for this app. Within 3 days, my card has been compromised. Given that I haven't used this card for several months, it makes me think that my card info was leaked by this app, likely unintentionally. I recommend using a prepaid card when paying.
I haven't received a response from a single recipient to whom I've sent faxes to. No clue if they're being received even tho the app says successfully sent. I also just noticed once my trial expires, it's $14.99 per week! not per month. Per week! highway robbery for an obsolete technology. Just the convenience of being in a smartphone? There's no app since smartphones came out that's worth 15 dollars per week! Are you kidding me?? It makes Disney plus and Netflix seem like bargains.
Not Free------- Advertised as free, actually costs $15. It's cheaper to drive to Staples Edit to reply to the developer: Your ad says "Free to fax," which is false advertising. I'll be happy to send you a screenshot. Also, the "demo" is a demo template, and you're unable to add or change to your own content. Stop being deceptive. It's not only illegal but in bad taste.
One of the most frustrating and untrusted experiences I've ever had. It was easy to create a fax, But then it prompts you for a payment, that will be reoccurring until you cancel it. Then to make it worse, in order to make the payment they want me to input my password to my Google account. It states it will accept my fingerprint, but never gives me the option to do it. Sorry I don't trust apps with my Google password.
I came across this app as I needed to send a quick fax. I like that the screens are easy to navigate and that I could fax a pdf file that I had on my phone, as well as the data being encrypted. Unless I missed it, I wish it wasn't a subscription based fee to send faxes. I rarely ever have to fax anything, so I chose the cheapest option, but would like to see a way to pay only if I needed to happen to have to send something. Otherwise, I was very happy with this app and would use it over others.
