Description
Been using FerryFriend for a couple months now. It’s basically a ferry schedule and real-time tracking app for all the major ferry routes around the Puget Sound area. Pretty solid if you ride the ferries a lot.
Here’s what you can do – there’s detailed schedules for Washington State Ferries, Kitsap Transit, and King County Water Taxi. It’s got real-time predictions on when sailings will be delayed or on time, which is super helpful. And you can even see the ferry line cams to check how long the wait is before you head down.
Look, if you’re a frequent ferry rider, you’ll probably get a lot of use out of this app. It’s not perfect – the UI can be a bit clunky at times – but overall it does the job and makes your ferry commute a lot easier. Worth checking out for sure.
Editor Opinion
So here's my honest take on FerryFriend. I've tested a bunch of ferry schedule apps and this one's probably the most comprehensive. The real-time delay predictions are super accurate and it's great to be able to see the ferry cams. But the app can be a bit buggy at times and the interface takes some getting used to. Still, if you rely on the ferries in the Puget Sound area, this is a pretty essential app to have.
