The new update made it more tedious to view information on the positions tab. Previously I could see both prices and percentage changes at a glance and could cycle between info types with just a tap. Very quick and easy to use. Now, only one type of info is available at time, and to change type I have to use a drop down every time. Usability is much worse. Also, the previous red/green shades were softer and easier to view as a list. The new bold colors feel more cluttered.
Reviews for Fidelity Investments
← Back to Fidelity InvestmentsIt is basically just fine. Though could use some minor tweaks. I would like it to open up straight to asking me for my login rather than having to hit the login button. Also transfers to and from other banks should be integrated as being more intuitive...The biggest upset lately is my widgets disappeared. and I can't add then back. Even if there is a fix, I should not have to troubleshoot a banking app.
Was good at first, now features are slow. Trades slow. Says you have settled cash, then you use it and they hit you with violations. I could sell something today and it won't be available to trade tomorrow until market closes. Highest price when buying. Lowest price when selling. Otherwise won't fill. Also when I put an order in, it's never reflected into a quote. Go figure. Fidelity & Citadel in bed together.
Fidelity is a great platform. I love their zero-cost mutual funds, and I love that I can see so many stats about my account/position values at a glance. What I wish they had more of, and why I took away 1 star: • They're just starting to embrace after-hours trading, but it still seems to be unavailable for quite a few products. • While I don't invest a lot in altcoins for obvious reasons, Fidelity only has three choices of crypto. • Their graphs could be improved.
This app really sucks. I switched from Vanguard to Fidelity for partial share buys. The gains and losses chart never works. navigation really sucks. its pretty bare. I also linked my bank, verified its linked, and still cannot transfer funds to the account. I have found a page that says, "provide this info to your bank". very vague and lazy statement. Who do I provide it to? Just walk in and show some random person in the bank? this app seems to be some kind of lazy money grab. back to vanguard.
8/28/25- Fidelity decided to update their app and it is pretty bad. Half the stocks and mutual funds don't load for research. That just says error loading. When you log in everything is completely expanded and there's a lot of screen space over utilized and stretched out with lots of space in between everything. They took away the classic version. Everything is a lot more difficult to locate and they've moved everything around to where you have to constantly be searching for pieces of info.
App can be very sluggish on stockmarket open. Advanced (ascending and descending) Filters stopped working on last release. Fidelity also blocks several stock buy options (which I feel should also be illegal). Panorama (horizontal) view is blocking 70% of the screen with headers and footer, you know you can hide those ;( I have been using this app for 2 years.
Using Active Trader Mode beta: Things have gone wrong. The credit account is not reporting history properly and has an "orders" tab in transaction detail, plus the text notices when pending charges are posted have stopped. I switched back. Hopefully, that fixes it. Also, the accounts total now seems to be messed up and doesn't seem to be accurate! yikes (related to the above changes? or?)
The app is easy to use but more than that, I find the merit of a financial institution is not only how well they take care of your money, but also how easy they make it to move your money OUT when you want to (it is your money after all, but a lot of places stall like crazy!). I wanted to transfer part of an IRA to a different platform, and Fidelity made that process incredibly easy and FAST! I was very impressed. Will definitely continue to use their services.
The new update is simply horrendous. A prime example of UX developers sacrificing core app functionality so it looks "sleek". This app is absolutely useless for trading if you can't track your portfolio performance by holding, which you no longer can without clicking on 8 different things. I don't care if I have to side scroll to see everything. There is no point if I can't check the statistics of my positions in terms of overall gain/loss, day gain/loss, etc.
Decent app, but there is a display bug in the quick view page that shows all accounts without logging in. If the account name and the dollar amount can't fit on the same line, the dollar amount wraps around to the left. So now some amounts show on the right and others on the left, which looks unpolished. The overall total on top should include linked accounts, not only Fidelity accounts. At least there should be an option for that.
This app is garbage, I have been trying to pay for my credit card but the function keeps freezing, there's no way to pay not with my fidelity account or other bank accounts. Now they charged me a late fee, when I have never have one, not in this bank or any other. Tried to connect with customer service, but it's annoying, they asked for my social security number, and a lot of other info, when the only thing that I need is to talk to someone who could help me pay my credit card. It never happened
loved the app until all the new updates continued rolling out. I liked just clicking on the tickers and having it go straight to position details. I don't like that the tickers now have the full details on the portfolio page where you should just be able to take a quick glance, it's too busy and cluttered. also I don't like the default is candle stick view. I change it to line but it keeps defaulting. please count the clicks/ action to keep things quick and simple! I want the classic version bac
This is one of the most comprehensive yet intuitive apps for investing and saving. The ability to choose how much data to show is really nice for more experience traders. I just wish the would hide the screen when out of focus, such as when you are looking through your running apps, that way no one can see it if you leave it running accidentally.
Worst update yet from Fidelity! The app never carries the account information to trading screen! It always defaults to first account, leading to order placed from first account all the time! Unless User understood in a hard way, and select the right account from the drop down to place the order. WORST!!? If I could go back to old version, I will do it! Looks like Fidelity designer never use any other trading app.
The app is good for viewing your investments, but the interactivity is very limited. There will be constant errors when trying to link accounts such as adding funds for a 529 account, adding access to beneficiaries, etc, for your first transactions. After the first time, the app should run as intended. I highly recommend it using the PC version over the app due to the reliability of the website over the app.
First I don't know how you get two different ratings on two different stores. So many right? One thing that aint right is your app. It's slow. It restricts you too much for no reason. Your open positions and your pending positions are all over the place. There are different areas for each thing, and then it makes you click on the count that it's stupid. It's slow, needs improvement worst platform.I've used and i've used cash app. That's saying something
Recent updates have messed up everything from biometrics and log in to seeing balances. "We're sorry, we're unable to display accurate balances for certain accounts at this time. We're working to fix this for you. Please try again later." I never had issues seeing balances until now. The app keeps getting worse, as if they didn't want us to see what's going on with our money.
They finally listened to the feedback and made the platform usable by people that actually trade. There are still a few big issues, such as forgetting about credit card type transactions when viewing history - you currently cannot see credit card activity any more. Still, a big step was made in the right direction with recent releases.
Doesn't work on Pixel 10 Pro XL. The app presents across the entire available screen, so the "Log In" and menu links in the upper corners cannot be selected. When trying to log in another way, the end result is the same. Edit to respond to dev: did all that already. I cannot select "profile" because the menu is in the upper corner.
